It's impossible to get to diamond with a 45% winrate. You can get to diamond and then down your winrate to 45%, but that's about it. And by lowering it that low, you'd most likely fall out of diamond, back to platinum.

**_TL;DR: For the safety of your account, your password should: 1. Be UNIQUE (don't use it for any other account). Password managers are easy to use (and free) and can help you with this. 2. Be 10 or more characters long. 3. Contain numbers (1234567890) and symbols (`~!@#$%^&*()_+-=[]\;',./}|:"<>?).** ------------------------------------------- Do some research and download a password manager (Some decent ones are available for free). Use it to generate and store a strong and unique password that includes digits and symbols. A 10-character password (with digits and symbols) is basically highly unlikely to get broken (it takes nearly 3000 years to brute force on one computer) as long as it's unique (not used for other accounts). With every extra character in the password, the time required to break it scales exponentially (a 11-character password would take approximately 100x more time to break than a 10-character password; a 12-character password would take approximately 100x more time to break than a 11-character password, and so on). A League of Legends password can be up-to 128 characters long.

And this barely scratching the damn surface
Basically buy a PC made this century. PC, not mac. Get any version of Windows 10 on it and 99.9% of those problems just vanished away. You're welcome.

Actually, I'm not sure. I hope it is, but I have a feeling since it's using another map (that our new clients most likely doesn't have downloaded), it probably isn't in the rotation. Also, I assume Ascension would be the rotating mode, not Dominion itself. But that'd be cool too.

It's like you think everyone cares about elo, I don't and my account activity easily proves it. In any case I've already filed a lawsuit and we'll see how it goes after the new years.
You filed a lawsuit against a multi billion dollar company when you clearly signed the Terms of Use when you made your account, which clearly state that you don't own that account in the first place? That's not a very smart thing to do.... The reality of the matter is that a 10-character password that contains digits and symbols (example: ab14&252@2) takes almost 3000 years to brute force on one computer, in 2020, according to [this website that estimates password cracking times](https://www.betterbuys.com/estimating-password-cracking-times/). So the reality is that you're to blame for whatever happened here. Whether you gave your information away or simply used a leaked password or an unsecure one. Edit: Here it is, you've agreed to this when you created your account (read the whole thing [here](https://eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/legal/termsofuse), if you wish): https://imgur.com/a/LdMSx09

: Do you think that people as low as gold would understand this ?
They'd understand it, but you'd probably get reported for "hacking". Most people in Gold or below, won't understand that someone cares so much about that match that they'd track summoner spells. This is mainly done by the support or jungler (people who afford to take 2s away from laning to type it out without getting punished too heavily) But to give you a quick rundown of how it's done: 1. Enemy mid flashes, you check what his flash cooldown is, add it to the current timer, and type in the time his flash will be back. 2. Paste the previous string of timers (CTRL + V). 3. Select all (CTRL + A). 4. Copy the new string (CTRL + C).
: > A generated 128-characters (limit for league of legends) password with numbers and special characters is technically impossible to brute force or guess. The average QWERTY keyboard has about 100 possible characters on it (according to google). So for a 128-character password that would mean there are 100 at the power of 128 possibilities (which equals to a number with 256 zeros). Now, I don't know how much time it would take to try that many combinations, but I can safely say if all the computers in the world would work on that, and nothing else, for 100 years, they wouldn't get anywhere close to finishing. That's true, but: 1. Most people are not going to use 128 character passwords. 2. Attackers aren't really attempting to break 128-character passwords so much as they are just finding username/password combinations that have already been broken and attempting to log-in with them. Due to the above, the main thing isn't necessarily password complexity that needs to be improved (although not having a very common password would be good), but password uniqueness. I could have a really bad password for League, but as long as I didn't use it anywhere else, the likelihood is my account would not be breached, especially since your username and summoner name are different things (and your username should never be revealed to anyone else).
Definitely. But if you use a password manager, you might as well use the maximum allowed password length for maximum security. You wouldn't want your account to get hacked in 3 billion quadrillion years from now, would you? {{sticker:sg-miss-fortune}}

