: any warm up tips for not tilting :D?
Stop playing to climb and start playing to improve. I barely ever tilt and that's the mindset that helped me with such.
: Great advice! Thank you! I definitely understand that I've been part of the problem this past week. Personal circumstances and such have been weighing on my mind. That's why I'm going to take the rest of the week off and come back with a fresh outlook. I started playing ranked with the mentality you just described but the more I won the more it became about winning. Last night my girlfriend actually brought up how badly the game has been affecting my mood in the evenings. That's not something I'm prepared to allow. So yeah, time for a break. When I return it'll be to learn and to improve, and we'll see where that takes me. Cheers!
Best of luck to you, you seem to have much potential mind-wise. Having a great attitude towards playing will take you to great places. Enjoy.

: Hey, I was placed in Silver 4 this start of the season... I think. I'm now in Diamond 4. I didn't focus on "climbing", I don't care about such. I care about improving and having fun. I failed a lot of promotions to Gold this season which is unusual, like 8 times, but it DID NOT tilt me. Because I worked on it, so now I never tilt. How? Well, start by focusing on improving and not "climbing". You say your life has a lot of ups and downs, and that will impact your play for sure. First, get control of your mechanics and in-game decisions. Then, work with your mentality. The 'blame game' doesn't benefit you at all. Something I read that was really nice was that "You blame someone trying to protect your ego by wanting to APPEAR as if you're working on a solution, instead of actually working on a solution". Working with not tilting after a game will help you a lot. I removed my tilt completely and it gives so much more room for improvement. And speaking of which, don't focus on tiers. Focus on skill and improvement. YOUR own. Because you can't control your teammates or enemy, but you can improve yourself. Don't see games for losses or wins, because improvement matters. If you improve 3 things during a loss, and 1 during a win for example, why do you get more happy for winning? You clearly learned more in that game you lost (just making up numbers here). Any questions, ask.
Also, working on teamplay and grouping up will negate enemy snowballing. They win by pushing (grouping up), not killing. As goes with your team, grouping up early will make your team snowball, and it'll also repair the early damage done (first blood for example). You might say Silver is tough, but playing with Diamond 1/Master/Challenger, they truly know how to abuse an advantage. So this tip will work for anyone, pretty much. Grouping up smart (not aram in mid for 10 minutes) will make games more fair, if not snowball-ish in your favor.
: Silver is tough as nails.

: Hey my dear friend, As you said, I was roleplaying as Shaco, he is my favorite personnage of my favorite game, I just imagined what shaco would have said if he was with an inrtng team. Oh and by the way, I think you should really work on your emotional control if you manage to get hurt by words and sentences in a video game >:-D Have a good night my friend, I hope we will see on the Rift ! :D
I don't agree with what you said in the lobby, but I do agree with that this guy should work on his emotional control. It's never okay to trashtalk anyone, not even if they did act psycho or not.
: Buff or Rework Ohmwrecker?
: Dear players that prefer taking baron/elder drake over 3 inhibs while the enemy is dead
In theory, getting 3 inhibitors will force enemy to defend base the next minutes, leaving a free Baron in 2 minutes. If they try to contest, you get 2 of their Nexus turrets. But as goes with all decisions, if your team really wants to do something and refuse to listen to you, just go with them. Strength in numbers.

: Xerath mains called scripters
I used to have this technique I called "curving", but it was with Yasuo. It was basically positioning my tornadoes (Q) in a way that they'd always hit the enemy. (This way it looked like the Q was going in a curve, because I throw it in one direction but manage to angle it into this curve-kind of thing). I would get called a scripter A LOT. There was like 2 dudes who got mad and challenged me to 1v1 after, so I accepted. They called me scripter again. It's one thing being called a scripter on a skill shot champion, but Yasuo.... I took it as a big compliment. Though I was afraid I'd get too many reports and Riot would get suspicious. >_>

: Matchmaking
Hey, Diamond and Gold can't queue up. (EDIT: I saw now that you said he was Diamond last season, and Plat this, making it possible for them to duo) A Platinum and Diamond can go duo though, matchmaking will already give them lower skilled team mates compared to the enemy team on an average, because it expects them to carry. Also, just because someone was something last season doesn't mean he will be there this season as well. It's harder to get tiers this season, so wherever everyone is right now is where they belong. UNLESS they got 99 games or less played. See it as a way to learn from the Diamond player. The difference between the tiers is grouping, what are they succeeding at to make you lose? Copy their strats and you can get better. I played versus a Challenger being Diamond 4, I didn't see it as a bad thing, rather a good thing. Here I'm versus the 16th best guy on the server so he'll definitely have some tricks up his sleeve that I can learn. I respected him though, as he's of greater skill than I am. Played passive at first till I felt more confident and stepped up my game like crazy because this guy made me push myself into playing the very best I can. We won.

