: What Champion best suites my name?
Maybe consider {{champion:92}} , you'll be heated all game.
DarkKooky (EUW)
: That's the problem, I didn't dodge. Otherwise I would be fine.
If you didn't dodge just write a Support Ticket and they'll probably give you the amount of LP you're missing. Had something similar with a canceled game sometime.
Paracord (EUW)
: Sylas.... Really Riot
Because that is what comes when you have an always evolving game like League of Legends. Why would people buy the "newest champion" if the champion only had a simplistic kit? It's ridiculous sometimes but they just want to make money somehow and if there are champions with either better or the same kit already, nobody will be interested in purchasing the new ones.
: These topics have been talked out. #Old School Mode Riot’s point is that since the game’s code / engine has changed a lot since, it would take too much effort for something that could be only fun for a few games. >“We can’t just pull in old data and expect the current game engine to play nice with it all. We could almost certainly make it work if we had a bunch of smart engineers working to make it happen, but then those engineers would not be working on other features that might be more valuable to you guys in the long run. Likewise, we could have designers create versions of existing champs that tried to mimic the old data (Season Two abilities, items, tuning, etc.) **but that’s a mountain of work for something that might only be fun for a few games or so. In other words, the opportunity cost of that work is probably pretty expensive**.” _Source:_ [_Ask Riot: Classic Mode_](https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2017/05/ask-riot-classic-mode/) –- #1v1 battles There was a mode called “Snowdown Showdown”, which was similarly played on ARAM, and the first team to kill 100 minions, draw the first blood, or destroy the first enemy turret would win. According to Riot, this mode “just didn’t work out.” >“The 1v1 Snowdown Showdown game mode was a mode that just didn’t work out. The idea of it seemed fun, but it was spectacularly unpopular when we released it. Maybe there’s an execution of it that could be more compelling than version 1.0, but it would need to undergo some serious surgery, and that just doesn’t feel worth it when compared against making newer modes like Blood Moon. >This mode actually ended up working a lot better as a viewing experience for tournaments or esports events (like All-Stars). I feel like it will continue to have a home there (it’s also fun to watch pros battle it out 1v1!).” [_Source: Ask Riot: SNOWDOWN SHOWDOWN AND PRO KILLS_](https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2017/04/ask-riot-snowdown-showdown-and-pro-kills/)

: Greetings, I like both of the ideas but for the classic mode Riot said: We looked at doing this recently for a series of internal playtests, because we wanted to experience first-hand whether things like pacing or counterplay felt very different a few years ago. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to easily get the older builds running because so much of the game content and code has changed. We can’t just pull in old data and expect the current game engine to play nice with it all. We could almost certainly make it work if we had a bunch of smart engineers working to make it happen, but then those engineers would not be working on other features that might be more valuable to you guys in the long run. Likewise, we could have designers create versions of existing champs that tried to mimic the old data (Season Two abilities, items, tuning, etc.) but that’s a mountain of work for something that might only be fun for a few games or so. In other words, the opportunity cost of that work is probably pretty expensive. So philosophically, we aren’t opposed to playing an older version of LoL, and it might be fun for a short period of time (because we might very well discover that the reasons we made all of the Season Three, Four, and Five changes still exist), but there is a good chance it’s not worth the development effort that it would take. https://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/2017/05/ask-riot-classic-mode/ {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}

: They dont think its so more important to say in every patch detailed what is changed except for buffed, nerfed, adjusted champs and runes and about showing what skin is new in patch. All other changes are there for us to find and they are not so important to mention. They even didnt announce new cursor and option to go legacy, why should they tell us about brightness after all.
and considering they only change like 1-3 things every second patch they shouldnt have a problem with writing it into the patchnotes in my opinion
: they announced the new cursor. brightness is also important, for people that are vision impaired like people that are colorblind. although there is a colorblind mode, the brightness can affect it.
I am colorblind and for me personally the brightness adjustions are completely uneccessary. I just noticed that when using an ability that you can cast multiple times (Riven Q, Aatrox Q, Ahri R), that the icon would have some sort of brightness transition from a little bit more black and white to its normal color and that can really confuse you, once you noticed it and pay attention to it.

