Heimers turrets count as wards for missions?

Played an Aram vs a Heimer and then I finished the "Get a killing blow on 3 enemy wards" mission. The other opponents were Galio, Riven, Kha and Taliyah. So, I guess Heimers turrets counted as ward kills. I dont know if this also is also the case for the vision score but it didnt even show a row for wards killed. Maybe it never does for Aram since there are no wards.