: Sandbox
Well... It's available on PBE right now so shouldn't take too long. For some reason I think they said february-march release? No idea though. I think it's solo only, al though Riot will add features to Sandbox by time, so if enough people request "premade Sandbox" or whatever you want to call it, it will probably happen!
Sykkuno (EUW)
: Alright, that's a good point that it can increase your chances of winning. The next thing is, what if you really want to improve in the game, but your friend doesn't put in the work. When do you know when to stop duoing wiyth them?
When you are questioning your DuoQ, that's when you should stop. Not all DuoQs fit together, you just gotta find that someone. Or go solo, it's up to preference.
Sykkuno (EUW)
: Why do you duo in rankeds?
Hi, I've been duoQ for 2-3 years now with my best friend (met through LoL). Our playstyles to go ham and enjoying the fun in outplays make the games much more exciting than if I'd have to go solo and play with perhaps 4 teammates that rather like to go down the passive road. Also, we have tons of fun together and are both very positive, and in a game that is currently very stressed about anxiety in Ranked, this helped us undermine it 100%. None of us tilt anymore, so playing with someone that doesn't tilt will boost the team morale by huge numbers. We both are very determined to improve, so playing with each other and giving feedback helps see mistakes that you might not have seen if you were to play solo. Also, I think games can be enjoyed the most through playing with your best friend. The reason I go Ranked ONLY and not Normals is because I don't see ranked as this "Gotta climb or I get huge anxiety"-thing, rather that it's just like a Normal game but with elo to put you in the tier you belong, so that you can play with and versus equally skilled so that you can all improve at a good pace in encouraging enviroment.
: The lethality changes didn't quite hit adcs. There are only a handful of adcs who actually use lethality at all. Looking at the game state right now, it actually made things even worse. Now you see tons of bruisers one shotting you from miles away and you can't even react to it. Pretty ironic what Riot did there. I'm seeing 3 assassins in the enemy team. How am I supposed to itemize? I can't go defensive items before I get my core, otherwise I would be useless. And even if I built defensive items, they would still penetrate it and instantly kill me.
Hey, I'm not an ADC player nor do I like to discuss balance changes. I only stated what Riot did (boosting Lethality hoping to power-up marksmen) and from what I see in my games. I think if you want to talk about what lethality actually did there's a better place to do such, you won't get great responses from me about balance changes. :P
: I'd say the dodging bots have the issue of that every player responds different to a situation, for hitting hooks consistently you'd need to get used to the player in an actual game, you need to learn what he does and I don't think practicing on bots would help a lot with this.
Good point. I still think it can help you get the basics down though, for example a Zed player will want to practise his ulting and then skillshotting after, so a dodging bot could help him with that since his R has a long cooldown and it would just get reset. Instead in a real game he might die or never actually get to practise the very basics of his R.
GG HuanLee (EUNE)
: We need you to buff adc's
Riot already said they are working on giving ADC's a boost back into the game, and they already started getting more powerful with the 7.2 Lethality changes + small buffs here and there for some marksmen + items getting buffed that marksmen use. They don't want to do anything drastic though (if I understood their post right), so they buff them a little if they think they need it during each patch so that nothing gets too crazy. (Once again, this is how I understood it)
Infernape (EUW)
: I'm guessing Riot want to ship the practice tool with the bare minimum (enough to make it work) then add additional features on top of it as time goes on. You never know, this may be a thing.
Yeah, I totally respect that and I like it that they give it to us early. I just wanted to put this out there so Riot might get some ideas of what to add later on! ^_^

: Its possible to change region for free???
In 2011 or 2012, you got a free transfer between EUNE and EUW because of the new servers that were made. Now there are no free transfers anymore, but you can always create a new account on EUW, or support Riot games by giving them some money for your transfer.
: Everytime when i play ranked...
Hi, roaming and grouping up will prevent snowballing vs your team, and increase the amount of snowballing your own team does. A "decent" call made together as a team beats a great individual call. Strength in numbers.
: Music playlist for Taric players
I took a 8 months break from League of Legends, and when I came back the first champion I played was Taric. I went to Youtube, put on the song "It's okay to be gay" on a repeat and played a Ranked. It was hilarious.
: Riot, please read this.
I disagree. The way to improve is to learn from your mistakes, so how can you get better if you aren't allowed to make mistakes?

: Give me your best advice to improve
Hi, for me my mentality was the biggest thing holding me back from my true potential. Still is. I have worked on never going on tilt, and I'm now working with never blaming anyone. They are really hard to get over, but I'm really getting the hang of not blaming anyone, and this helps win games really much. I guess you may want to get the basics down, csing and stuff like that, but in the end your mentality matters A LOT. But mentality is way harder to learn than any mechanics, imo. As goes with any sport, your mentality opens up your areas of improvements. If you just bash yourself/your teammates, you neglect the room to improve. :) Any questions, just ask.

