: hey i have that too man.. i won 7 games and lost 2 and i got still +15/14+ lp and lose 22/20 lp. I dont know how too. The gg op said that i had plat 4 mmr and i was 60lp plat 5. So i dont get it too how this is going on. Also a girlfriend of mine have the same. Just lost 3/4 matches and now she get only +15 and lose 20. I have the feeling there is something wrong with the system calculation and that when you win the systen doesn't count as win and raising your mmr

: because prob you had a waaaaay lose streak.. and don't trust the mmr sites, they aren't as accurate as many wish them to be! :p rather, try to guess it from the lp you receive.. and hope for less trolls in your games to come! Like, if you are matched with players lower mmr than you are supposed to be (losing streak), or simply because it is kind of late, when you lose, you have fallen from "more noob" opponents - and you are punished harder for that. If you win.. you won vs nabs and you get nearly nothing from that except the yolo sprees... the reversed is true as well! just, dont trust mmr sites! amd remember that matches arent exactly balanced at this hour..

: As soon as you lose more LP than you gain, it means your personal MMR (Match Making Rate - which is a number) is lower than the rank you currently have. Each Rank (Divisions like Gold 1, 2, 3, etc.) has its own set MMR-Level. Gold 1 for instance has like 1800 MMR points or something. Also each game has its own MMR-level (average MMR number of all 10 players) if this "Game-MMR" is higher than your personal MMR and you manage to win, you will gain a lot more LP. If the Game-MMR is lower than your personal MMR and you lose the game, you will lose a lot more LP than usual. If you win/lose a game that has a somewhat simular MMR-level to your personal MMR, you will gain/lose the same amount of LP, usually around +18 if you win and -18 if you lose. This also influences what pick you are in draft phase (first pick to last pick). The system makes you the first pick if your personal MMR is higher than the game MMR, that's because it tries to even it out by making the "better" players of the game pick first so the enemy team can counter pick you easier. If you are last pick, the game MMR is probably higher than your personal MMR so it tries to give you a better chance to influence the game by giving you last pick. As you can imagine having the last pick puts you at a good advantage. If you are like 2-3 pick in your team, your personal MMR is kind of the same as the game MMR. I would consider playing League with the "Let's-not-lose" rather than the "Let's-win"-mindset. Therefore I would always dodge a game where I didn't get my main role and Champ. In a long term MMR is more important than LP. Even if you dodge and lose 10 LP, if your MMR is stacked up you just have to not lose one game and you would have even more than when before you dodged, think about that.
