: I can't find a champion that I enjoy playing, let alone a main
I've played the game for 4 years now and never had a "main". I just periodically play some champions more than others. For example, in season 4 I played about 40 Jinx games, which got me some decent experience with her. In the past I can also recall maining Akali/Katarina/Vel'Koz in the mid lane, Jax/Trundle in top and also something in support. Also Graves ADC in season 5 lol. My point is that it's not essential to have a main. Just play whatever is fun for you at the moment. There's nothing bad with it, it's just not as reliable way of climbing tho.
: Aatrox is pretty op...
There are probably just way too many champs that do stuff that Aatrox does, only better. You lack damage? Riven. You lack initiation? Take Jarvan or Maokai. I mean, Aatrox is great and all, but he's in a weird spot where no one expects his damage but no one also doesn't want to play him due to his "suiciding" playstyle.
Inaphyt (EUW)
: Bro there's no other champ like vel'koz, let's just be real. Instead i will convince you to use a different item build to help you survive. Double dorans, frost queens claim, Protobelt, zhonya's/banshees void staff.
Well I am playing pretty safely and don't have problems with not being defensive. Just sometimes it's champs like zed/akali/fizz that start to crap on me since they're assassins and I'm just a mage. So I thought that maybe picking ahri or something into them would be good. But I'm not sure. Like, maining 1 champ is good, but 2 is even better right?

: Matchmaking in normals
Matchmaking in normal really sucks. Played my smurf today and as lvl 18 I went up against lvl 30 players who were obviously smurfing as well while I had a lvl 5 guy who just started playing the game on my team..

: guess for some people it's harder than others... i hit gold in my first 6 months of league, shortly after i hit platinum and im hoping for diamond this season
I also know a guy who was an ADC main in season 4. He started out and when he hit level 30, he got gold in no time. He also kept climbing and didn't fall. Whereas I tried to get out of bronze 5 the hole season :D In 2 years I got out of bronze and now just hope for getting gold in season 6. (Currently silver 2, 30 something lp)

: I finally did it.
Silver, especially Silver V is more hell than bronze actually. In bronze I people actually try to win, because they want to get to Silver. But once you actually are Silver V, people think they're gods, don't pay attention and are overall worse than bronze players. Not saying it would happen to you, but 75% of people in Silver V are like that.
: Typical ADC players. You do realise that this game pretty much always revolves around ADC and always has and will. ADC has, for the majority of the game's history, been the highest source of damage and ADCs typically have unparalleled DPS which makes them really strong no matter what. Unlike pretty much every other class archetype, they remain meta despite everything, and they typically get given by far the most resources of the team in order to try make them successful. Supports are basically made to keep their ADC alive in lane and in fights, because having an ADC that gets to pump out consistent DPS is generally a win condition in itself. So you may complain that you get violated by Assassins, or can't quite chew through tanks, and sometimes it might just be that the specific class is just too strong, but generally if you have your support to peel for you and you're not positioning badly, then you should be able to deal with pretty much anything. But as a role which murders everything if they just survive, you can't complain if things are actually challenging you and killing you so you don't just auto win.
Try to find a team that understand this in lower elo than plat. Even there people don't quite get it.
: Our team picked squishy non cc champions and the enemy ADC was an immobile AD caster who struggles against tanks but guess what, is AMAZING against squishies. That's pretty much like saying "i picked a tank, built full tank but the enemy Vayne still killed me". Yup. That's what she is SUPPOSED to do.
You were saying she needs a team to carry. Tell me, why didn't she need a team then? Why she 2v5'd our team just with her autoattacks? We didn't even get a chance to get close to her, because she killed us before we did.

Looked up the one that's mentioned in the comments below, but +5 ad on IE and ER doesn't change much. I get 5 ad from leveling up from 1-3.

: oh wow wtf how is that even remotely fair
Idk how, but riot thought it was fair.
: That's exactly the point i wanted to make. MF has a ridiculous AoE damage spell. However, nobody is stupid enough to stand in it. You need to combine this skill with an AoE lockdown mostly found on ultimate abilities of tank junglers and sometimes even supports. Also, while channeling the spell, any silence or other disruption cancels the spell completely. There is so much counterplay AND teamplay needed for proper execution of this combo that the damage it deals is actually kinda fair. MF is the carry. But. What else is needed for her to actually carry?
Our team picked squishy non cc champions. Azir got DELETED just from 2 autoattacks. That's like 1 kill with less than 2 seconds. I lost my hp just with her q and auto, and that q wasn't even a bounce, it was straight aimed at me. Swain was same as azir. Only with volibear she needed her support's "help".

: Yeah I can see why others might like it but I totally hate it tbh.. But I thought every team has the same amount of premades? or is that not true?
Nope, played a game where we had all solo players against a 4-man premade.
: I tend to play a lot of ADC and i also play a lot of support. Riot doesn't hate ADCs. Riot wants them to be teamplayers. Weak on their own. Super strong when protected. And...that's kinda how ADCs should be. Just take Kog or MF as an example. Have you heard recently their damage is off the charts? I bet you did. Because it's true. However, they are also immobile and completely reliant on their teammates. There is no way for a Kog to outplay a Zed. There shouldn't be. There is a possibility for Kog and Tahm Kench to outplay a Zed and that's totally fine.
Played against MF. Dominated me and my team with just the help from her support. 2v5 basically. "Teamplay".