Thanks for the reply. You're right. A password manager will definitely do, but hopefully one day we'll also have a 2FA system. : And you're trying to convince a Database engineer that you don't have logs of changes done on the account that would easily prove that's not the case? Or do you simply choose to ignore the proof? So, what you're saying is, for some reason I flipped a switch in my brain, turned on a VPN to appear on some other country and I changed the settings of my game, booted up a ranked game (which I almost never do) and played a champion I almost never play in normal games let alone ranked, then right afterwards decided to change my password (which you can see on your end was done almost an hour before the ban). All of that just so I can cheat once on a 5 year old account? Do you realize how outrageous your logic is? Also as a company you're also responsible for your user's safety by providing them with security options like 2FA which you don't provide. Literally both of your arguments would fail in a heartbeat in a lawsuit.
Hansiman is just saying that you most likely bought a boost from Gold 1 to Platinum 5 and the booster got you banned. Which is impossible to prove by Riot. But that's a lot more likely scenario than a hacker going through the trouble of hacking you, just to get you banned on purpose. > [{quoted}](name=Chessbraino,realm=EUNE,application-id=NzaqEm3e,discussion-id=sAXchTP3,comment-id=000200000000000000000000,timestamp=2019-12-25T21:19:01.588+0000) > I literally just told you that support said that even though it wasn't me I am not getting unbanned. : You don't have to explain to me what bruteforce is lol. Also bruteforce is not from the 1980s it's just that people realized it's better to use a library attack or something of similar nature than to go through every single combination, it's still bruteforce simply smarter. Anyways 1. didn't happen as I don't share shit. 2. it wasn't simple, 3.only League uses this password (all other have been changed literally years ago). And of course it's been pwned, almost every email on the planet has been pwned one way or another even they say just because it's pwned doesn't mean you're 100% compromised. In any case it doesn't matter. They already told me that even though it wasn't me they won't unban me. So yea, great support :)
Ok then. I guess someone paid a professional hacker on the dark web to "library attack" your gold league of legends, EUNE btw, account and get it banned within 2 games. If support didn't offer help, it means there's more to the story than you're telling us.

: Well I've got better things to do than to attempt scripting or w/e, not to mention I rarely ever play ranked after getting gold (because I only play ranked for end of season rewards). I never give out my username and password to anyone, not even my closest friend. So, I am pretty sure that wasn't the issue. Not to mention that I am 25, my friends aren't exactly little kids who would do something like this. Whoever got in, changed my quick cast settings, changed my UI scale etc... Why would I do that for just 1 game then revert everything back + change my password? And I agree, it's not like my account is some crazy good challenger or has a lot of money invested in it... Which is also another reason why I am confused as to why someone would hack this account in particular.
The kind of hacking you're thinking of (brute forcing) is highly unlikely to happen, especially for something like league (which only allows you a limited number of attempts before it locks you out). Brute forcing is something from 1980s hackerman movies, the same movies that show a black/neon green console/terminal and text getting written in it at the speed of light. It is a legit hacking technique, it's just outdated by a few centuries by now. The realistic scenarios we're looking at, if you're saying the truth are: 1. You gave someone your password or someone that knows you simply guessed it (middlename+birthyear type of password). 2. You use a simple password (username: hashbrown and password: hashbrown123). 3. You used the same password in many other places and it got pwned (leaked) from somewhere else, and someone simply made a script that tries all the leaked combinations of usernames/emails and passwords. This happens more often than you think. In fact, if you check your email on haveibeenpwned.com, i'm almost certain you'll find it has been pwned.

: Smurfing on ranked should be bannable
The main issue low elo players have is that they don't understand the following concept: Player A is a Darius one-trick player hard stuck in Silver 3. He's played 4194923191 games on Darius along the years. Player B is a jack of all trades, master of none, also hard stuck in Silver 3. This is **you**. The Darius will most likely demolish you in lane, because he's simply played that match-up a lot before and he's good at laning with Darius. And you'll go 0-15 because he'll snowball on you. The Darius, might be good in lane, but his map awareness and macro skills are trash, so he'll end up losing a lot of games, even if he stomps on the enemy laner. Considering how many smurfs there really are out there, each time you think you got smashed by a smurf, even if they tell you they're a smurf (to tilt you), it's a lot more likely that they're just a Player A, while you're a Player B.

