Hi TGFbro, Unfortunately there's not a huge amount you can do short of moving closer to NA :-P Your latency is mostly down to your physical distance from the servers, which are based in Chicago. Until we figure out a way to break the speed of light (Hello, Quantum Physics!) - this is the main limitation to your ping/latency.

Due to the intermittent nature of your issue, I would advise using [winmtr](http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/) rather than windows tracert - this can give us a better look into the issue over a game, and see where the packet loss may be.

Ideally if we could get traces from when it's fine versus when it's not, it'll help us pinpoint where the spikes are occurring :-)

Hi WhiteNeT2, Can you try updating in safe mode? - Press Windows Key + R to open "run" - Type "msconfig" and hit enter - Go to the "boot" tab, and check "Safe Boot" - Put a dot in "Networking" - Apply/OK, then restart Once restarted, try once again - do you get the same error? When complete, repeat these steps but uncheck "safe boot" to return to normal boot :-)

It looks like it's taking you 30ms just to get to the first hop of your ISP though - which is pretty bad. It's then adding another 30-ish in the hop from Madrid to Frankfurt, which is to be expected. However your first hop should be closer to 5ms - not 30. I'd advise contacting your ISP for this. As Valzuuuh has quoted - we've been in discussion with Cloudflare and they have no reason to believe any confidential information from League of Legends was leaked in any way. It is, of course, best practice to change your password periodically anyway - as well as ensuring it is a unique password for that service. If your password is gained from a different compromised site, and you use the same password for LoL - your LoL account will be compromised. That's the nature of shared passwords. You should also ensure your email is validated - should anyone happen to compromise your account somehow, this will ensure they can't change the email or password - ensuring you keep access to it and can recover it easily. Again, to reiterate: **There is no need for panic** - while we appreciate what these threads are trying to do (Raise visibility to an issue and keep people safe), the warnings being given are for an uninformed, worst case scenario. "These sites all use cloudflare and are impacted". They do not take into account: - The information actually being passed through Cloudflare (IE: You're more at risk if a password is being passed through Cloudflare in plain text versus nothing more than an authentication key which expires in a few hours) - What sites *were* actually impacted (This is just taking "cloudflare = impact") - The actual severity of the issue (1 in 3.3 million requests - which as you can imagine is a relatively low impact) As mentioned, and to reiterate: - If you reuse your password elsewhere, you're always at risk. Don't do that. It's bad. Make a unique password for LoL. - Ensure your email is validated - Changing your password periodically is best practice anyway - despite this not impacting us, it's still not a bad idea to change your password every so often (And again, especially if you're recycling your password elsewhere) We're keeping close communication with Cloudflare on this issue - should any information come to light that makes us believe there's even a chance we're impacted, we'll take action. Right now, however, any password change recommendations we give are purely precautionary and best practice - we do not believe any account data from League of Legends was a part of this issue.

Otherwise, breaches on other websites = breaches on your LoL account, which isn't cool :-(

Hi Komodolai, We use cloudflare very lightly (mainly for static content caching - logins etc. still come through us) - they have been in touch with us and have no reason to believe we were one of the affected sites in any way. We will, of course, be keeping an eye on things from our end, but right now after talking with Cloudflare we have no reason to believe your information from us is at risk. However... It doesn't hurt to be extra cautious if you want to change your password, and ensure it's something unique for LoL - quite often the source of account breaches we see are due to weak passwords, or password reuse and other sites being compromised (IE: You use the same password as on Yahoo, Yahoo gets breached, those credentials are tested against LoL and work).

: Moving League to an SSD
Hi Call Me Śhadow, The easiest way of doing things I would recommend is: - Install the base LoL client to the location that you want it with [This Installer](https://signup.euw.leagueoflegends.com/en/signup/redownload) - When installed, Rename the "League of Legends" folder to "League of legends.old" - Copy your HDD copy of "League of Legends" in it's place - Done! Now you can run LeagueClient.exe or lol.launcher.exe from that folder to start LoL up. The reason for installing it first is to get any dependencies etc. installed, but LoL is pretty much self contained in that one folder and can run from anywhere, so long as the dependencies are installed first :-)

Hi SourMood, If you haven't already, please try running a repair on your client to see if this resolves the issue (The new client, not the old one). This is done by logging in, clicking the "settings" button (cog icon, top right), then clicking "Initiate full repair". I advise testing in a custom game to avoid further penalties once you've done the repair :-)

Unfortunately not - the teams get literally millions of bug reports globally, so responding to them all in any way would take quite an amount of time. Generally when they see regular reports of a similar issue, or they can easily reproduce it (Repro steps are so key!) - they will put it on the internal backlog for investigation and fixing.

: i just tried it again ,it has a lot of annoying things , friends list always open , the profile tab was easier to use but now we got collections as well (still wondering why summs & masteries are there and no skins) , cant see my champion statistics when I see my league , I don't know why the club has a specific menu for it even though it was easier to use and there was no need to change tabs to see it , adjusting mastery pages are much harder now ,literally ... I don't know how many used pages i have now ,and everytime i want to adjust one i will have to scroll to find it rather than just remembering the number , i didn't know what the 3 buttons (the "+" and the " garbage bin" where simple to know but still wasn't sure until i checked the tooltip) in the mastery screen do until i saw the tooltip .... rune pages are harder to adjust aswell , ~~can no longer see the blocked players (i used to check it every few month because it had funny names) ~~, the store is the same and the " play " menu looks better , the settings are bugged (changed resolution to 1600 x 900 then back to 1280 x720 but it no longer takes effect) , and i think it will work again once i restart . i will keep using the client for few days to see how it goes . EDIT : found block list players in " settings " xD lol

I also think a garbage bin is fairly self explanatory and fairly common usage in software for deletion/removal of something. Not sure what happened here, I'm able to adjust my resolution repeatedly without issue...might be worth submitting a bug report on that one. Overall I think a majority of complaints come down to "not liking change", but change is a way of things unfortunately. Hopefully once you've had a bit of time to use it you'll get used to the changes and it won't be so daunting to use. A big issue obviously is stability - if things are lagging, crashing, etc. - then that's much more of an issue, and this is why a lot of focus is on stability and low spec improvements.

As Perilum mentioned, "patching it" still requires development effort. It's not only about new features, but maintenance and changes to existing features. For example, if we change masteries or runes in the new client, and leave the old client with the "old" settings - that's going to cause serious misbalance in the game. Everything in the old client has to be "patched into" it - champions, skins, icons, number changes - none of that is dynamic.

The old client is pretty much bursting at the seams - it's bloated, difficult to maintain and improve upon, and every new feature we added to it was a nightmare to do due to the old architecture and tech debt. The new client makes things much easier to work with and improve, and is much more flexible. As such, the old client will not be supported once we're ready to switch fully to the new client. Rather than asking "Can we keep the old client", I'd advise giving feedback on your issues with the new one. For example, you mention it being slow and laggy - a lot of improvements have been made each and every patch to the "low spec" mode. Have you tried since 7.4 came out?

Pretty much! In even more awesome terms, we're "building our own internet" in a way - which is cool. Some people are interested in the technical aspects behind it, and this is definitely more geared towards those with that mindframe :-) For people wanting a tl;dr: We've got more access points for players to get on Riot Direct quicker, taking more of the "externals" hops to our servers out of the process :-)
