: WTF Has This Game Become?
Man i think all of your points are solid! Let's hope season 9 is better. Thank you for representing all the devoted league community
: Ask yourself this, how bad do you want it? Do you want it as bad as you wanna breathe or do you just kinda want it? Would you rather sleep or would you rather play to get better? Many people don't get to make their dreams come true because they don't want it bad enough. If by any chance you're prepared to take risks, fail, fail again, fail to a point you just wanna cry (literally) yet keep going, then by all means, go for it. BUT, personally, I'm a man of plans. I like to have a back up plan for everything, kinda like the broke version of Batman when it comes to making decisions with big consequences. Before making any decisions, transfer to EUW. Get Challenger there. Get to top 10 players on the server at least once. THEN think about going pro. Would you be prepared to spend every free minute you have into improving? Or would you be just satisfied with streaming and making money out of it? While you're getting into top 10 Challenger, make sure you study in real life. Possibly even get a job (don't know how old you are) so you know what it's like to have one. It influences decisions big time. Whichever choice you make, always have a plan and make sure you're ready to accept the consequences of your decisions, whatever they are, because if you're not man enough to accept them, then I'd suggest you get to that point in life first. Also, ignore all the naysayers. All of them! Most of 'em are people who can't make their dreams come true and would rather make sure other people don't as well, instead of working towards them. P.S. Sorry for all the repeating words. I was never a good writer.
you were never a good writer but you are for sure an insipirator props to you. Also when i hit diamond im going to transfer to euw i already have the rp in P.S im only 16 and i sure as hell study i just play in my free time atm By far the best piece of advice i have ever got thanks a hella lot

: Finish your school. Finish an apprenticeship/university. Seek a "normal" career. Don't go pro unless you're challenger Top 10 in your free time and a team approaches you. It's the same nonsense as going "pro" in football. You're probably not the 1%.

: If it's your dream, I say go for it, but as Gpet mentioned, it might be better to do it as a side project rather than going all in. It's your life, and no one, no one, can live it for you. Do what you want to do. Being a pro, whether it is streaming/youtube or proplay/LCS, is hard though. Not just "getting there", but the fact that it no longer is just a game. You will HAVE to practice 6-8+ hours a day, like a job. As an LCS player, people trash you on reddit for every mistake you make. Or as a youtuber, you have to upload a video to youtube every day as scheduled etc. Point is, I also love league, and I make some youtube videoes now and then (dont really have views or treating it seriously, its just because I have fun doing it). Had it been my job, I would be forced to produce content even if I didn't feel like it. So like, I can love the game now, and I also dream from time to time about being on LCS stage, being famous youtuber etc. But with that pressure, it might not be "fun" anymore. But still, if you are prepared for the hardships, and you want this, go for it. Even Bjergsen was just "someone" who decided to go for it at a point :)
Thanks for the advice link me your youtube btw so i can check it out :)

: I feel like such 'unsecure' paths should simply be treated as hobby, until one actually gets into them. Follow whatever normal career you'd go for, and simply keep trying in League at the side. If you actually hit a point where you could step into a procareer (with an actual vision of how you live of it) is the only time when you should consider dropping your 'normal' path. ^^
Appreciate it a lot :)

: [WARNING : Personnal opinion alarm] A great friend of mine told me the same thing a few days ago, I answered him something like that (in french) : I don't think that's worth the risk, you should continue studiying, being dependent of a video game isn't a great thing, you have nothing to protect you, the game could just shut down in a single day, or poeple will get bored of it, what would you do then ? You'll be 25, jobless, and won't have any degree And there's more, from the total amount of players, something like 1% of them want to become streamers/pro players, and out of this 1%, somthing like 1% of them live of off that, what would make YOU special ? You should just keep on what you're doing (These numbers could be totally wrong) TL:DR League is a game, unless you have something different from everyone else to offer, don't try to become a pro play/streamer <personnal opinion/>

: There are only 2 rules I'd follow: 1. Choose an easy champion when you're just starting out. Learning about the game (csing, makro, lane manipulation, etc.) is your highest priority. 2. Play whatever you like or what seems enjoyable to you. You can climb with literally anything - as long as you know what you're doing. Even if it's not a "meta-pick", as long as you like it you'll be improving.
Thank you :)
: Hey, that is true that people mostly suggest to be a one-trick in order to climb, but that is true up to a point, for the champion one-trick part. * As for the 1 lane only, yes that is a very good thing which you can do up to challenger since you learn all those tiny details that make the difference in a lane * About being a one-trick is kinda fishy because in some situations you might want to coordinate better with your team or to counter the enemy team. I can tell you as support main I main 4 supports, mostly one for every case tanking, utlity, team comp and countering.
Thank you dude :D
: Yeah I think maining a couple of champions per role is the best way to climb, just try to find ones that suit your playstyle and you enjoy playing so you can play them for a ton of games without getting bored {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}
Thanks a lot :D
