: Letter to riot from a leaving player
Like someone posted, Riot realized they lost players after URF (assuming this is a fact)... Less players, less income. On the short run, companies don't care about the underlying problem. They care about benefits. On the long run, the underlying problem will most likely affect the income anyway. For instance, if you think URF was so great. Make/code/produce a game that is based on that concept. If the underlying problem was that players preferred URF as game mode, they will start playing your game. Good luck with the lawsuits and the marketing :p
: Disagree with most of it but I have to confess the only reason I'm posting is because OP's _constant_ misspelling of the word 'losing' has driven me slightly insane.
The OP is a grammar loose cannon :p But, I thought the misspelling of the word 'losing' was an accepted language deviation in the LoL Community...
: Hey there ! Let me clarify it for you : Your rank isn't based on your MMR or your performance. But only on your wins. If you win you gain LP, if you lose you lose LP. What's affected by MMR is the matchmaking (people who will play with you) and the amount of LP you're gonna gain or lose. * Each season, your rank gets a soft reset, in other words, it get diminished a bit (about a tier). It wouldn't make sense if each year, you need to start everything from scratch. So your friend was probably in silver last season. * You also don't lose LP in placements so only winning counts. * New player's MMR is iron 4. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
"Each season, your rank gets a soft reset, in other words, it get diminished a bit (about a tier)." Unless you sit in some Division V niche last year, MMR correlates to your rank. Most of the time. Have to test somewhere, had an account at silver I that was matched against gold3 MMR. But I did only 11 ranked matches with it last year. So my rank with that account was Silver I but its MMR was goldish 3 around. Was winning 28LP per match. If it seeds around silver 3, it means that your previous MMR matters.

: Understanding MMR
- Did you duo Q while doing placements (in any game)? - Is it your first ranked season with this account? Yes, your MMR seed is based on previous season MMR.
: See - when I was rather fresh to ranked matches I dodged a lot because of obvious reasons - especially when someone was toxic. At some poin though I picked up the habit of not giving a shit about the composition or if someone is a shithead in lobby already - therefore: not dodging at all. And as it turns out, games that would be dodgeable are more victories than losses - because everyone tries harder or whatever... I don't know.
What is so obvious? I never said it is obvious. I said that is ill-advice to advice someone to not try to learn something. Knowledge is always good. Then this person will decide if it serves its purposes. "I don't know." Still, you give advice. Dodging at promos is sometimes also advisable. But our human nature fights against it. We are programmed to take risks (specially men) and do a gamble... When sometimes the easy and correct answer is to not take the risk. Or at least, and THAT's the knowledge of the strategy to dodge: KNOW WHEN. Of course, like I said, learning takes time. Some people needs more time. They are slow-learners. Then, the time-effort invested in learning is not worth-while. But, if someone wants to rank-up in League. Learning to dodge is crucial. Also, basic maths, 1st dodge is -3LP. IT is there so you can LEARN when to dodge. It is not a coincidence.
: Do yourself a favour and don't dodge any game - ever. Just go with it - as stupid as it may feel. Especially in Silver - and I know this place all to well, climbing that shittree every season - there's absolutely no reason to dodge a bad matchup. Dodging is a really bad habit that people tend to adapt because Diamond players do it... or some shit like that. I don't know really - just don't dodge. You'll be surprised. Fact of the matter is, if you are in Silver - you won't get to LCS any time soon so better buckle up and get some experience with shit matchups ;)
Dodging is a valid strategy to earn LPs. Like all strategies, you need time to learn it. Some people need more time than others. If your goal is to rank up, learning when to dodge is crucial. Then, back on track: Each MMR bracket should have different reasons to dodge. At lower ELOs (below plat), is more important to dodge explicit toxic people in pre-lobby than a bad composition. For instance, Lux support vs Blitz support under gold has almost no guarantee impact. Why? Because most likely both players don't have a clue of their weakness and strengths... Funny enough, while I was typing this, which was theory crafting based on my observations, I decided to check this: https://champion.gg/champion/Lux/Support?league=gold https://champion.gg/champion/Lux/Support?league=plat Oh my... Blitz doesn't appear on the counter list of Lux below plat... Facts. "Fact of the matter is, if you are in Silver - you won't get to LCS any time soon so better buckle up and get some experience with shit matchups ;)" Well, I can assure you, the only way to rank up is to improve. And this guy/girl just gives you advice to NOT to improve by learning something. So yeah, following her advice would lead to: you won't get to LCS, nor you will get far away for the matter. Try to improve and learn what you are doing wrong. That's the way. Try new things. Even if it is dodging a game. If something feels stupid... Probably is stupid. Stupid people say stupid things. Smart people also. "as stupid as it may feel."

