they should get more volunteers to spectate games and check the chat to get a better community,
for example like overwatch in CS:GO.
millions of games played daily, how many volunteers would you recruit to monitor games. couple? 20? 100?
even for thousand volunteers that would be thousands of games daily.

Also this even't isn't even a raffle. You enter the digits and get a chance to complete the puzzel as fast as possible. The fastest person everyday gets the skin. It beats the point of actually buying a can everyday to participate legitimately. Because I know from myself that I will never be faster than a crossword fanatic. So I wont even bother turning in everyday, even though I buy Pringles everyday. It's sad, they would've sold more if it was an actual raffle. Now it's going to be a fake advertisement, people will fill in and realize its not a raffle and read the FAQ and get scammed by misleading marketing xd
Might be because of "no obligation to buy" laws in some european countries.
At least here in finland, if you want to enter some contest that let's say picks winner from people who bought a Snickers bar you'll be able to enter that contest without actually buying a Snickers because of No Obligation to Buy law. That law basically forbids marketing/advertising lucky draws if only people who are forced to buy the product can enter.
I bet this is Pringles' method of bypassing that law since everyone can enter.

I like TFT because to play it well constantly you really have to brainstorm.
luck is a big factor in this game but to succeed on a long run you have to know the game, that's why i'm waiting for ranked system to see how far i can go. And then we can see the skill difference on players.

My point is that if you want to have a higher win rate in low elo don't pick hard champs to play, is there anything wrong with that? But I understood your point and I think your right but be real I was playing in Silver in those games

There's nothing wrong in having your opinion about that situation. But lashing out on other ezreals players solely because you've had bad experience with the others and you have some pseudo statistics to back up your flame, that's next level idiotic. In no way fair to these other ezreal players who are in no way tied to the worldwide score or your previous games.

This makes things even more complicated about what's punishable. Thanx for info.
What about bard, he's 'supposed to be supporting @ bot lane' according to client indicators, yet the game clearly encourages him to move around the map all over the place, leaving the adc alone if played badly. If that's bannable, then i have no words.

No I was talking about: https://champion.gg/champion/Ezreal/ADC
Not about my personal win rate. But now that I looked it up Xeraths win rate dropped as support my bad.
No i mean that your ban wasn't based solely on these three games. your ban was coming, because you've flamed alot and got reported before, these three games just triggered the ban.
And about the win rates, i know what you were talking about. You were talking about worldwide winrates , what the %%%% do those matter? If a player is good with their champion (i don't know and it doesn't matter if this was the case), they can have their win ratio way above those worldwide win ratio.
You just think that if Ezreal has let's say 48% win ratio worldwide , you think that YOU have 48% win chance. That's some good fallacy right there. And to think that you believe it justifies your flame is even more unreal.

>too bad riot is childish with these things, "it's your fault it's your account you're responsible for it"
I mean, it's the same concept if your house get's broken into for not using locks, or sharing access with someone else etc.
If something goes missing, it's not your fault, exactly, but you are responsible for the actions that go to that point.

Accounts can only really be stolen through sharing, entering your details on phishing websites, or having a password that is easy to guess/similar to other log ins you may have, that may have also been compromised.
So yeah, all the ways they can be stolen are ways that are the players responsibility to prevent.
otherwise "I was hacked" would be the go to defence for everything.
it's not the same concept. we're talking about immaterial things vs. real life things. sure you can compare it like that but it's not even remotely like that. don't make a strawman here.
I have insurance to cover that wrongdoing by someone i don't even know, if i'm on a holiday for 5 days and i come back seeing something's taken or broken, insurance covers that.
But here nothing covers it. If a madass hacker decides to target and troll someone's account and succeeds while the owner is gone, the punishment for the account is whatever the hacker did: used 3rd party programs or whatever.
And no insurance back's up that. Because the policy is purely and simply naive and childish it's your fault , thus the account is gone.
If you want to compare it to reallife stuff like that, i can compare it too: If thief steals my car and goes and drives in the middle of a crowd and kills 20 people, is that even remotely my fault? no it's not.
Talking about making strawmans.
What i'm trying to say, there's no way for a player to defend themselves when their immaterial stuff is taken away from them. Sure, riot owns all the accounts blahblah and they can do whatever they want wit hthem, but then again it boils down to : how %%%%ing childish and naive customer service does riot have.
edit: and how fakin primitivee is the system if riot, a multimillion company, can't fix whatever a hacker did, that the owner himself presented them. Instead they take the shortcut "your fault, banned"

