: If it was the fault of riot accidently leaked your login information you wouldnt be the only one affected by it. So the likely hood that it was compromised security is so slim that that argument is kinda invalid at this point. The most likely way for you getting hacked was either 1. a bad password(I read that your password was 8 digits) but that does not mean a good password. AAAAAAAA is not a good password for example even though it has 8 digits. 2. you entered the information into a sketchy site such as free RP sites or other forms of scamming/fishing sites. 3. you use the same password in league as something else and that information got leaked. Riot is not to blame here. They are way to careful about leaking information such as login credentials that this would almost never happen(happend once, due to hacking) but since the boards arent flooded like that time with people being banned for " no reason" or that they got hacked it does not look like thats the case
I am done with this game I thought I would start playing again. Not worth the effort
: Give your acc to your grandchildren. They will survive till 2203 unless Trump or South Korea nukes the earth They will get to challenjeur Profit

: Well I guess I've found the answer to my question.. It says this on my email "Due to the severity of this violation, your League of Legends account has been banned until Sat Jan 01 11:11:11 UTC 2203" I'll be dead by then.. lmao however I have no idea what the person did on my account and I'm kinda curious about it. But ye I didn't log in this game for like 3/4 years played it once or twice so it's fine it's just the fact that I got hacked kinda sucks imo.
Security at riot sucks and they are too ignorant about it.
: So you want to tell me that you where at the hostel 100% of the time? Besides. You agreed 100% to this being an outcome. You agreed to the rules. Thats like me signing a contract that says I get to lend a car for a week, and when that week has passed and I have to give back the car I get mad at the person i lended the car from because he took back his car?
I agreed for suspending my account for my fault but not for compromised security
: VPN =)
everything is blocked at hostel, even VPNs
: You had access to a computer right? If that's the case I don't see how you would be unable to change your password
because hostels have proxy server to block games

: So let me get this straight, you used an easily guessable password, and probably didn't even verify your email, and now you're blaming riot for doing their job? ???????
verified Email and got a decent password

: Riot has to treat everyone the same way, and not provide some people with special treatment. Account security is your own responsibility. A common reason people lose their accounts is either entering their credentials on a phishing site since they think they're getting free stuff, or they're using the same login and password on an unprotected site that had a database leak. If your account has been used in activities that leads to permabans, that's your responsibility, as per the terms that you've agreed upon when creating the account in question.
what if I didnt do any of those and still my account got banned?
: Hello, I understand your disappointment, but at the same time the support employee was right. It was your responsibility to keep your account safe. There is litterally no way how your login credentials could have leaked out of Riot's database without it happening to a huge amount of other players. That only leaves the option that *you* accidentally leaked your login credentials. Maybe there was spyware installed on your pc, maybe you entered your credentials on a 'free rp' website or you shared your password with a friend who turned out to be a bad friend. Maybe you used the same password for League as for another account, of which the database got hacked, resulting in your public password being used for other accounts. All of those scenarios are much more likely than that Riot handled your password without care. Of course this doesn't change anything about the fact that you have lost your account, but you can't simply blame it on someone else.
Riot is not even giving me a benefit of doubt that my account could have been hacked. Oh right how will they make more money, If I level up a new account and buy boosts

LOLking can read the database. So yea the database is not secure. While I was doing my MBA my account was getting rekt. Really my fault? I was hacked in 2016 whereas my game was uninstalled back in 2015. I didnt lose my account they banned it. Yes I blame it on Riot because they are the ones who did it. Even if there was a spyware it would have been installed because Riot server didnt protect my IP. Otherwise I live in India I got no friends who play league of legends and if someone got my IP in europe then blame RIOT
: yeah, you are responsible for your account. You messed up. GET GUD KID! MAKE THAT AKKOUNT SECURE!
I had an 8 digit password and no, no one else had the password or access to account. It was on my laptop that I took with me.
: He is right, you agreed to the rules. If you think they are unfair why accept them in the first place? Also, having a good password and not having the same username as in-game name is also a good way to keep your account safer. Changing passwords every now and then is also good!
How am I supposed to change the password when I was away studying MBA and not have access
: If your account is hacked, how did you post this.
changed Email ID and password