: The thing is: If Riot put in AR URF - Then you'll have people complaining about it not being fair to pick their own champ and how they never get anything they want If Riot put in URF - Then you'll have people complaining about having the same spam champs in every game and then people will be saying how bad URF is because of how unfair the team comps are - Eg/ Veigar picked every game xD No matter what Riot would have done, someone will be upset or complain about it - Riot just can't win xD
they should just add URF as an option for custom games = project solved. (pretty sure most people would play URF custom games instead of ARURF tho)
Shukr4n (EUW)
: well...URF would have been better choice. no enough for patching..
theyll never release it again. sadly
Febos (EUW)
: Correct. I played every iteration of URF, ever since it's inception (where bans weren't a thing). In URF you'd **always** see **at least** one of the following: {{champion:17}} {{champion:35}} {{champion:76}} {{champion:99}} {{champion:28}} {{champion:6}} {{champion:57}} {{champion:37}} {{champion:90}} {{champion:81}} That's a list of 10 champions. I repeat, you'd always see **at least** of them. More often than not it was 4 of those. There was almost no variety in URF because everyone picked the same exact thing game, after game, after game. You want to know why? Because we like to win, so we pick what's "meta". However, URF is supposed to be a "fun" gamemode. Where's the fun in always seeing the same thing? With ARURF at least you see some variety. *** My suggestion: an hybrid. Each player bans 1 champion **they don't want** in the game, for whatever reason. Maybe they don't want to play it or play against it. Then the Random Selection happens it can follow the rules it has now; two rerolls per player (1 reroll resets every game). All champions unlocked.
Im sure they are aware of that and still - they disabled/removed regular URF from custom games because it would probably be more played than ARURF. Pretty sure they didnt remove it because people were complaining theyd see the same champs over and over again. URF is one of the IMO unfunniest gamemodes of all time. The only fun part of it is creating teamcomps that work well together (only buff champs, only tanks, only adc, etc.) Riot took that away so URF kinda died for me

: so whatttttttttttt? you have 63 champs that you can get what's so bad ? you guys only complain nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn omg riot make urf permanent the omg riot meta was set in urf and we can play only 2 or max 4 champs or we lose omg riot why random pikssssssssssss omg rior why christmas theme give us others modesssssssss the omg riots why other mods we want urfffffffffff you kids today got so spoiled and complain about everything, every tv series every movie every game always expect updates and patches for everything, omg it's too hard it's to easy you fail to enjoy because you have too much at your disposal and got spoiled and bored and just complain ruining everything nothing can be fun anymore because of nagging all time instead of just enjoy, it's a fun mode with christmas theme JUST ENJOY IT or move the freckles of!!!!!
Sorry but I really don't understand what your problem with this is. I was naming reasons why I would prefer regular URF above ARURF (I don't even want regular URF to replace ARURF I am completely fine with both modes). I was just simply naming reasons why it sucked for me People like you that probably don't even completely read our feedback complain only because you guys are one-sighted and probably prefer ARURF over URF. The only people being 'kids' are the ones complaining about the people that are posting constructive and informative feedback to Riot Games, a company that wants to improve. So if you can't deal with other people's oppinions please leave the Boards and stop spreading hate and negativity to the people who clearly have to confess something about League of Legends. Thank you.
: same here, thats what i get from trying something in beta..
So basically to get out of it (if you haven't managed to do so until now) you need a friend to create a team and invite you. When you receive a invitation and accept it you will asked whether you wanna leave your current team or not. Just click on Leave team and you should be good to go again! Best regards, Luke

: Wasn't it meant to be so that you could actually check the honor level of others? Guess it's coming in the future.
If you go on a different persons profile and hold your cursor over the Not-shown honor symbol it will say that you're not able to see others honor progress.

