Garen gains 0.25 armour and magic resistance for every unit he kills. (max: 30)
Garen gains a defensive barrier reducing incoming damage by 30% for 3/4/5/6/7 seconds.
If Garen absorbs 350-1625 (based on level) damage, the barrier FORTIFIES reducing damage by a further 30% for 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5 seconds.
Idea behind this:
It's pretty much the same skill as before, the additional part is to help when they have loads of % health damage abd can kite Garen, so those risky Q plays don't always end in you being perma slow and guaranteed death - and perhaps while you're focused it'll buy some time for your team to help out :)