: Need advice
If you want to enjoy the game, make a new account. Perma's are forever... I can give you advice though: What people fails to realize is that, "toxic" is a label Riot put's on some players. Like you said, there is a lot of gamers that are having some issues out of the virtual world and they react negatively on the online games. Specially in games like League of Legends which environment is quite abusive. Sort out first your issues out of the game. Don't use a game to escape these issues. Don't play ranked for a while and enjoy the game as it is. If you play ranked games, try to enjoy your improvements and don't look at others mistakes. Ever. To rank up by itself shouldn't be a goal... You will get frustrated by that. Because you will reach a skill-cap where you will not improve fast enough to continue ranking up. Then you will start blaming again on teammates, but the thing is, you are not good enough to carry a game 1 vs 5. Change your mind-set to just improve personally.
: Unfair forum suspension.
You seem triggered... Really. About a game? About a forum? Consider it. By the way, for me, "triggered fairy" it is not derogatory term for gay people (only). First of all, fairies doesn't exist. Still, it is indeed derogatory. You could have said: "I can use mute button and move on. So I don't get triggered." You opt in to add "fairy". Why? Anyway. You're clearly triggered. Check on that. And yeah, power-abuse exists in all hierarchical structures. Even at LoL Forums. Deal with it. And if you think they are white knights on white-horses (the moderators), you are delusional. Same level as people who believes in fairy tales.

With coin you must stay until every single minnion dies and can't roam. Or you leave because you need to roam, the weave gets bigger, and when you get back, you get gold value of a single weave, not all the stacked ones. At this point, I am not sure if you will ever understand my idea. I hope the OP realized that your statement is valid for limited cases only, and in other cases the COIN is perfectly fine for roaming. And end all this to here. (After 3 attempts to explain it...)

> TL;DR EUNE Silver/Gold players play better and are way less toxic than EUW players Your post is pure irony (aka you didn't even realize it). By the way, are you a EUW player ir EUNE?
: Yet that does not matter. As a company you have to fullfill the GPDR demands when servicing european customers.
As I said, not a law-man versed person here. Thanks for the info.
: I lived in the US for 3 years before moving here. I'm pretty well versed on some of the ridiculous legal nonsense that exist over there, and outdated laws etc. Problem is that laws there are down to individual states, sometimes even counties (like councils), and a lot of the time the people in control at those levels of government don't tend to care to deal with the paperwork to change them. They're usually rarely enforced though, unless a police officer is ~~targeting a minority~~ in a particularly foul mood. ~~Please don't hurt me.~~
Yraco (EUW)
: Laws aren't necessarily enforced though like that. They might technically exist but in most places having sex with animals is definitely a crime, killing a Scot is also going to be called murder which you won't get out of through some law written centuries ago.
I like Scots :) I would never shot one down. I don't own a bow. I am not Englishman sir. Apparently, the law states something like: "an Englishman shoting a Scot.".
: Which isn't in effect until March 2019.
:p There you go. Just postpone it a bit. Next are only rumors... Did you know that in some states of USA it is legal to %%%% your horse but not that two human beings with same sex have intercourse? And apparently, an Englishman can shot down a Scotsman with his bow. In the present day. Given some circumstances :)

Also, this is not 100% guaranteed. But the less you type. The faster you progress. Like hf&gl and gg end game is perfect. Because most of the times, spamming chat shows some kind of mhmmmm that you still tilt over it. Just hf & gl and gg. Don't try to explain someone what s/he is doing wrong. Enjutsu (EUNE)
: The quote is about the inability to solo carry, the game was too team dependent. Gold distribution change means that one player can do a lot more than before.
And that's where I differ. I agree that Solo carry potential has increased. But in the same amount as Solo Losing. :p I agree that on SoloQ it's slightly in favor of Solo Carrying vs Solo Losing. But just because teams can't coordinate that good. So shutting down required more teamwork than pure raw 1 person doing its thing. So basically, it still the same. It really comes down to team-play. No matter if all the gold is in one basket, or distributed among all baskets.

Heres what it says about naming and shaming: ● Posts that accuse others of being toxic players in-game ● Posts accusing others of malicious activity ● Posts that accuse others of cheating or using illegal services ● Posts accusing others of trolling in the boards (there’s a report button for that) ● Posts claiming to have "reported" someone (There's no need to post this information) If you feel that ive done any of the above feel free to say so. I dont think i have.
iNMagee (EUNE)
: If an official warns me id change it. As of now i do not think its shaming in anyway since you can just hop over op.gg and check it. Atleast thats how i view the things.
We are not giving you ill advice. It is really considered naming-shaming. That doesn't mean that I am against it or disapprove it. Yeah, everyone can check op.gg. But THAT is OUT Riot forum. Do you see the difference? The problem about "official warning" is that your forum account gets marked. It doesn't cost you much to remove the names. But yeah, we give advice and you take it or leave it. It may happen that your post is not even reviewed by a moderator or official. Even so, if it is first time warning that your account will not be marked. Like I said: your call.

