: u dont find a 14_1 zed in every ge, its just a minor situation and not representative of the silver rank.
It was an example as i stated in one of my other comments its easier to say 14/1 zed than saying an enemy player that is more fed than he should be.

This jump in difficulty is not something that should happen, in silver you should need to learn how to play with waves and map awareness while in reality you have to learn to do something usually higher elo's learn. Wait, shouldn't you learn (some of) those things in the games _before_ hitting ranked? ;-| But based on the SaltyTeemo iron 4 spectate streams I gues you are kind of right. It has/had an end-of-game count of how many out of 10 players actually bought boots (boots don't provide damage! ;) ) and nearly every ADC in those games seemed to think they were a melee duelist... (though not sure those players were still learning or just set in their ways forever...)
Yeah learning the game before hitting ranked is important but there is just things you wont learn in normal while you do in ranked since its a more serious game mode. Anyhow i had a friend that hit silver while buying boots first item in jg im not sure how he did it but i doubt he will climb any higher than that.
: you rarely see a 14-1 zed. And if he is 14-1 you probably participted in the situations that brought him to this score. ¿Why do you have to learn to play vs "14-1 zeds"? Because thats how you climb. In any strategic competition or sport, there will be different type of adversaries and obstacles to win depending on the rank you are playing. In this case one of these obstacles is a "14-1 zed" Also, if a player can get 14-1 and you can't, it means he is good and deserves win, while you deserv to stay in your rank.

So why should a player that hasn't learned the game completely and far from mastering it have to learn to beat that fed zed?

You don't seem to have even read any part of my original post but it is all right as a normal league player can read only up to 20 words or less. Anyhow as you say, you do have to learn how to play against 14-1 zeds (just an example) but WHY though. In iron you learn basics of movement and casting abilities. In bronze you learn to play with your team instead of playing solo and to not be greedy, and then in silver you have to learn to 1v9???? This jump in difficulty is not something that should happen, in silver you should need to learn how to play with waves and map awareness while in reality you have to learn to do something usually higher elo's learn. What I mean is silver is too low an elo to learn how to 1v9 carry, but you have to if you want to climb due to afks, no ganks, inters, trolls, people just having a bad day.
: as someone who was playing in gold\silver for the majority of my time in league (jjust recently hit p2 on my alt and p4 on my main) i can tell you this is not really true. its hard to pinpoint where exactly i got better, but every time i did improve i could instantly see it in game. suddenly even the 14\1 zeds arent so threatening because you know how to stop them, and even the best gold has to offer seem pretty bad for you. as a silver\gold player you will stomp every bronze game no matter the circumstances because you are simply better than them. to you they almost look like moving bots, and thats exactly how higher elo players see you. the more you climb the more you realize people dont actually get better at the game, they just make less mistakes.
I understand what you say, and I'm not saying its not true what im saying is how it feels to play before you gain the skill needed to proceed also what you said is true but WHY does a silver player have to learn to counter a 14/1 zed. Its not something you will see often in high elo but you will see it almost every game in low elo. Its not a skill needed to play league so why does a simple silver need to learn to play 1v9 to get out of the 3rd worst rank. Once i understand how to counter fed champions i will probably feel same as you but will still remember how it was climbing out.
: How many of your teammates used AD characters? How many AP? How many of you were playing squishy characters? Did anyone have stuns, roots, knock ups or any other crowd control?
I know what you mean and I quite literally cant control what they do. My team will pick what they want no matter what I suggest or say but thats with everything they do. I usually just pick whats most suitable for the team if ap I'd go ryze or xerath and if ad needed zed and talon. It still wont matter since the team wont change their champions and the fact they dont speak English most of the time
: Yup. That's why I do my best to play like a teammate. I try to avoid just straight up blaming people. I'm man enough to ask for help when I need it. It's just sad to see people just trying to be the "MVP" the one who got most kills, the least amount of deaths and be the one who was the reason the TEAM won. At the end of the day, it's a team game and most people just don't remember that. Kills and deaths are just background noise that you just gotta ignore if you want to win. You'll increase your chances of winning by working together and trying to be a teamplayer. Also... Annoying to see people who act like they're the best players cause they play every ranked game with a premade team.
I main talon and as yamikaze said for talon its best to feed your team instead of yourself. But im finding this hard as most of the time its really a dice throw if I should even feed my team, still i keep on doing it and losing i think im on a 6 loss streak at the moment and its just infuriating because quite literally 3 hours ago i was playing in silver 2.
: I have 2 stories for ya. 1 time I got into silver, managed to stay around the middle area of silver 4. But then really bad luck kicked in and I got 20 defeats in a row... 20 defeats, stopped by few victories that honestly felt like weren't worth cause of toxic players, only to then get another 15 defeat streak. I started to cry cause in 1 week, all my progress to getting silver was instantly taken from me all cause of bad luck.... This bad luck included, junglers who never ganked, never ganked my lane specifically, mid laners who never informed their opponents were missing, mid laners who just aimed for kills, botlane just being botlane and most of these teams always pinned their blames on me. Of course I did defend myself by pointing out the real problems but you know how toxic players are.... So I went and played dota for awhile. The second story is more of a positive thing. The team had 3 toxic players. I was playing top and the non toxic player was support. Basically long story short, jungler never helped lanes that needed help, mid and adc just pin all blame on support and top. It was a hard fought game but we won in the end and let me tell you. That victory was not worth it... But the thing is, me and this support won that match. Despite the 3 toxic stooges, we did our parts and then some and we managed to win the game. All the while toxic players just spew toxic stuff and call us idiots for having the items we had. I had a zz'rot portal in my kit but I don't remember what the support had. After the match, me and support get the basic speal from the toxic trio that they will report us. Well we also reported them. Just as I finish making my report, the trio had already left, the support asked me, "How are you in bronze?" I gave him the answer that I just didn't play much ranked games cause I kinda hated ranked. The support then tells me one of the craziest things I've ever heard. "You played like a Gold, or atleast Diamond 4 player" That was the first time someone from an higher elo told me that my play style resembled something from a higher elo. They even pointed out that in this match I was held back by the toxic trio. I know I don't have proof and just relying on memory. So believe it if you want or just ignore it. Your call.
I completely understand what you're saying. I have the same experience in ranked and only a few times have I got a non toxic teammate/s which actually played well. Its just to the point where I don't want to get angry because people play bad. Its their fault not mine so no need to rage. I had a mentality where I blamed my self for most loses. A mentality that went "Its my fault because I couldn't 1v9" and it came to me that this is wrong. Why should someone have to do all the work for a victory that goes to all the team, its not fair and its incredibly hard to advance in silver. My victories were usually me getting lucky and actually carrying or getting a normal teammate that helped me win. I just believe that its not the fault of the player that cant carry himself out of silver. Its NOT HIS JOB to do that, and it should never be. 1v9 is something that pro players can do to quickly get out of low elo but not something that should be NEEDED to get out.
