#Decency: Why I started muting everyone from the get-go

I don't think I have to tell any of you how abusive we as a community can be. Of course there are a lot of players out there that are completely decent and that are actually fun to play with. However, for as long as i can remember I have had to report at least one person each game. I fear that the system is so lenient that this will never change. Toxicity seems to be part of the game. The game is even notorious for its toxic community. I assume that most players are actually decent in person and that it is just the game that brings the absolute worst out of them. I've been playing for a year now and I've done my best to entice more decency in others. I've stood up for teammates being picked on and politely explained why someone's behavior was insulting to someone else etc. At this point I'm completely done with the lack of common decency in at least one of the players I'm playing with. Therefore I have decided to mute everyone from the get-go explaining this to others with the following sentence: > *"Hi all, because of the amount of flaming in this game I will mute everyone as soon as the game starts. Please use pings for communication. Good luck, have fun and remember it’s just a game. #decency"* If you are like me, I encourage you to do the same, it has made games a lot more fun again. You can of course change the message but I encourage you to put the *"#decency" * in there to make it a recognizable movement. If you don't want to mute teammates but would like more decency in this game you can of course also just type *"GL HF #decency"*. Wouldn't it be great if before a game all 5 players through this way agree to be decent to each other? If that would ever happen I would gladly stop muting everyone ^.^
