: I'm pretty sure that it doesn't work by comparing you to your teammates. I got an S with Rammus one of the first times I played as him (it was his free week, I don't even own him). I had a few kills and one or two deaths but a whole lot of assists because the game was carried by a team of smurfs.
Yeah the stats alone count too ! If u had most of Assists and Damage taken 1st , with ONLY 2 deaths , good warding or braking words , and there are many other values if I see ur game , but I'm sure it can be explained ! What I'm saying is that with Supports that are depended on shielding , or the 2nd thing they do is shielding , they have -1 stat that it doesn't count anywhere so we can have better calculation ! :) Thanks for ur reply Fenix !! ^_^
: I always got the feeling that the system is checking if your skillshots connected or not. So maybe that was a problem for your grade? Did you miss alot of your tornados in that game? Just my assumption though, I got the feeling I get most of my s ratings in games I was able to hit ALL my skillshots. I don't think it will make it easier to get s rating if we introduce a stat that shows how much damage you prevented with shields. Doesn't mean it shouldn't exist, actually I support this idea since it shows the value of shielding champions in the game. It is the same like healing, just used preventive instead of reactive and so it should be shown in the stats just like healing.
I didn't use "q" (tornado) early or midgame . Only Late game . It might be easier . For if the system counts the Damage Dealt To Champs of a mid champ like {{champion:55}} more than the other stats . i give a blind exable of calculating the Rank : Damage to champs 40% , Gold 20% , CS 20% , Damage Taken 10% , wards 10% . For Supports like {{champion:40}} would be : shielding 40% , healing 25% , wards 20% , damage taken 5% , damage to champs 5% , CS 5% ... I know its much moooore values it could be even the skill shot , I keep that in mind too . But the example I gave is a fail one just to understand how I think about it ! :) Thanks for ur reply Satomi !! ^_^

Yeah the point of those Ranks in the end is the Mastery Tokens .. But with S even in some mods , u take Chests !!! So if there was a balanced value that counts shielding , I would have taken an S- at least :/ and I would have helped friend(s) to take chests as well as me if I don't have already . It needs time but I'm sure it can be done and have this extra value ! Thanks for ur time Spooky ! :)

Then we ended the game while Nasus was usess and kept farming. I think the system might not only compare you with average players of the champion that you play but also it compares you with your lane opponents. Maybe it even calculates how well your teamates performed. I mean you might have good kda and cs but your kda/cs and other stats might be insignificant when you are compared to your teamates. (Aka they carried you and you got good score because of them*). *Which is not my opinion but this is probably how the system sees it. Which leads to one thing. Screw your best teamates so that you will be the Star.
yeah lane opponents and stuff we've been talking about that with UninstalledLife . I agree it calculates maaany things ofc . Ur S maybe earned cause u had the less damage taken without much tankyness and mostly damage items, Though ur damage dealt is < than Nasus' but u had more cs and 25% participation in team fights , he had almost none ! Also compared to ur team , ur CS was pretty good and even if not compared , ur CS was good anyway ! Ur Deaths was create just 1 ! {{champion:107}} might had 5 K and 0 D BUT the damage he did on champs wasn't good .... 40% of yours (and ur damage was good not bad) and ur support's {{champion:245}} xD .. and 25% of ur {{champion:222}} (that jinx must have earn S too ..) u have placed MANY wards (9) and ur support 2nd with (7) all others =<4 . Also vision ward u bought and no one did .. U were Good enough actually . There are lot of stuff we could say by just the statistics I saw but what I particularly talk about is for the abilities that gives "Shield" ! I believe It's a bit unbalanced not to be calculated and show the work of the shields someone have made .. In one game I really turned the game with {{champion:40}} by especially Shielding , slow , cancel consecrating abilities , Split formation "R" and create advantage . I know it's too much that CAN'T be calculated , let alone by seeing it . That's why I ask at least the shields . Because I believe it can be done , but in needs time how it'll work to every champ and many situations . Thanks for your reply m8 ! :)

It will count differently depend on champ , role etc . Need work for sure . But it is an idea for not being so hard to take S Ranks for some supports !

Yep I agree with that and just Saying that Some Supports are earning the S harder and with an **extra stat** on overall might be easier . Didn't say put it :P just suggesting :)

You can get 50-0-0 and still get A+ simply because you, for example, don't cs enough. Janna is an extremely easy champion to pick up assists and to not die. Therefore you have to be beyond that. Do more damage, take more towers/dragons/barons, etc.
hmmm u want me right now to mention all ?! 1st of all I'm speaking for the S rank & Supports ONLY ! 2nd .. When u play Support , do u really want ur CS to count in the end ? Supports earns Gold in different ways and left all cs to others (normally) or take some to heal ur ally/give gold with this {{item:3302}} but again ur CS in team is the worst . Even if u want ur CS stat to count, it doesn't ! The system works differently depend on what you play and maybe what "ROLE" u play .. Anyway in others words what I want to say is that the Mastery Rank depends on ur own stats AND overall stats of both Enemy and ur Team (even the Gold earned I count) and i have no prob with that , BUT the supports Im referring to doesn't have damage or CS , they have normal gold maybe high in a GOOD situation , no dmg taken , maybe not the best healing too if u have Mundo in team a takes all the credit :P . For that they are less competitive to earn S rank and its harder :/ So if we have an extra Shielding Stat I think would be balanced and those few supports will have almost same difficulty to take S like all other champs .
