Why aren't RIOT communicating?

We have all by now realized that Harrowing is awfully late, and RIOT has for some reason decided to simply ignore the thousands of posts hitting the front page every hour. I remember around a half year back, when RIOT promised that they would try to communicate better. Was that pure bullshit? A simple post, just saying "Harrowing will come soon, it has no connection to Halloween", or "Harrowing is cancelled because of worlds" would be really nice. ..rito pls?