I heard this low percent of high elo discussion before. Consider my point in which I say I don't have the hours necessary to make up for a loss against a smurf. You also have to take into consideration that a plat player in silver is still stomping and really annoying to deal with. Also consider the morale break on a player losing 0/15 to a smurf player (or team, because they also duo sometimes).
No offence, but if you're playing 3-4 games a day, truly care about ranked and you stay stuck in Silver, you've got bigger problems than smurfs.
: Chat restrict isn't always cause someone was being a %%%%, it can also just be because your bot is blaming you for everything or smth like that. Trying to get innocent people banned is a little bit different than responding to actual ******'s in-game.
Nobody ever got chat restricted by not saying anything offensive in chat. So that can't be further away from the truth.
: Game is dying?
The game has been definitely getting worse in my opinion. I don't think it will actually completely die in the next 10 years, but they've been making a lot of bad decisions lately (from the introduction of prestige skins, to the removal of the winter map, to releasing annoying champs with overloaded kits (literally 99% of the champions released lately are like that), to giving horrible compensation to players when stuff goes very bad, to trying to silence the community (they just removed 2 threads on reddit that had 1000+ upvotes related to the EUW problems in the past hour)... So they're definitely getting a lot greedier and taking some bad decisions).

DELDE115 (EUW)
: Its kinda funny how Vel`koz is a great "support" because he deals damage rather than utility like reliable CC or shields, or heals or tankiness. Its almost like Vel'koz was designed to be in an offensive solo lane role located between toplane and botlane. Just like Brand, weird :p Real support players don't count Vel'koz as a support. We focus on abilities, not damage. Damage is for carries, not supports. And then Rito created Pyke an all out damage assassin, who gives gold to teammates by KSing thus being a real support, he also has aoe dash stun which is a great support ability :o ____ Im being picky like this on purpose btw. But I tend to agree with OP, supports should be the only ones in the support role, otherwise, why on earth do we have supports if tank toplaners and ap midlaners can do better? Its the same way when a support champion goes midlane or toplane (like Lulu). Why pick a real solo lane champion when a support can apparently do more damage than a solo laner and tank more than an actual tank.
The reality of the game right now is that you can't do much against a damage-based support right now. Leona should be a counter to Vel'koz, right? Since she can ult him and hard engage. Well, that's where we're all wrong. Because Vel'koz can use his kit to keep Leona away as long as she doesn't have her ult, and if he builds full AP (which they always do), they can straight up solo kill the Leona if she drops below 80% health. So in that aspect, since the sightstone costs less than before, you can't really play a real support champion (god forbid you pick a squishy support). Hell, the hardest match-up I've played this season botlane was Pantheon + Jarvan. With the addition of the new bushes botlane (they get closer to the turrets than ever before), as long as they clear your vision, you can't even get past your turret after level 2. You get Jarvan EQ'd into a Pantheon stun, and I don't care who you are, but as a low level squishy botlane champion, you're not surviving that. And they just snowball out of control. Once they get their ults, it's even more ridiculous. Since the second you see Jarvan, panth ults behind you, stuns you, and jarvan can easily close the distance. Riot messed up bot lane hard, and I'm sure it'll show when LCS and LEC start.

There definitely were more winners than the rewards. Bummer, I'm 100% sure I answered everything right and didn't get a reward. Eh, can't be helped. At least I learned some lore. On the topic of lore, any clue if the Realms of Runeterra will get pushed to more countries? The only place I can currently pre-order it from (bookdepository) in my country, costs significantly more than it costs in NA (27.5 euros compared to 23 USD (which is about 21 euros) on Amazon.
: Congratulations to all of the winners! A quick question, would it be possible to reveal the score of the other participants? I'm pretty sure most of us are excited and curious to see on how we did :D

I'm pretty sure most of us are excited and curious to see on how we did :D That won't happen, cause I got all the answers right and i'm not on that list, so there'd be a lot of drama :P
: 🎃👻 Volunteer Halloween Quiz 👻🎃
Any ETA on the results? Also, I'm pretty sure you guys will have a lot more winners than the rewards haha.

