: Is something wrong with platinum division?
Platinum is just a complete mess, I wouldn't worry too much about it or give it any importance. I finished Diamond 3 last season and I'm still Plat 2 now after 300 games, last season it took me 500 games to get my account to Diamond 5 on my smurf. I am a Top main. I completely understand what you're feeling right now since I went / still going to some extent , through the same thing. High platinum - low diamond MMR is ridiculously filled with people who either don't understand that in more or less half their games they just have to know how to get carried, or they get it but don't like it so on a deeper level in their subconscious they would rather lose a game by trying to carry and failing, than winning with a bad"ish" KDA by hugging the turret and playing "catch up" all game long allowing their teammates to pop off. Once you get to a certain MMR, usually D2-3+, you'll start to get even games more frequently. Platinum is mostly you having to make sure you absolutely stomp your lane opponent, which is harder to do for someone like me for example, who's mid dia material due to decision making and macro play, not because of my mechanics or how often I destroy my lane opponent. You just have to grind through and the skill difference will eventually show...
: 52% win rate most of the season and still can't climb out of B5 - B4
Since I see that you played a lot of games and still find yourself in Bronze, if you're really committed and serious about improving reply to this message and I'll add you in game. I can put you on the right track to climb a lot higher and a lot faster and you would on your own, if you're willing to put in the effort ( play a lot of games and do what I say ) . You have to be able to use Skype, have a good English and be online in the mornings ( 8 am - 12 pm ) during week days.

I got Diamond 2 with the old {{champion:114}} , with her "much better" rework I stayed in Plat 1 for 300 games and I eventually dropped it. I'd much rather have a worse overall champion that I can actually play, than a high skill cap champion with an overloaded kit that I'm not able to play properly. They dropped clues about reworking {{champion:50}} , I'd bet my life that they're gonna do the same to him. it seems like they release them fr lcs, then try nerf them into the ground
No, they release them for the average Joes that are either stuck in low ELO or play mostly normal games, so that they can have "fun" on overloaded hard to play champions that they can't play properly. It's all basic marketing.
: Why are your new champs so overloaded
Because Riot HATES low skill floor champions, especially low skill floor, low-medium skill cap ones. For proof check out ALL new champions and reworks. They don't care at all about people like me and many others who aren't some mechanically talented geniuses that are able to play {{champion:157}} , {{champion:92}} or {{champion:268}} at a very high level. : High %winrate = low %winrate teams
The only pattern I have noticed is that when I'm on massive winning streaks I keep getting winning teams, while when I win one game, lose one and so on, I get mostly losing teams.

: if your team has no tank and it needs one, take nautilus or sion. Don't take nautilus into ranged opponent. Sion can handle it well with his good wave clear. If your team needs magic damage or there is a darius against you in the top lane, take swain. He is good at bullying juggernauts. If there is someone like gp against you or the enemy team is fairly squishy and doesn't have a proper disengage, pick wukong. Renekton can beat almost anyone in the early game but falls off pretty hard so if you think you can win fast, pick renekton. Renekton is fairly good at stopping enemy snowball champions in the top lane. Shen is the kind of champion who just neutralizes the lane, meaning that you can't kill him but he also can't kill you. I personally do not recommend picking him at all, especially against someone like gp who will just get free farm the entire game. If there is a heavy snowball champion like riven, then shen can be a decent option.

: Lux is an easier morgana and a bit better utility wise.
Mmm, I'd argue Morgana has more utility since her E is > Lux's W and more CC. Lux fits my description in the way that she has nice waveclear with her E once you get to oneshot the wave, but she doesn't have "sure damage" since her Q is a skillshot.
Gojiraw (EUW)
: {{champion:1}} is awesome. Simple kit once you get a hang of it, great at farming due to her Q, provides a lot of utility and she does not need a lot of items to start burning everyone.
Tried her in the past, she's easy to play yes, but has really low range, weak waveclear and no survivability, it's not really what I am looking for, thanks though!
: {{champion:31}} {{champion:3}} {{champion:30}} Those fit your description quite well. {{champion:34}} {{champion:136}} Those can be tricky but due to fact I play similar Champs I'd like to mention them because I enjoy them alot.
Cho I'm not so sure about since it's not guaranteed I can land his knock up. Galio is a perfect fit , have played him a lot in the past but I'm trying to distance myself from him since he's getting reworked soon. I'll give Anivia a try, but AS? I thought of him as well but he looks too hard to play for me, I'll definetly give him a shot though

