: when will the Lunar revel event come out???
We had the whole weekend when most people in my friend group had time and would've wanted to play URF or whatever that comes with the event, but no, why would you release something sooner, or adjust it to different timezones - or when people have more time. No wonder the lot of them will never come back to be active players. You guys managed to eliminate 3-4-5-6 year-long players within a few seasons. I really hope you're not surprised that you've lost your players' respect and the ability to care. Good job on it. Also, I really hope this new release mode will not be the trend in the future. No reason to log-in at the first week then until everything's out. Or, the next "logical" step is to just make everything a "pay-to-unlock-early" option. (Yes, I'm being sarcastic here.) Please, someone at Riot, be brave enough, and tell that boss who thought this was a good idea, and tell him what you should've said the first moment: "why, though, it's so stupid". Either he's disconnected from the player-base, or you guys are smoking some shit there.

: If riot pays attention to this, there’s hope next season
Same shit on EUNE. If you don't play the game, you have so much free time to type in chat. I barely played ~60 ranked games in the past two seasons, and I don't think I've had a single quality one. Strangely enough, I've had more competitive, trying to win and focusing, flameless, but also difficult, close games (those old-school 30-40 mins ones League used to have and was none for before the "we already lost at 5 mins, because it's snowballing out of control") in ARAM (where it's very common that, regardless of how well you were doing, you lose 2 towers in 30 secs after just one team fight cause towers are made out of paper), than I had a single one in ranked. In my own experiences, the only competition now is who can be the biggest troll, or the biggest jerk.

: For sure, yes, you can report it. I can't tell you if it'll result in a punishment, but generally, there are no downsides to reporting it, so you should do it. On the other hand, even if it's not punished yet, Riots instant feedback system learns from reports. If it sees a lot of players report a certain type of behavior, it'll go and send the analyzed data for a Rioter to review and then, it may be added and the analyzed behavior may be punished for in the future. Even if something does not end up getting punished for, sending reports isn't only a way of punishing those that Riot wants to punish, but to also present your opinion on what should be punished.
This is actually pretty interesting to know. I was never really sure whether it's a learning AI, or if it's just a number check (you have X, you get punished for it) - if this makes sense. The thing is (also the problem) that it's not just a "?" in chat, but the whole behaviour in the game (maybe he was spamming the chat, asking us to ff as well, mastery spamming, and other micro stuff that makes sense in the context of the game, but might not be for a programme, or without watching a replay). Also, if that "?" happened due to something genunely weird ({{champion:412}} {{item:3690}} still going off after {{champion:69}} ulti - which technically had to be cast first, but it's not often you see this interaction). If you report that person, but for something else, maybe the learning process won't be exact...? (I guess this "evens out" the more data you have, but I'm just _pretending_ that I understand how this works. Still find it interesting, though.) By the way, does typing anything into the commentary have any effect at all? There were a bunch of times I explained what happened in-game, and provided screenshots and/or translations of what someone was saying (e.g. he was swearing/flaming in my language, not English), while other times I just checked the boxes as I really couldn't be bothered to deal with them more. > Even if something does not end up getting punished for, sending reports isn't only a way of punishing those that Riot wants to punish, but to also present your opinion on what should be punished. I'm sure you'll never release this data, but it'd be so interesting to see it (the general ideas, by regions/servers, elo, game type, demographic, what's really high on the list from all the misbehaviours). I'm sure there are concepts that are both wanted to be punished and not (or should be based on context somehow), e.g. starting a surrender vote. I know I started a bunch as I couldn't see as doing any damage, and getting back from a 10-20-30 kills deficit, just like I refused to surrender games where I thought we had a fighting chance, and I knew I had the damage. I also think about reporting someone for a lost game - if we couldn't do anything, it sucks, but there's nothing to do about it. But when someone ragequits, or tried really hard not to help win, or