Save runes between logins

I play almost only tanks with the same set of runes. Sometimes after a fresh login I forget to check in champ select if the correct runes are selected since I basically use the same runes every game. But due to some reason the client doesnt save the last choice. It rather switches to some premade bull* like "Page 6 The Collossus". That behavior really is unexpected. Starting a game and realising during the loading screen that you "chose" the wrong runes, again, is really not the thing I need. Does this happen to you, too?