: Seriously Riot, what do you have against ADCs?
I mained adc as well and I can relate to it. I played a lot of Graves and Vayne, now I just think I'd be better off going to jungle or top, just because I can't deal with ADC role. Already in early game I get fucked because of Volibear, Amumu and other CC heavy tanky champs being played in jungle. Then in the late I can't even do anything, cuz there comes that Fizz with his new tank build, Zed whose ult you can't escape, Rengar who just fcks you up in milliseconds or if that isn't enough, then there's also enemy adc who deals more damage to me than I deal to him. Balanced, right?
: Malzahar ultimate is not a CC, it`s a suppresion effect, it doesn`t count as a CC such as Warwick`s ultimate. The tutorial must be changed, i agree with that. It`s hard to balance over 130 champions. There will always be a unfair things. The items that we have now are pretty solid and good, also there are champions that can be played in a lot of different ways. (AP Irelia OP) Due to the high amount of reports the system needs a break sometimes. It helps to run smoothly and efficient. No comment about Dynamic Q because i don`t play ranked a lot. Oh, and you can`t put a splash art designer to "balance" a champion with high Ban Rate, right ?
You play adc? Buy {{item:3031}} into {{item:3087}} or {{item:3046}} You play tanky top? Buy {{item:3068}} into {{item:3065}} You play ad top? Buy {{item:3071}}, {{item:3748}} / {{item:3074}} or {{item:3142}} You play ap mid? Buy {{item:3165}} or {{item:3027}} I would not say that items are such different or smth. All the champions basically are the same, you buy same things. As and adc main, there was never no difference if I played Lucian, MF, Caitlyn, Twitch, Ashe, Draven, Varus or Tristana. Build was still the same. Only difference I made was with Kalista and Vayne. Mid lane is actually the same. Mainly there are ap mages who rush Morello or Rod of Ages. Top and jungle are actually the ones where you gotta think about the champions' kit, but not always.
: Bronze League
Every bronze player in a nutshell: "I'm stuck in bronze, but I deserve diamond+. Please someone carry me." Get your mindset fixed and start thinking what YOU could do better, instead of what your team could do better. If you do this little step, you'll be in silver and beyond in no time.
Illazuel (EUW)
: Its dynamic queue, you are likely solo queueing and you shouldn't do so until they remove this monstrosity from the game. The reason you lose is you are playing against people who know each other and are going to work together using their unfair numbers advantage over you. Seriously quit playing ranked until this is over, im a plat player and i cant climb out of silver with dynamic queue. call me a liar whatever don't care. truth is ranked is no longer about skill
Riot is like forcing us to find friends. What if I don't want friends?{{champion:32}}