goes afk in a way that they won't get an afk warning, and the system doesn't acknowledge them as afk (e.g. someone waiting to take the chickens even though they are not up and the enemy just by the way casually walks into our base and we're 4v5, because he went into a rage mode). My personal pet peeve is when someone's not hitting the Nexus. I've lost close games before with high death timers, because we were ending, but my team mates decided to suicide into the enemy fountain, or not hit it and just dancing there. The enemy came back up, killed them as they were still dancing and ended the game. They might've thought it was funny, or it was a sure win, so who cares, but in my mind, they were intentionally throwing the game. There's also this weird idea some players have (I've seen it happen), that regardless of you inting, swearing, or flaming, "it's just ARAM, you cannot report me". I can. I did. You can have fun, and be (semi-) competitive, _and_ not flame either teams. I know, it's crazy talk. Who would believe such a thing? I miss the days when I didn't have to report someone in almost every game (I might've 2,5-3k games this season, and I'm quite sure more than half of it ended with a report), and I could honor my team mate, and an enemy, because it was a good game. Also, I'd like to see data on whether and how much of someone being a flamer affects their team and the chances of winning (that game and overall). But I'm not sure it exists besides my personal experiences. (Not to mention - and I'm taking the negative side here -, that some forms of trolling have been legitimized by Riot themselves, so you "can" do it, but that doesn't mean your team mates will like it (regardless of who's right), or even that you'll win. You wanna play inting {{champion:14}}, {{item:3091}} {{item:3091}} {{item:3091}} {{item:3091}} {{item:3091}} {{item:3091}} {{champion:131}}, you can do it. You don't even have to do any research as to how or why. The line between "meta", "off-meta", not the strongest picks, situational ones, and trolling are getting blurrier in my opinion, and that could lead down to a rabbit hole.)
: Changes to Honor Eligibility for End of Season Rewards
I'm gonna come off as really mean, but this is way too lenient. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/TGYs0hwO-2018-end-of-season-rewards-and-honor https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/developer-corner/TGYs0hwO-2018-end-of-season-rewards-and-honor?comment=009c Unless I totally misunderstood (possible), the Na-version is worded as such, if you get chat-restricted even in your "grace period", you are eligible for rewards. Please, don't. While chat-restriction is the lowest form of punishment, it is responsible for lost games as it is affecting the mood and willingness of your team mates (and often it is paired with trolling as well). I have 100+ screenshots of chat messages in-game just from this season - I don't know if any of them have been punished, but it would be so disappointed to see any of them from the over the line ones not get punished. So, their behaviour is not punished, and it sure doesn't feel quite right being max. honour level since it was introduced, not wanting to be the toxic part of the community, but this being meaningless. If it helps the community become less toxic and I don't have to report some every single day I play, and not seeing "%%% kurwa" almost every week in chat... good. But I truely don't believe in your amnesty trials.

: Tell us your Ranked 2018 stories!
Hopefully this is good enough for Dear Whiski's ever-so high standards (like Shakespeare was the best - not even knowing that of the vast Hungarian literature). lol "Wild Lands of Ranked and Disappointments On the darkest nights, all the curious minds wonder: am I good enough to wander into the wild lands of ranked; will I be skilled enough to hold myself as well as I hope to be with all my dreams, skills and beliefs? Does 5600 battles from the first snow to the leaves falling down on the _Broken Bridge_ above the ever _Howling Abyss_ that shallowed than have forgotten the „Watchers” (who even remembers their fight? – those few still alive shall never forget; keeping the gates forever shut) matter in the grand scheme of things? How can one’s nervousness and excitement stay alive for the longest time, when the road was accompanied by harrowing experiences thus far? Not only by feeling worthlessness reaching to the shine that of platina and gold, but also by the direct sabotage of those with a darker heart – many paving your climb with malicious _intent_. Winter-time has not come yet, but my road seems to end here, not Victorious in all three paths I could have chosen. But thus _that_ one question lies here: shall one go through and burn like a fragile flower in the dawn, and never come back here again, or just play for one’s own enjoyment?"

