: League of Legends Classic
Gets talked about a lot though. There is an official statement somewhere i read it last year. Said it's not out of question, but they will focus on other things in next future. My guess it won't come until they don't find any more ways to milk money out of this game *cough* eternals *cough* which from a business point of view makes sense of course. Popular games do it all the time right now (look WoW classic) but you gotta wait until it will generate the most money.

: Have you actually counted them? I've been counting impactful AFKs for a while, and including even the partial AFKs I get a tally of about 49 instances (would include both my team and opponent team) in my last 1000 ARAM games. That's 5 % instead of 95 %. I suggest you just might be having an unlucky streak where the frequency seems emotionally draining, yet if you just have patience it will balance out.
You are probably right about the emotionally draining thing haha. But i think we just have different definitions of afk. When i talk about afks, i not only talk about full game disconnects. I talk about the guys who come in 5 min later or go afk in the middle of the game for like 5 minutes to take a call, go smoke i don't know what they are doing. **The thing is:** On summoners rift going afk for some min does not as much damage as on Howling Abyss because the average game time is MUCH higher. The average game time on aram i would say is about like 15-20 minutes so staying afk at the beginning for straight 5 minutes is more then 25% of the games time! In that time the enemy team already has taken at least 2 towers and snowballs the rest of the game. You cannot play "safe" like on Summoners Rift, where every lane just hugs the tower and gives the enemy team no chance to snowball the game while waiting for your afk to come back. This doesn't work on Howling Abyss in most cases (let's assume both teams have an equally good comp). Another thing: Like everyone says all the time: Aram is a fun mode. People want to have fun. The most players will not care about being outnumbered in aram and will fight 4v5 nonetheless and i can totally understand that, because no one likes to wait behind your second tower until your %%%%ing afk comes backs (while you don't know how much time he will take!! You don't know if he will be afk for 2 or 5 minutes). So people fight 4 v 5. The other team gets a huge lead and can snowball the rest of the game even if the afk comes back. Conclusion: Being afk even a short time on aram does a lot more damage then on Summoners Rift.

: sadly a lot of people pay for boosts / or duo with smurfs this means they get ranks they should not have and the only way for riot to sort it is to dump everyone in bronze/silver based on the theory that if you are good enugth to get plat/diam and higher you can do it again

It was not overheating. The Power Supply was broken and wasn't able to give enough power for High-Graphics-Games like LoL