: How am I supposed to ward ?
Welcome to the rift. I'm not the best at it myself but I'll give you my 2 cents. There's a big difference between warding and efficient warding. Warding depends on many factors: which side of the map you're on, which role you're playing, whether you're winning or losing at that particular moment, what other wards there are currently placed, where the enemy jungler currently is on, what the next big objective is, what champion you're playing, what champions your direct opponents are playing, and so many other things... The main assumption around wards is that you will not die 1v1 or 2v2 on your lane, so you'll want to use wards to prevent an unfair fight (jungle ganking or another laner ganking). If you spot the enemy coming to your lane, you can back off and avoid getting caught off-guard. Let's start with **Control Wards** {{item:2055}} (also known as pink wards): Control Wards have two main purposes: 1. Denying the enemy vision. 2. Granting you long-term vision. If your control ward doesn't deny enemy vision and it's likely to die quickly, you should be using a regular ward instead. Ideally, at a medium to high skill level (I'd say Gold ranking is a good point to start) you want to have a control ward placed and one in your inventory at all times (or at least 50-75% of the time). Vision is very important if you and your team know how to play around it (a very basic example is: your team spots the enemy jungler in the botside jungle and rush baron). Each lane has somewhat safe spots where you can place a Control Ward in order to spot the enemy jungler and avoid dying to a gank: Some good control warding spots when you're blue side (mostly for laning phase): https://imgur.com/yck8JTL https://imgur.com/MgnLB1G https://imgur.com/a/h4VKTkC https://imgur.com/a/TSIuyEG https://imgur.com/a/sLNKgfN https://imgur.com/a/ThVfmsQ https://imgur.com/a/uarWlez Some good control warding spots when you're red side (mostly for laning phase): https://imgur.com/a/6WGujee https://imgur.com/a/P6VyEaB https://imgur.com/a/AIgy7hc https://imgur.com/a/10kVAz6 https://imgur.com/a/T4dKAOV The dot brushes in the river are also common control ward places, but I find these are more often than not checked by the enemy team and easily cleared out (they're not bad spots, they can be very effective as the cover the entire width of the river, but just expect them to be cleared rather quickly): https://imgur.com/a/sRuBtxK https://imgur.com/a/9xE527H Keep in mind some of the locations I've shown above are deep in enemy territory and shouldn't be placed blindly. Getting caught off and killed while placing a ward isn't a good excuse. But if you pass by one of those spots after a team fight and you have a ward available, you should definitely place them there. And one last note on control wards: If you're playing support, it's generally expected for you to have a Control Ward ready for dragons and baron. As for regular wards {{item:3340}}, you generally want to use them in spots where you expect the enemy jungler (or whoever else might come to disturb your lane) to pass by. Having control wards in the spots I mentioned, makes it easier to cover all the possible paths the enemies might be invading your lane through. As for timing, if you're playing top lane for example, and you just saw the enemy jungler on the bot side, you shouldn't spend your ward charge right then and there. Wait a few seconds. The main reason you place regular wards is to spot the jungler so if you already know where he is, there's no point wasting the ward charge. Lasting words: Warding is important but if you're dying 1v1 or 2v2 (Very common in iron, bronze, silver and even gold), you're better off playing safer and not spending that gold on wards that won't change the outcome of your lane. The more you play, the better you'll get at things like this.
: what the actual %%%%
I still don't understand how people not only don't stop talking in chat altogether after their first ban, but they keep being toxic. Riot doesn't just perma ban people. You definitely were banned before so you should've known this was coming your way.

: This Game is literally the very worse.
Just reading a few lines of the text you wrote here, I can tell your ban was well deserved. Getting customers like you off the rift, makes customers like me, happy. Toxicity is a major problem that definitely extends outside of the game, and you truly can't control your reactions and behaviour, you should go see a specialist.