: [01-11-18] Cancellation of Clash for this weekend
I don't care about it, nor do I have people to play with (all of my friends quit this game this year), but I do admire your evil and sadistic ways in which you always give some hope to players, than quickly take it away. {{sticker:vlad-salute}} One might say you're doing "_a draining exercise_". (But speaking seriously for a moment, the EUNE client and server were unstable, or really so-so all year, so it might be worth looking into them. The client was barely usable in the first day after a new patch during the last 6-10(?) patches. The client can be constantly slower than it should be, random lag spikes or fps drops - you can "see" the missing frames when the game suddenly "cuts" -, hidden lags, even when the numbers are good, the game not being reactive, or you get 5000 ms, and the game dc's you. While not everyday, but it happens enough and has happened during this season that it's definitely worth a thorough check-up and investigation.)

I really hope you won't get many members. You are a bad part of this game. I've had the displeasure of meeting some L9-members (either yours or a different one, doesn't matter), all had to be reported after the game and showed how toxic players can be. So, thank you for making this game a worse experience.

: > What I'd like is a separate menu for our report history and showing (e.g. green O for done, red X for still in progress) what reports have been dealt with. This would violate privacy laws, as it would be easy to identify who gets punished. It would also enable people to reverse engineer the system, making the system itself less effective. --- > but only got 3 instant feedback this year. 3?! That's intentional. The feedback notification is intentionally set to rarely pop up under certain conditions. --- > But cheating, hate speech, and verbal abuse get a flagged and require a human look at it. That would make the system way less efficient than it is now. I think you underestimate just how many people play this game, and how many games are constantly played. The amount of reports that get generated are way way too many for humans to handle. If you had a queue like this, you would need to expect months before a player was punished. The automated systems takes 15 minutes. Improving these systems is the logical approach. --- > We had an idea for adding additional options for reporting as the current ones are too vague and don't cover everything on the NA boards. We had more report options in the past, but it reduced clarity. It was quite common for people to say on the forums that they didn't know what to select with all the options, so they didn't report. Honestly, we need less options, not more.
I really appreciate the answer and mentioning things I haven't even thought about (reverse engineering). Although, an anonim "AX1234 - Negative Attitude, Verbal Abuse" would be engineerable and exploitable as well? But I still have to hold my opinion that the current system is not that good on the player's end. Even, if the system is working well, and you have the data to support it, it doesn't seem that way. Hence why people complaining about people not getting punished. We don't know what has happened after we sent a report. Also, when you get a feedback, was it the person who intentionally fed the enemy team? Was it the person to kill yourself *insert racial slur*? The one who told us how he'd kill and rape our family? Or was it because just a bunch of stacked up negative attitude? I too feel that more feedback would make us less negative about the system. I have ~100 screenshots just from this season from negative attitude to more or less death threats, or at least indication of physical assault alongside with breaking and entering. This season has become more toxic than it was even just last year, and I don't know what has happened, but it doesn't feel any better, either. This used to be a much more enjoyable game. Which - I feel - is a valid complaint. This is why I will mention that we should have a different system, any time I can. If, anything, I just want the more options. I understand that it has reduced clarity, but there are a bunch of times when a behaviour falls in-between categories: it's more than verbal abuse, but it's not as much as hate speech. This is why I linked that forum thread where we had some ideas: mainly to add short explanations to the report options. Anyways, thanks for the answer. Hopefully, this will come up at some meeting some time in the future. {{sticker:sg-soraka}} Ps: or just teach your algorithm more slangs with the help of native speakers, or teach it more based on previous reports. I know that's duable, but I also know algorithms can go real wild real fast (e.g. that Twitter-one that went batshit crazy).