Didn't get mine either, so I mailed the support and now I got it. It's pretty warm and cuddly ^_^
: I dont get keys about a weekk... and i win a lot of games ... why ????
Hehe, Riot doesn't restrict you from getting key fragments because you're in a certain elo, so don't worry! :D This happened to me too, turns out you can only get 9 (?) fragments a month, so after that you won't recieve any until this 30 day period has refreshed. Which means if you recieved your final key on 2nd January, you'll get the next bunch starting from 2nd February... I'm pretty sure!

: Where to place wards
You want your wards to detect the enemy. So if put them where you think they'll want to be in the next one minute (if you have a yellow trinket ward) or three minutes (sightstone). A ward that doesn't reveal the enemy isn't useful. If you get ganked and your ward didn't help you out, think of why it didn't and put it in the spot where the jungler came from. Step two is to gain as much vision as possible. Wards can't show vision past walls for example, so you'll want to put it in the center of everything to reveal as much as possible.
: Tips to climb on smurf
If you want to improve, play on your main account. You won't improve by stomping lower skilled players. If you think stomping to gain huge LP will help you climb easier, it really won't. Elo isn't about LP, it's about skill. Even if you got +100 LP for every match, you couldn't make it to high tiers, because you need skill to actually go there. Best tip I have for you to improve is to work on your mentality. Most people think high elo is about mechanics and stuff, but you need your mind available first in order to achieve those. Work with topics such as blaming, tilting, flaming, giving up. They will help you open up areas of improvement in all other skills. First your mind has to be ready. Any questions feel free to ask.

What's this network priority thing you're speaking of? It might help my friend fix his MS if it helped you. When I search for it in Windows nothing shows up, so I assume it's called differently? Regards
: an offtank katarina usually isn't doing enough damage to kill someone without casting R (this is obviously not true if she is fed as f*ck), if you CC her before casting R she can cast it after the CC. CCing her before she can jump is also possible (at least if your teammates actually use the time to back away from the dagger or kill her) Though an full ap katarina deals enough damage without her R to kill squishy targets. In that case it is better to CC and kill her or run. On the other hand, I am only gold so I can't garentee (see what I did there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° ) ?) that these are the best options you have. kind regards, ScriptarinaFX
I don't care so much about your tier, I just want to suck up all advice possible. Thanks for the tips. ^_^

: {{champion:3}}
I played Galio once this season, got stuck in between 3 minions standing like an illuminati triangle around me for** 5 seconds**. I never was the same ever since.
: If she Qs walk towards her, thus she can't hit you with her passive. Try to predict when she jumps and hit her hard. Tanks should protect the Squishy so she won't get the reset. She is ap. There are way too much items against ap champions. Full ap Katarina: CC her as soon as possible. Will die very quickly. Off tank Katarina: Most of the damage comes from her ultimate, wait with the CC. These are just a few basic options on how to deal with her.
Do you think I should rather focus my CC on preventing her from hitting Q/E rather than doing an ult?
C9 LynX (EUNE)
: oh also, dont let her roam, keep it warded all the time, tell your teammates to buy a pink, and as support u can afford to roam mid and help midlaner with her, shutting her down early will give you some time, and win a few teamfights because she is utterly useless when she is behind.
Hey, I'm currently in Diamond 4. As you see in LCK, Faker is spamming Katarina, so it means that even those pro teams can't handle Katarina. ^^ Thresh is a good suggestion, I was thinking of Lulu as a hard Katarina counter, but I'll check Thresh out as well next time.

I agree with this, I think it'd be nice as a feature, it takes skill to block a lot of spells with only one shield. Though, the tooltip gotta be changed

You waste people's time when you AFK in a game, so it seems fair to me that you now have to waste your own time waiting for new games.
: Small botlane montage from my friend and I (criticism appreciated)
* I don't fancy the high saturation-boost in the videos, because the colors just blend together and it makes it difficult to pay attention to the actual plays. * In between different clips, you can add an effect to make it more clear that we're switching to another "video" now, because it gets confusing if there's 2 different clips with the same champions. * I like the music you picked, it's fast paced and fits gaming montages. * You'll want to make it a shorter video to attract more people, I think the ideal is 3-5 minutes, you could check out the length of the pros video clips, and make yours slightly shorter than those. Keep it up!

You may have to live closer to the server. EUNE is in Germany, and EUW in Netherlands...I think, it might be the other way around. So depending on where you live you might want to switch.
Infernape (EUW)
: Chances are you hit your limit. You're limited to 12 fragments every 30 days and your drop rate resets roughly 30 days after you earned your first fragment (not every calendar month as some people think). Just keep playing (and winning) and you'll eventually start earning fragments again.
