: The main problem with honoring enemy was that it was being abused in a way not as "you were great to play against! I like you!" but was for "you were easy kill easy gold! Thanks for helping us win the game!" Which is dishonorable really, hence why Riot removed it. I miss honoring opponents when i happen to encounter a few cool peeps. But in this season, it's become quite rare really.
I completely agree. With all toxicity in community it would surely be abused in that sense, but than maybe it could be used as an honor booster or multiplier of some kind. I've had an idea. If current honor system works something like this **Play good->get honors from teammates->get closer to honor 5** What if honorable opponent worked like this So lets say honorable opponent is worth half of regular honor and you could honor just 1 opponent **Number of honors you get from teammates+0,5*Number of honorable opponent honors you get=total game honor** For example if you were the carry on your team you would get _2-4 honors_ and if honorable opponent worked like this and you got lets say 2 honors you would get _3-5 honors_ and even if you somehow got 5 which is almost impossible in current community it would be 2,5 honor bonus (which considering the time it took me to get to honor 5 with avarage of 1-2 honors per game i don't think it would make much impact) Of course it is up to Riot to find a way to bring back and if the decide to bring back honorable opponent. The point i wanted to make here is that there is a way to promote nontoxic and sportsmanlike behaviour within community without causing massive abuse of it. {{sticker:sg-ahri-2}}