I'm looking forward the Korean teams having their bootcamps in EU. {{sticker:sg-miss-fortune}} They could learn all the cheesy and {{champion:74}} laners. To be fair, I thought NA would do better, if they had just stayed with playing their own weird picks and style.
CJXander (EUNE)
: Why isn't swearing in your own language a bannable offense?
I've reported and translated so many things, but I think 1, some things are harder to detect (if you're language can get creative with swearing, or a non-native speaker/the algorithm would not understand the nuisance, or the style behind it) 2, the whole report and feedback system is non-transparent. What I'd like is a separate menu for our report history and showing (e.g. green O for done, red X for still in progress) what reports have been dealt with. Just based on the instant feedback system alone, I've reported (I have ~100 screenshots for proof of toxicity, verbal abuse and racism, and stuff in general from just season alone, with submitted tickets to a bunch of them) a lot, but only got 3 instant feedback this year. 3?! But if we're to assume punishments have been actually issued, the system is working... but, how do we actually know about this? It certainly doesn't feel good not being toxic, reporting toxicity, and... nothing has happened. Cool... I think the instant feedback system (or the lack there of) is the single worst thing on the players' end of the report system. I can be critical of Riot Games, but you still have one of the biggest games of the World and I assume you have the resources to employ the best in the industry - but it's meaningless, if you're algorithm is good, when the consumer feedback is bad. I also think that we should differenciate between low, medium and high priority reports, and everything above e.g. blue (medium) should be reviewed by a human, not just an algorithm. Were you negative in a game? Welp, happens. You get a negative attitude. Give me one as well, if you'd like. I can keep my honour 5 consistently, so I don't really care. Were you trolling? That's another step-up in the levels. Though, soft trolling is hard to tell without looking at the replays. But cheating, hate speech, and verbal abuse get a flagged and require a human look at it. We had an idea for adding additional options for reporting as the current ones are too vague and don't cover everything on the NA boards. https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/uk7Xghst-improving-the-report-system-clarity-on-the-report-window
Eambo (EUW)
: The Climb - How's yours going?
Hm... I don't really play ranked. I just feel that the toxicity, the trolling, and not caring increased so much over the years, it's not that worth putting the time into it. So, I mostly stick to ARAM (~5300 games/season with a positive winrtae), but I kind of want that {{item:3306}} {{champion:61}} - the skin and the 3rd chroma. **Ranked Solo**: Silver 1, 20 LP / 17W 16V, Winrate 52%. Ah, the good old times with ~65% winrate, but I stopped playing ranked after 3 of my promos ended up in being trolled in a row. 5K health {{champion:14}} with {{item:3748}} {{item:3083}} {{item:3053}} ulting into our base after the 10 minute mark. {{sticker:zombie-brand-clap}} **Twisted Treeline**: I think I've done 5 of my placement games, so I've no idea where I am right now. This might be the first time in years I've come to this map. Besides one or two games, it's pretty chill and less toxic - but so-so-so much more buggy than SR/ARAM. It still uses the old banning system. :O **Ranked Flex**: Haven't even touched it yet, but it seems I had two games on it already. I hope we won. {{champion:61}} is something _I can_ play, but it's not really among my best and most favourite champs, but a "free" skin is a free skin - and how know when will I randomly get the {{item:3695}}{{champion:61}} skin? I really want some skins on certain champs as I have trouble seeing where their abilities are; I'm not even colour-blind, they just get lost in all the effects. **Goals?** * I'd like to go up 1 division every year, but that requires starting earlier in the season, and being in the right mood for ranked, and constantly adjusting my champ pool. That's why I like ARAM. I can be consistent with someone, but maybe I'm not in the mood, or I've already played it a few times today. I might do really well on something else. Also, I don't know what role I wanna play today, but autofilling almost exlusively puts me into support - which is whatever, but it's always that? I like playing ADC's in every game, but it's been long gone the {{item:3504}} {{champion:40}} meta, or even just a few months back when {{champion:51}} {{item:3094}} could one-shot anything, and not getting one-shot by everything.