: While you play the game, turn on some music that you enjoy, to calm your mind. There are some nice calm songs around there, especialy from the 70's-90's. Second thing that you could try is playing with people in the skype, find some calm people to play with, if something is about to happen, then they could help you. You deffenetly should avoid any pills, coffee and any negative attidude, if you see negative players, mute them instantly and dont think about winning, think about having fun and laugh.. you need more laugh, not too much but some. Try to ride some bike outside or walk like few km's per day and ofthen freshen the air in your home. If you wish, you may add me and we can play sometimes, i dont care about ranks etc as long as people are always positive.

Thanks a lot for the advices. Today i played with a cool person on skype, i always listen to music when i am playing it, chillout or relaxing music especially for calming. I'm trying to change my attitude and view this as a game, because it is a game. Cheers!
: 12 hours probably isn't ideal in the first place...at least not without breaks.
It was happening in the past, few years ago, in the begining. And not every day. Just on the weekends, sometimes. But i saw a lot of streamers doing 24hrs run and they didn't had any issues with this.
: Dude if your health is being affected by this game, then just quit it with no hesitation at all. screw this game in your case.
This is what i should really do, unfortunately. :(
: You need to find your balance between all those. Oh, and dont read too much in the internet. Every single person is different
Well, this is also correct. I mean if you believe everything that's posted on internet, you can go crazy for real. I know some cases. :)) I added you on EUW: FrozenBliss

: I'm 22, my MD started 2008 or 09. Unfortunately, you can't cure many of these conditions yet, but, as I said, speaking from my and some other patient's experiences, the medication can benefit your health condition.
If you are reading on the internet, everyone states that if you have a healthy life style (sport, good diet, social life), the anxiety disorder starts to fade in time. The correct decision for me would be to just not play the game anymore, i know that. but it's kinda hard especially when you have an empty period of time and you're not on your best days. ^^

I can't deny the fact that i was fine when i was taking those pills but...as i said, they are not solving the real issue, unfortunately. How old are you guys?
: In psychiatry, antidepressants and tranquilizers are only used to secure and enable a therapy (unless the patient only shows a depressive episode, where often no therapy is needed). Plenty of research studies provide information about how these medications increase the rate of success of rehab and decrease the rate of relapses. Also, there are long-term studies which have shown that the medications available for depressions haven't got any negative effect on your brain cells whatsoever, neither do they change who you are or change your IQ (unless it suffered before, it may increase). I think you should change your way of thinking... Pubmed has the resources you will be looking for. Conversational therapy is what you should aim for. For a major depression, there are atleast 3 essential parts to get rid or fight against the condition successfully: - Medicational ("psychiatric") therapy - Conversational therapy - Social/ free time (really helped me a lot) Hope this helps, get back to me any time, I got tons of resources :)
Maybe if i can find a good psychologist somewhere, it would be great. Does anyone knows anything about yoga? Does it realy work?
: Tbh if you're not feeling well doing the stuff that usually made you happy, you should probably consider undergoing therapy again. That's what I did and I'm starting to enjoy it again. If you have an EUW account we can talk about it :)
Therapy with pills? I do not recommand that to anyone. Why? On the long run those pills are destroying your brain. I am not joking. Plus of that, they are not healing anything and they are not solving the depression/anxiety issues. They are just solving the symptoms and that's pretty much it. Look at me, i took the pills for 3 years and i was fine. I was also fine half an year after i stopped taking them. And now what? The anxiety is back like before. So even if you take pills, it's only about you to find a way to solve your mental issues. Unfortunately is pretty hard to do it alone. I know. :)

Because you don't think it's bad for you. It's something we struggle to understand but that is CRUCIAL! We do what we want to do. If you really thought that LoL was **just** bad for you you wouldn't play it. But you do. Because it brings you something, because you seek something. What is it? The sensation of competition itself is just superficial. What does this sensation brings you? Why are you attached to it?
I tried so many games in the past few years and the only game that kept my attention is LOL. I know that it's for the same reason that everybody plays it: competition, the desire to win and to be better. Well, i think i can see where you're coming from right now. Hmm...if i am thinking better it's because in real life i do not have any competition at all. In other words, the problem with me, particularly, is that i have some issues with myself in real life and that's maybe the reason for which i'm coming back to this game. It seems that in real life i couldn't find any motivation to be competitive in any way or with anything at the moment, unfortunately. I know for sure that if in real life i would have motivation to do something with all my heart and completely dedicated to it, LOL would completely dissapear from my every day habits. I had periods of time when i didn't played it at all because in real life i was fine, i didn't need it. I think that the final answer for this is that i didn't yet found my vocation and i am just living from day to day without any motivation. I had a few moments in the past on which i was at my best, i was uber-motivated and energic and i was doing what i loved to do. Unfortunately, those moments passed and now i am here. :) It sound's sad, i know, but i think this is the truth. For the moment i needed something to do for 2-3 days until i will finish my holidays and get back to UK and i was trying to stay away from LOL. I really do appreciate all your effort to answer me. It's ironic that if it's for the others, i am the best psychologist. If it's about me, i am the worst and...for the moment i am not passing the best moments of my life. {{champion:32}}