: If you are looking for Battle Mages try these {{champion:30}} {{champion:85}} {{champion:127}} {{champion:68}} {{champion:8}} Kennen and Lissandra are more like morgana (squishi but have engage and burst) and rumble vlad are more like swain ( good dmg over time and tankyness) karthus is diffrent but you also wanne move close to your enemys
thank you, tried all of them each just now. Karthus, liss, rumble and vlad seem to be really close to what I am looking for, kenny though feels like he's above my mechanical skill haha.
Hokuto (EUNE)
: Hmm, what position do you play? Swain is a mid/top while Morgana is supp/mid. If you're looking for champions that have sustain and decent damage through spells, you can try playing Vladimir in the mid or top lane. The type of champion you're looking for is really rare and only 2 champions have ''spellvamp'' (Swain and Vladimir). Other AP champs have little or no sustain (Akali being the exception but she's an assassin not a real mage). I'd suggest you try to pick up Ahri. She's simple enough yet has decent outplay potential and wave clear.
Thank you! I main top/mid.

: Some Tips for bronze and silver players for the last few games to get promoted.
You are going way too much into details imo. All you gotta know about getting better is this: 1. Don't care at all about others. Your focus should be ONLY on yourself. 2. Always press play again without thinking twice about what happened in the previous game, REFRESH your mind. If you really can't get off tilt, call your girlfriend or a prostitute, then you can play again. 3. Avoid playing late game oriented champions, soloq is all about bringing the most contribution to the team in the shortest ammount of time possible. Lee sin, elise, caitlyn or rumble, will almost always be more effective picks than the likes of skarner, amumu, jinx or gangplank, if correctly used. 4. Flaming others is pointless and won't get you any elo, mute whoever is toxic and doesn't bring any value to the team. 5. Probably the most important, KEEP UP THE PACE OF THE GAME. If the enemy team is behind, PUSH the advantage, don't give them any breathing space, get wards in their jungle, counterjungle, get picks in their jungle. And in general, always do something, always bring value to the team, suffocate the enemy team, don't give them time to farm up.

: If you know that they are going to dive you with the minion wave, just retreat. Losing a tower makes it easier to gank, or their bot lane will roam. If their bot lane roams, your support can roam with whilst you farm bot lane on your own. You know you will scale really well and giving an early tower/drake is fine. I'm happy to give 4 drakes up if it means not feeding the enemy team. Look at it like this: They take tower (500g + 150g local?) total and a drake (+6% ad/ap which is like 10-20 early game...). or They take tower (500g + 150g local) and 2 kills (600g for 2 standard kills + 300g for 2 standard kill assists) and a drake. The first one is always going to be the better choice, and the longer you are alive, the more gold/xp you can be collecting anyway. Some lanes aren't winnable, but if there are 4 mid vs 3 mid, and you freezing bot with both top laners top, the mid lane/jungle will probably have the wave clear to protect the tower in an extended siege anyway. This way you can actually farm bot quite safely if they've taken your tower and your team don't tilt after just 1 tower dropping anyway
How can I know when we are getting dived? Last game a malphite just flash ulted us, we had no wards since we were pushed, and the tower was half hp.

AoE hard CC. > > Managed to get to plat 2 as mostly support but I just don't see how I can carry games from now on. As an ADC, you have to have sick mechanics and overfeed in all your games. Otherwise a 12/0/10 top or mid laner might come and blow you up in -1 second. And unless you're premade, you can't count on your support 24/7. I know that I don't always follow my adc and sometimes recall randomly, but I at least let him know I'm going back to get a sighstone, for example. If he decides to stay and shove the lane and engage 1v2 that's his problem entirely. > > The dynamics of the duo lane are harder to synchronize when the two people are not communicating clearly. I was wondering if you would like to give it a shot duoing with me, already added you in game ^^ .
