: Screen flickering on an LCD? What monitor do you have? It's definitely not a standard behavior. Also, can you at least try it with 60Hz?
Yes I've tried with 60Hz aswell. Still occurs. My monitor is Philips 226V4. Maybe flickering isn't the right word to say it, I wanted to express myself like, on 72Hz screen and pointer on desktop move much smoother than on 60Hz.
: Hey there, the reason why I forced 70hz/72hz is because on 60hz I can see screen flickering...maybe that's just me and my eyes but I've been runing League for a long time with those 72hz and like I said. It worked perfectly all untill yesterday when vsync just stopped working all of a sudden. As said in the post above
Also. When I am in the windowed mode I get my 72 fps with 1920 by 1080, so no matter what resolution I select, it is going to display 72 fps. When I am in the fullscreen mode vsync doesn't work no matter which resolution I select. When I am in the borderless mode, vsync works if I select any other lower resolution. Example: 1680 by 1050. Doesn't work with the 1920 by 1080

: Capping fps is a different technique and still results in tearing/stuttering.

: Why exactly you force your monitor to 72hz if it's native 60hz? Try regular 60hz. The driver tries to apply your desktop hz but ingame only supports 60hz. So it deactivates V-Sync. V-Sync only supports 15/30/60/75/90 and so on with Triple Buffer. Without Triple Buffer it only supports 30/60/120

: Can someone justify this?
Hello there. When playing ranked games you are matchmaked with players that have similar "ELO" or "MMR" as you do. You can check your MMR on the op.gg page. It's roughly that it will tell you the exact MMR you are having but it is somewhat correct. When playing normal games you get matchmaked with players of big rank difference. Because normal games do not affect your MMR. Hope that I cleared some things. Best regards, tuckerthekidd
: FPS drops Help please
Hey there. I have somewhat the same problem, so that's why I have vsync enabled. It will cap your fps to your monitor's screen refresh rate. That said, you won't be getting screen tearing and fps drops. Note: go into your gpu control panel and under the vsync option select -> adaptive. (Reason for this is that you might experience the so called microstutter, a frame drop. 60 to 59) You can do it by rightclicking on your desktop and going to "nvidia control panel" if you are a nvidia gpu user and "amd catalyst" if you are an amd gpu user. Try this and please respond whether it helped or not. If you rather decide not to use vsync, make sure you clean your registry by using CCleaner and clean your pc by using trusted program called ADWcleaner. It removes unnecessary files that may be slowing your pc down. Also clears registry keys and any unwanted programs. Cheers
: i have 3 wise words: Don't use V-sync! it's not worth it and hell, it rarely even shows a big difference!

Hey. It does show the difference, screen tearing without vsync is not acceptable by me. I simply can't get used to see screen tearing with stuttering, it's just not playable.