: That's amazing. You should tell your physician about it. At first he'll probably advise you to stop playing the game at once, but maybe you can get him to understand that like this, you can make your symptoms appear in a safe and controlled environment. I'm not an expert but I believe this might prove very valuable.

I'm not an expert but I believe this might prove very valuable. I think it's because the stress from in game, the concentration and the desire to not make any mistakes, are triggering the anxiety sensation more than it's normal. And the biggest problem is that it's modifying my breathing rhythm to a very slow pace rate.
: Think of yourself as a bunch of TNT. When you're stressed, it's like you're exploding. The explosion was triggered by a button (here LoL). You shouldn't focus on the button but rather on the TNTs (yourself) and why you are that ready to explode. In other words, try to understand what's happening and you'll might be able to overcome the issue. The stress is not randomly triggered. Your mind wants and needs it. Why? What do you seek in it? Those are the questions you must ask yourself to maybe understand what's happening. Leave the "childhood explanation" away, leave the "I have X disease" away, focus on the present time and what's happening right now : why do you want to be stressed right now? Once you got it you can start working on it.

Once you got it you can start working on it. Well I was asking myself the same question few weeks ago: why do I come back to the game if it's bad for me? Well, I can tell you that after some time you really forget how bad it was and the sensation of competition is bringing me again into it. I am excited when I'm thinking about playing it, after a break of 1-2 weeks and the cycle is going into a loop. I'm coming back, playing it for 1-2 days maximum, I get sick of the comunity and I experience the anxiety problems and I uninstall. Break. Install after max 2 weeks and so on. :(
: Take a break when it begins. I experienced the same issues. Or you start with the pills again, maybe start a therapy
> [{quoted}](name=Truman Chipotle,realm=EUW,application-id=2BfrHbKG,discussion-id=kQchGdQr,comment-id=0000,timestamp=2015-10-16T11:45:39.654+0000) > > Take a break when it begins. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to have a normal life anymore. :)
: Are you stressed cause of your teammates or just the game?
> [{quoted}](name=PePsiLemoNN,realm=EUW,application-id=2BfrHbKG,discussion-id=kQchGdQr,comment-id=0004,timestamp=2015-10-16T12:46:01.517+0000) > > Are you stressed cause of your teammates or just the game? I got stressed because of the community in those 5 years: afkers on purpose, flamers in almost every game and intentional feeding. I got my main account on plat 5 on season 4 but I dont't think that all the stress was really worth the effort. Basically I began to take the pills 4 years ago after almost half an year of intensive playing and I reached the maximum peak of the anxiety at that time when I coudn't go out on the street without having a panic attack and adrenaline rush in my body. After I quit the pills last year I was able to play the game for half an year without any problems but because it modifies my breath rhythm, when I sleep at night I breathe very slow and this affects my body functions: cardiac pulse is rising to provide the needed oxygen, the brain is not getting enough oxygen and I am waking up in the middle of the night with a suffocation sensation and with a very high heart beat.
: Well either take the pill again, go see a professional about it, or just stop playing (it ain't worth it if you are being negatively affected by it).
> [{quoted}](name=swampert919,realm=EUW,application-id=2BfrHbKG,discussion-id=kQchGdQr,comment-id=0005,timestamp=2015-10-16T17:18:40.221+0000) > > Well either take the pill again, go see a professional about it, or just stop playing (it ain't worth it if you are being negatively affected by it). Those pills are not good for the brain at all on the long run. That's why I do not take them anymore. So either I stop playing or I find a solution to be able to play it for 1-2 hours/day.
: This is not a rhetorical question - I am genuinly interested in the answer-, but why do you play this game when you know your body cannot handle it yet?
I had no idea about this. I just want to know if someone maybe has the same issues as me. I was playing it for many years and it's the single game that i like to play. I uninstalled it many times this year just to stay away and to come back to normal. :(