: If you think that poor behavior / bm disappears in diamond, you are sadly mistaken. Probably one of the biggest toxic cesspools is high platinum according quite a few diamond youtubers.
That's mainly because of their ego being high. They are diamond (or almost) and they think they are gods because of that. Actually same thing appears to fit for platinum.
: Always try to improve yourself if you plan on climbing. You cant change your teammates, you can only improve your winrate by yourself. Dynamic queu is there for a reason, find some friends who you enjoy playing together (real life friends or people you met online). Not only it makes it slightly easier to work together with people but also makes the game that much more enjoyable. Since you are a support main try finding an adc main to group up with. (and maybe a jungler) I was plat V last season, I climbed rank with both solo and duo queu. This method worked for me pretty well. Also try playing every champion, so you can get a feel of them. Its much easier to outplay someone if you know how champion works. Also try maining champions. In my case I started to main champions that are good at multiple roles. Example : Volibear (he can go top, jungle, support) Also never forget this you can always improve. Many people think highly of themselves just because they reached Gold V or Plat V. Every tier V is the lowest skill floor on each level. Gold V might be better then most silver players or just got boosted and cant fall division. Every division has good players no matter their tier. Some players hate playing ranked and still have skill the challange people above their tier. Normal games area great way to improve your skill and much less frustrating, if you loose a game for whatever reason. Supports have it rough since you have to work together with someone else on lane. (in most cases enemy botlane is premade and that makes it even harder to do well as 2 random players vs premade). Decent solo players starts at Plat (also Gold 1). At least it was my experience from last year. (the only games where i felt, its not only up to me to carry, I got carried a lot there as a Gold I that time). Now that Dynamic queu got introduced with role selection. The skill level changed a lot, its much easier to climb ranked now. (less frustrating) Thats my experience from the past 3 seasons. Good luck mate you will be gold in no time . {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
At the same time, I've found it easier to climb since I got to Silver 5. I don't have to carry myself as well, because a lot of the times I get carried. Maybe it has to do something with my winrate, which seems pretty high to me (76-53). Idk, maybe it's just that I got used to bronze players and now silvers seem like whole next level to me :D
: My observation of Bronze/Silver/Low Gold level and mentality.
I'm being matched with low golds since I arrived to Silver :D First it was only 1-2 golds per game, and they were max Gold V, but now as I'm Silver II, they come more often and now it's up to Gold II's :P I could write a long story here as well. My first ranked season was 4, I got placed to Silver V with 4/6 provisionals. Damn, I thought that I'm a god. In a few months I found myself in Bronze V. Fun. Stopped playing on that account and took my "smurf", to level it up to 30. Within the summer I did it, and then I went back to my main account. I also played with one of my friends, who was supporting me while I was ADC. By the end of the season I got to Bronze IV, not that big of a change. But just with December I found myself in Bronze I. I was like "Wow, I think I'm getting better a bit". And then boom, my account got permaban because I was using the program MK Jogo. In season 5 I switched to my "freshly" lvl 30 account and got placed in Bronze III or IV. I didn't improve much from that. Kept getting to Bronze II and fell back to Bronze III. In autumn I finally started to take things seriously and got my way to Silver V. It was my happy day, Because I did something better than last season. And instead of playing 350 games, I got it in 250. Now in season 6, I started in Bronze IV again. But I got myself pretty fast to Bronze I, only failing promos one time. I didn't play there that much, there were weeks of not playing on this account, and then again I spend days on it. Currently with 59% winrate and ~130 games, I've climbed to Silver II and that already is an achievement for me just because I have done less games than last season, and I've got myself higher on rank ladder. In skill level I've seen a bit of a change. In bronze people just yell at their enemies AND teammates, just because they picked a champion and are doing good on it. Like I played against Bronze III Veigar yesterday, due to having a premade of high Bronze and low Silvers. I didn't stomp hard, before teamfights I only had 1-2 kills as Trundle. But I did have pretty decent cs. Teamfights started somewhere around 25 minutes or so. By that time I had more than 225 cs. Everyone were stunned how tanky I was (3,5k hp) and how much damage I did. Enemies called me a douchebag, just because I was playing Trundle. I mean it is a problem. A lot of bronze players can't cs properly and then they blame people who can. (What are you doing there top, come mid you useless s**t". <- that's like probably the thing I heard the most in my bronze games. But overall I've got nothing bad to say. I've usually muted them, although at the start of the season 5 and the whole season 4 I was flaming as hell. Now I've stopped this, I've seen how bad mistakes I make and I try to make myself better overtime, instead of trying to instantly make someone else better.

Thanks for your advice tho, even if it doesn't seem that much to you, it certainly draws a big impact on me :) Hey, I assume you play with TP on trundle right? If you hit 6, or close to level 6 try to push the lane up and see if you can make a teleport play botlane. Do warn your botlane, ask for a deep lane ward or check if the enemy bot has summoners up. But believe me, teleport plays are the easiest way to not only up your kill participation but also to in general have more impact on the game. If you manage to pull a good teleport play off bot you can get the turret and drake from it. It's a huge step in getting your team ahead.
I did it once, worked out somewhat, but enemy jungler cleaned us up. I'm kinda afraid to do that play, but I have had it on my mind. When I teleport to bot, enemy top lane could follow up as well, their jungler can be close to there, or they both can just push out top which would make me feel a bit nervous, because I lost a tower to that.

I don't see a whole lot of split push champs played in your history so there is no reason to have a low kill participation. Death Count is literally solved by understanding matchups better, knowing your champions limitations and in general focusing more on objectives instead of going for the 15 minute aram most people seem to enjoy

: Can Someone Explain The Appeal of Solo Q? [Im Confused]
For me personally, I find it hard to trust people. I've done only SOME duoqueues in the 3 years I've played. Mainly I've been frustrated how I can't trust them. I had like platinum smurf, who was like my friends friend. And a diamond who was that guy's friend. They both made me lose more than I would've won alone. That's why I'd like to have soloq back. But I'm not complaining tho, I can still improve and climb even better than before with this dynamicq. Sometimes it gets me frustrated to play against 3-man premade, yea, but in the end, I still end up winning because they usually don't know what they are doing.

: Find a couple of strong adc's, that you enjoy playing and get good with those. Practice adc's that are generally good and doesnt require too many mechanics, and someone who doesnt have big drawbacks (like Vayne, who has a poor laningphase and requires good mechanics). Lucian, MF and Ezreal are very strong atm.
I'd add Ashe into there. Relatively easy to play, has slows, good range, an ult that can change some fights and overall simple to win with. If you survive to the late game and your team peels for you at least a bit, then it's won.

: It's almost impossible to comment on someone's "mistakes" from just looking at statistics. On top of that, you hardly have any games played. So far you are on a winstreak and Trundle seems to be working out for you. I don't think you should be looking too much at your mistakes right now but just get some more games played Get a few more games in and see how high you can get, cause clearly silver 3 isn't your peak. The only thing that stands out is that your average death count is rather high and your kill participation is on the low side (35 %) Hope this helps