> And im getting reported again for things that are totally out of my control. Don't give in. That's exactly what I am telling you. Why get upset with those? Can you change them? Nop. So don't get upset. Yesterday, I was watching LLStyllez, and you know what he said about a fellow master tier NA player? Something like this: "He is a good player... But he is mentally weak." : How to keep calm and not be toxic. Advice needed.
This: >notice orn is pushing his lane >making a prediction in chat that pantheon will gank him and kill him >saying in chat he is pushing without wards >orn dies to pantheon. They don't care. You shouldn't. If he is pushing un-warded and you anticipate a gank: 1) Are you stronger in 2 vs 2? Then counter gank. Easy. Profit. 2) Are you weaker in 2 vs 2? Ward for him. If you can't ward because it screws up your pathing, ping him once or twice. 3) Don't type anything in chat. You are just losing your time (YOUR TIME) trying to teach others how to win. Just do all you CAN to win. Typing is counter-productive. When you understand that you can't change others, you will understand that it doesn't help to win games with idle chatting.

And not the OP. > It was addressed by shifting bounty and turret kill gold rewards more from a team reward to a solo reward. What do you mean exactly by "It was addressed". Precisely, what do you mean with "it".
: not losing lanes, the lanes were even, kai'sa just roamed and killed everyone
By "Losing Lanes" I mean that enemy had more gold than you. And by the way: 1 6 1 0 7 2 1 7 0 This is getting stomped. Hard. And again, watch her pathing. And try to learn something.
Enjutsu (EUNE)
: The point of the change was to increase solo-carry potential, that's what that quote is all about and it's what community asked for. Give more gold to a single player, makes that player stronger, i don't think that's counter-intuitive.
> "It's SO MUCH easier for one person to lose the game for the team than it is for one person to carry the game to a victory." Despise I don't agree with this. Putting all the golden eggs in one basket, means that if someone steal your basket, you are screwed. It is obvious that on a non-organized environment as SoloQ, shutting down that one "basket" is harder done than said. But: It is even harder to solo carry as solo lose the game. With this change. Basically because you are carrying by gold difference (on an even skill match-up), and if the gold is accumulated on 1 player, the opposed team has easy time to shutdown 1 player instead of 5. Or, one mistake on a rather flawless mistake of that fed player can even cost the game. So no. The state of the game is not what the OP states. Nor the opposite. OP just failing to understand a meta (strategic) change. But that is my opinion.
: GOOD JOB RIOT, U SCREWED UP THIS META
3 (hard) losing Lanes: 1 6 1 0 7 2 1 7 0 Review the game and check her pathing. You can learn a lot. If you stop whining. Watch her. Not you. My 5 cts.
Enjutsu (EUNE)
: I don't really understand your question. It's not exactly a choice how many you can shutdown, not necessarily everyone will have a bounty on their head.
Is it not easy to shutdown only a player rather than 5? Implying that giving the most gold to a player instead of spreading it, the effect is counter-intuitive. It is more easy to carry as 1 player, BUT it is also more easy to LOSE as 1 player. That was my question.
Enjutsu (EUNE)
: I don't think people understand what that actually means and considering you posted this i would say you don't know this was already addressed too. It was addressed by shifting bounty and turret kill gold rewards more from a team reward to a solo reward.
Mhmmm If the gold-bounty goes to just one player (for the most part of it). Does it not help to shutdown 1 person instead of 5? Just wondering.

It's perfectly Ok for a hetero couple to hold hands and walk down the street, but the minute a LGBT+ couple does it, it's considered "shoving it in your face". It's a double standard that happens literally all the time. Almost all love interests on TV are heterosexual, but the minute it's not, it's become "over sharing, personal should be personal". The level of hypocrisy in this argument is.. well very high? >The moment u decide to victimise urself and get special rights and demand me to like you, thats when u lose my respect Victimise? Shall we go over decades of hate crimes committed against the LGBT+ community? There's no special rights. Literally, all was asked for was equal rights. I'd love to hear what special rights I'm entitled to. > As long as im not hurting anyone i aint doing something wrong. Surprisingly, your words can hurt people. Especially if its one that's historically used as a slur towards a certain group. I'd encourage you to use it at your place of work towards your colleagues if you believe otherwise, and let me know what results it yields.
