The cost of the item also went down, so champions only buy it in situational cases. Champions with DoT abilities will benefict from this the most (the lower cost that is) {{champion:27}} {{champion:136}} {{champion:63}} {{champion:69}} {{champion:90}} and the Lord himself {{champion:17}} (I doubt that though ^_^)
i think {{champion:268}} is situational just like {{item:3116}} I mean {{champion:110}} Mid has 3,5 % more win rate than the once king of mid lane {{champion:268}}

: i know he is a combat mage not an assassin but actually experiencing him AA the Hell out of somebody with {{item:3165}} and {{item:3135}} and actually don't even get him at half Healh is just disappointing i mean 1 Q and 4 auto attacks to {{champion:43}} and she just dont give a damn about it she just Q me and i go to 40 % Health running for my life from their support
{{champion:43}} to be fair she had {{item:3190}} but still i have 35 % magic penetration so...

Azir is not a "burst mage"; he's a "combat mage". Just like Cassiopeia, you don't "burst" people down with 1 skill (like Veigar). The whole point of playing Azir is kiting and doing damage over an extend period of time. That's why you build {{item:3116}} ; to help you kite. But Azir is indeed underpowered atm (or at least not OP), because he got hit by a lot of nerfs in the past. He's still a decent champion though.

: Maybe because you built him wrong? It's true that Azir is not strong atm, but your build isn't good either. I mean, I can understand the {{item:3165}} but {{item:3006}} doesn't make any sense. If all you want is attack speed on an AP MAGE, then you build a {{item:3115}} Plus, the order in which you bought the items if way off too. You were sitting with a {{item:1058}} for a long time. *** The correct build order should be: {{item:1056}} > {{item:3108}} OR {{item:1058}} > {{item:1001}} > Finish {{item:3115}} OR {{item:3116}} (whichever you started first) > {{item:3020}} > {{item:3116}} OR {{item:3115}} (whichever is left) At his point it shoud look like this: {{item:1056}} {{item:3115}} {{item:3020}} {{item:3116}} From that point on you add whatever you need. Usually you go like this: {{item:3135}} if they are stacking MR {{item:3157}} if they are a lot of AD Damage {{item:3089}} if you are fed {{item:3140}} if for some odd reason they have a lot of CC ... Regardless, you can't go wrong with both {{item:3089}} and {{item:3135}} , so pick your poison.
Also {{item:3027}} and {{item:3116}} both core items at one point to {{champion:268}} got both NERFED AS F

i ve picked {{item:3089}} and {{item:3135}} still no damage execpt the enemy is retarted and he stays still for about 10 seconds so i can AA him and none of his teammates do anything then yes {{champion:268}} with those items is a good {{champion:268}}

: Very unrewarding and underwhelming currently, even the slight buffs have done nothing for him. Faced one a few weeks ago and he was a breeze to lane against, almost no threat and resulted in trying to farm passively so he is in a really rough place atm borderline unusable effectively.
The Buff you mention was to his soldiers cooldown you can have 3 soldiers on the field more easily now but none of them actually deals any kind of damage i mean i now play {{champion:50}} and believe me i deal more damage than {{champion:268}} being tanky at the same time having the whole team beating me and i still deal a good amount of damage with ease
Enjutsu (EUNE)
: This is a really weird thread. Azir like that was for a pretty long time. Last patch he actually got a small buff. And that build is a bit weird for Azir.
I ve tried everything else i know his mechanics and i wanted to try AP early game due to all the nerfs to his soldiers like trying to cancel them with good laning face and and an early assist

because of {{item:1058}} i farmed hard and kept Talon away. {{champion:268}} Needs some Ap quickly in game so i tried this {{item:1058}} early game as last resort think of it as an experiment giving him AP early and then trying to go for the actual build
Eveninn (EUW)
: You should try {{item:3115}}
of course ive tried this iteme in many of my builds if the game goes well i buy it i stopped buying it early because of {{item:3006}}