Alright, I hope so too! Thanks!
Fathands (EUW)
: I really don't get why Riot doesn't just give people fresh level 30 accounts if they want to smurf. You'd shut out smurfs from low levels. You'd solve the botting problem in low levels/ARAM.
People would maybe abuse this and go into ranked and only feed since they can just create another lvl 30 account again anytime for free. This wouldn't actually accomplish much and trust me there are enough people to do that. Also all ranks from Bronze-Gold would lose value since everybody could try to do their placements as often as they want until they reach high Gold to low Platinum.
Perilum (EUW)
: The thing about smurfs is not to level a new account as fast as possible. It's about stomping newbies and bad players to boost their own self esteem. Your propose would change nothing.
I personally don't think people use it to push their own self esteem but rather try to play their placement games again, trying to receive a higher rank than on their main (this would make sense for most Bronze-Silver players).
Enjutsu (EUNE)
: Smurfs face other smurfs. Riot mentioned that they can detect smurfs after only few games.
Still the bonuses could help people climb faster I think.
Rípley (EUW)
: Easiest and fastest solution is to let new accounts be lvl 30 instantly, then require a set amount of normal games to be completed roughly equal to the number of LP required for 3 rune pages with tier 3 runes. _Yes, I'm well aware that number can be reduced by buying a boost, it still changes nothing._ The leveling process in this game serves 0 purpose other than have people grinding LP, the only thing you learn is how to role call and shout report, and generally be abusive.., heck, even the tutorial does a piss poor job at teaching players.
I think being level 30 instantly is a good idea to stop account selling but it can be used by trolls to feed in Ranked while I don't think many people would level an account and then get it banned.
Rioter Comments
: Free runes?
Riot wouldn't lose anything in case runes were free except if a player purchases a IP Boost since Riot doesn't make cash out of IP deals such as Tier 1-3 Runes. Their only money source on getting Runes are the Rune pages. I indeed think a Free-Rune-System would make sense.
: Was the text you're referring to a yellow message in the chat box? If so, thats not a bug, thats just one of your friends' pathetic attempt at a joke. Ignore it.

: AR URF and URF
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0q5C4lUPUo This is pretty much what I think
Atira (EUNE)
: I think what RIOT really should do is just simply give us a choice in the match select. There are a lot of people who like ARURF and there are a lot of people who like Normal URF, the solution is easy. ***Just give us BOTH***. Just like at the Normal Summoners Rift there is Blind and Draft, why not just give URF the same, where you can choose Normal or All random.
> [{quoted}](name=Attila Nagy,realm=EUNE,application-id=Mpd1UjGe,discussion-id=vBz8JcAR,comment-id=0003,timestamp=2017-03-03T18:56:25.393+0000) > > I think what RIOT really should do is just simply give us a choice in the match select. > There are a lot of people who like ARURF and there are a lot of people who like Normal URF, the solution is easy. > ***Just give us BOTH***. > Just like at the Normal Summoners Rift there is Blind and Draft, why not just give URF the same, where you can choose Normal or All random. That's something I don't expect from Riot to happen (it actually is the solution) but I mean something like that just isn't **their style** Riot does what they want to do. I play league for god knows how long and I've never noticed any kind of an community voting or something you know? The idea is good and it is how I see things too but Riot won't do anything like that (from my expirience) Well, let's **hope** they'll do it.
: Why LeaverBuster ?
Riot probably doesn't care xD I had the same one season ago and I know it sucks but I'm sure there won't be much response :/. Sorry Bro
Infernape (EUW)
: And that's the problem with running a game like League. You are never going to satisfy everyone. You end up having to cater to the masses over the minorities.
> [{quoted}](name=FurorDivinus27,realm=EUW,application-id=Mpd1UjGe,discussion-id=vBz8JcAR,comment-id=000000000000,timestamp=2017-02-25T22:14:30.363+0000) > > And that's the problem with running a game like League. You are never going to satisfy everyone. You end up having to cater to the masses over the minorities. So it would be the best idea to make 2 queues since the community would play them both. Also URF is really rare and special - they don't spam us with URF - and then it is finally there for 1 or MAYBE 2 weekends and I am not able to play the Champions I want to :/
Strigina (EUNE)
: Or just put both of them into rotating game modes so we can have URF one weekend and ARURF another.
That would be one possibility. But to be honest I dont think Riot would ever listen to some no names...
Doomley (EUW)
: >and for the people who hated URF (which probably aren't too much xD) Just so you know, ARURF is more popular than the normal urf. >The new URF (AR URF) is unbalanced because it is just about luck what (champion) you get. I think it's better to randomly get a champion that might not be top tier in urf and still have a chance to win with it because the enemy champions are random too than to automatically lose if you try to pick something that is not the top 20 urf champs. In short, it's better to have a change at winning than no chance at all. Your point is invalid.
But still, my suggestion is to make 2 types of queue so everyone is satisfied because it basically always seems that riot keeps the changes the way they want it and not how the community wants it. So people who are rid of unbalanced teams can go in AR URF or opposite