{{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}} * Working on the laning phase. I really dislike CS-ing (last hitting) and laning (hence the ARAM games). Just get me to the team fights, so I can do something: {{champion:22}} {{champion:51}} {{champion:39}} {{champion:429}} {{champion:68}} {{champion:50}} {{champion:6}} {{champion:161}} {{champion:8}}. > Yes, please stand there, all grouped up together, don't even pay attention to me just casually damaging your whole team. That {{champion:68}} {{item:3751}} is just part of the map, please, stay on it, it's really warm and comfy. * Getting better at rotations. Sometimes I feel that I'm lost on the map, more so when there's downtime, and no contesting is going on, or anything really useful can be gained, and I could move to places more efficiently. > What am I doing? Where even am I? I wanted to get to Gold/Plat this season, but I didn't play ranked, so yeah... Going to plat with a whole season of ranked might not be impossible - I have 2-3 years and ~10k games in this game, so I don't think it's that out of the question. Getting to low Diamond would be nice down the road as I'm not too against challenging myself and improving, but I'm not sure about ranked (besides how good I am/I can get). I kind of feel the overall game quality has decreased noticeable this season for some reason (both for fun and competitive game modes), and even in ranked there's no good competitive spirit. It's not that the players are bad per se, but after 1 death in the game, someone might quit or start trolling. :/ I'd like more fun/semi-competitive game modes (but playing to win), and something with a more competitive nature as well. Btw, be careful with your wrist, Eambo. Although, I only have a slight problem with my wrist, but have some joint injuries that still occasionally hurt. Doing physiotherapy, and certain exercises (that those therapist recommends) can help. What I know is using your mouse for a long time and without any breaks doesn't really help. I think you need to do a different/opposite motion...????? --> Play football throughout primary school, do combat sports during middle-school, and be okay - injure your knee at home on your sofa. {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}} Edit: no, I'm never touching ranked again. It's either cheese, inting, or just another awful experience. I don't care about the Ori skin anymore. I'm not touching this game again. All of my friends quit this game, and so am I now. I could put up with everything Riot has down in this year, but not the players. Any change will be too little too late. I'm really sad as it used to be a good game.

{{champion:53}} {{champion:412}} {{champion:555}} can hook you through minions (not between them, through them when 3-6 are standing before you and them), and the hook animation goes to 12 o'clock, you get hit by it even at 2 o'clock. A {{champion:412}} hooked me behind my own team mate when we were standing in a straight line. {{champion:32}} hook leeches onto you. {{champion:111}} hook gets you even outside of his range. {{champion:99}} and {{champion:25}} are known offenders - if it doesn't look like a hit on your screen, it shouldn't be. It can be due to the asymmetrical map, but then that's the one that needs to be tweeked. {{champion:122}} his E can either grab you even if it shouldn't, or will never grab anyone. {{champion:432}} his Q can stun you in a 45°. {{champion:39}} E has a strange hitbox. I can never tell (with or against it) whether that's gonna be a stun, or will just stop right before the character. {{champion:202}} stuns you when the W visible and obviously missed. {{champion:222}} W can hit you when it looked like a miss (again, if it's a visual issue, and not character issue, that should be changed) {{champion:76}} just today my spear went through a {{champion:89}} multiple times. Even my team mates saw that it just ignores the character. {{champion:7}} might just be me, but her E is always a 50:50. It can leeches onto you from the most random angle, but can also miss the character completely. {{champion:14}} he's so buggy on ARAM. Charges his Q in the right side bush, but the animation shows and the knock-up hits you at the end of the left side bush (both looking outwards to the lane). Also, just in general, the knock-up has a larger aoe than the actual hitbox shown. {{champion:16}} Star Guardian's E animation is smaller than the actual hitbox. Just let us switch on our own hitboxes for showing...