Every draw obviously has a 1/10 000 chance for the winning ticket.
Therefore every draw has a 9 999/10 000 chance of drawing a nonwinning ticket. (We will calculate in chance of 'nonwinning tickets' as it allows us to add probabilities more easily.)
For independent events (like these) occurring together the rule of calculating probability is to multiply their individual probabilities.
Drawing twice has a chance of 99.99% * 99.99% =99.980001%
etc
Fast forward we are looking for 99.99% ^ X = 50% (50% chance of drawing a nonwinning ticket = 50% chance of winning ticket)
And 99.99% ^ X = 1% (1% of none winning = 99% chance of winning)
So either we can plug in random numbers for X till we find satisfying results,

or we wanna maths it further:
To solve 99.99% ^ X = 50% we'll have to transform it to:
Log base 0.9999 of (0.5) = X (I don't know to use all of the fancy symbols, so bear with me. x3)
Log base 0.9999 of (0.5) = 6931.125~
**So with 6932 draws you have a more than 50% chance to draw the wining ticket.**
And for
Log base 0.9999 of (0.01) = 46049,399~
**So with 46050 draws you have more than 99% chance to draw the winning ticket.**
For control
99.99% ^ 6932 = 49.99~% (for a nonwinning ticket)
99.99% ^ 46050 = 0.99~% (for a nonwinning ticket)

Hope that helped, sadly I'm quite bad with maths symbols for text stuffs.
If clarification is needed for certain parts feel free to ask. :3
Edit: now just saw you already got it... welp, I still had fun. x3)
Thanks, that was the confirmation i needed =) same results from my friend

I'll believe you. But that number is very very "on paper". If you actually did it and tested it, you will find that the chance will always be 1/10000 of a winning ticket. You will always have a 0.0001% chance of winning. It will never increase nor decrease. On paper, your friend may be right and that may be the closest thing to an expected value as you can get, but in practise you will find that there is no such thing as an expected value as it's completely RNG, it's always that 1/10000 chance.
Every indifidual try of course is a chance of 1 out of 10 000.
Let's put it this way: You flip a coin and you want to get Tails. Every individual flip has 50% chance of giving Tails.
In 2 flips you have 75% chance of getting one Tails. In three flips you have 87,5% chance of getting one Tails. In four flips you have 93,75% chance of getting one Tails.
In 10 flips you have 99,99% chance of getting one Tails.
The original question was with a flip chance of 1 in 10 000. And how many flips you need to achieve that 50% winning chance. And with how many flips the chance goes up to 99%.

Shamose

:
That's BS though. Chance doesn't work like that.
You can pull an infinite amount of time and still not get the winning one.
If that solution works then just write down one repetition.
Since you either pull a winning one or you don't so the chance is 50%.
This is as much bs as the solution your friend came up with.

So you're telling me that if me and you had a competition which one of us would draw the winning ticket first.
You draw only one
and i draw 5.
i don't have better chance of winning?
Ofc if you've drawn 10 tickets already, your eleventh has 1/10 000 again. But if i haven't drawn any tickets yet, and i start trying, trying 10 times gives more chance to win than 1.
And to get that chance up to 50% was the original question. And using logarithmics the solution is 6900.

PiltoversCupcake
(EUW)
:
There is no expected values. It's completely RNG. There will always be a 1/10000 chance, so I guess 5000 is 50% and 9900 is 99%. That's as close to expected values as you're gonna get, but it's completely RNG.
Never mind. My friend just broke it down for me, i'll just put it here in case you are curious what i was trying to find:
She answered:
"Since the propability of the win is 1/10 000 (P = 0.0001), the chance of 'no win' is 1 P. Since they are separate tries and no draw affects the next draw, the chance for 50% to NOT draw the winning ticket is when 0.9999^x = 0.5. Solve x.
You will have to draw 6932 times to get your chances of winning over 50%.
To get the chance up to 99% you would need almost 50 000 draws. Naturally the chance will never be 100%, but as the amount of draws approaches infinity, the chance of winning approaches 100%.

PiltoversCupcake
(EUW)
:
If you put the ticket back in the bowl, the amount of repetitions needed will be infinite, because there will always be a 1/10000 chance of picking a winning ticket.
If you took the ticket out however, it would go down to 1/9999, 1/9998 ect, and will only be 50% on the last 2 tickets of 1/2 and 100% chance at 1/1.
yea no. i'm talking about expected values here.
