: but it's the game's problems not my problems -_- and everyone knows that's not fair
Hence why I recommend troubleshooting your connection with the game servers; there's an article on Riot Support for it [available here](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752664-Troubleshooting-Connection-Issues). The system should only apply when you have a history of disconnecting or going AFK during a game; it's possible you left the game running while attending other business (such as being called by a mother or having to do a grocery run), which can all be considered along by the system for a LeaverBuster penalty. I agree it isn't entirely fair when the issue stems from connection issues, as you didn't intentionally leave your team in the lurch. However, it also isn't fair for your team mates to have to endure a 4-man game; as a result, LeaverBuster also encourages you to troubleshoot connection issues and clear up your timetable before playing, so you absolutely have an hour of uninterrupted gametime. Hope that helps, and best of luck.
: Alright , I'm going to lose my mind , a PUNISHEMENT ?
As far as I understand it, LeaverBuster only comes into effect for habitual disconnects/leaves/AFKs. You may want to troubleshoot your connection to figure out what is going awry to prevent further penalties. Only way to get rid of the penalties is by playing games without abandoning. Good luck.

: No. You can only get points if you: - Enroll on the list - **Win** a game playing the champion from the pool (+100 points) - If you win a game in premade (minimum 1 friend) you get bonus 100 points (so +200 for a win)
Time to learn Gnar, I guess. Thanks for the answer!

: What's happening to the game ?
> But we're not to blame, it's the game's fault for putting us in that state of mind. All of us. Actually false. You're responsible and accountable for any moods you have and expressions thereof. You can't justify toxic behaviour by saying it's not your fault. It is. Nothing about the game explicitly pushes you to flame others or create a negative gaming experience for others. These are decisions you make of your own volition. Often, it is because people cannot handle a competitive environment and excuse their own shortcomings by blaming others.

: His whole math is completely off :D
I'd contend that parts of his math can be correct, just the logic he uses to arrive there is incorrect. This, for example: > For the sake of easier calculations we will assume she has already stacked up the Black Cleaver Is a terrible way to make a point. "For the sake of ease, let's take the interpretation that most supports my argument" is disingenuous, but has nothing to do with bad mathematics. Just terrible logic to validate their maths.

> So she ignores 70% of Poppys 360.5 Armor right off the bat How do you arrive at that number? Black Cleaver has a max of 30% shred, so Poppy's 360 armour would be 252 after you apply BC, not 108.
: Yes me too, I spent a lot of time on my poem. And in the end it got stolen and posted elsewhere. It's really hard to copyright poems and stories...
Where did it get stolen/reposted to? The most I've had is someone writing fanfiction for my work...
: As you concluded correctly, we didn't base our decision on the upvotes those posts had on the thread. _(Because those can easily by manipulated by smurfs & friends)_ We judged them ourselves, and of course looked through every entry multiple times. We try to make this fair for everyone, but I have to agree, it's a little weird that artists get more appreciation. I don't think we're heavily biased, but an explanation I can think of is that art is simply more accessible. You have a first impression, that can tell you whether something is beautiful or not. With a story however, you'll have to finish reading it before you can really form your opinion. --- We love the poems and stories you guys submitted, and of course we don't want anyone to feel left out just because they have the "wrong" talent or skill. I'll run the idea of seperating entries a bit more. Either by asking for specific entries for a contest (only for artists, or only for writers), or by rewarding the TOP X artists and the TOP X writers. --- We're not going anywhere, and we'll make sure to deliver contests like this many times throughout the year ! We learn from every contest/ event we make, and try to make the next one even better in one way or another. So thank you and ThornlessRose for the feedback !
> I have to agree, it's a little weird that artists get more appreciation. Actually quite common. Usual contests that take both drawing and writing submissions heavily favour drawing. It's because drawings have an aesthetic appeal, and because we often see the subjects of drawings, we can judge whether they are accurate or anatomically correct. Often, we forgive slight anatomical mistakes: consider Dagia2's fourth panel in the comic, where Jinx's hand has the thumb on the opposite side (or her pinky just got that large). Consider the male's arms which are too short to uh, facilitate certain single player experiences. (See: panel after the one with just Jinx's hand holding candy) These critiques take away nothing from the observation that it's a good piece of art. We just forgive such anatomical mistakes because we observe representations and mentally fill in what we know they represent. On the other hand, telling whether a piece of writing is good requires some additional insights. You don't usually "experience" words in the way you experience visual appreciation. You can tell when a sloppy MS Paint drawing with poorly understood anatomy is bad, but telling the difference between a poorly written story and one with a medium level of understanding is harder. Hence why I used the precise wording that writers need to work harder to take spotlights off of artists. Generally, an artist's work is always more accessible and appreciable than a writer's. In that sense, each writing submission is worse than an artist's submission if it fails to bridge this gap in accessible appreciation. At the end of the day, I'm only salty my submission was downvoted and criticised as being "too lengthy" by someone. A compliment would've gone a long way, but I never did expect to win anything.
: I knowww, I'm also sad... 7 winners, but only 1 writer won. :( I'll also go for a drawing next time.
It certainly does look like you've better odds of winning when you submit a drawing instead of writing. To be fair, though: there were a total of 15 Drawing Submissions 14 Writing Submissions But only 3 or so writing submissions even reach more than 1 upvote. Either some people've gone around and downvoted other entries, or they thought the entries were bad. However, the drawing submissions received numerous upvotes, which indicates that the community felt the writers were uniformly worse than any of the people who drew. Note that one of the winners has 0 votes, which indicates the winners weren't decided by popular vote. Will we say the creators were biased towards art? I think that'd be rather mean-spirited. We can thus only conclude the writing submissions were simply uniformly worse than the drawing submissions. I would disagree, since I saw some pretty great writing submissions, but tastes differ. tl;dr writers simply need to be even better if they want to take the spotlight off artists. EDIT: Though for what it's worth, I'm rather salty too. I spent four hours on planning, writing and editing my piece, and all I got was a lousy downvote, haha.

Dang, only one writer won? I'll need to try harder next time. Congrats to the winners.

It's a love story. Sort of. If you close your eyes and dream, everything's a love story. *** “He comes, he comes!” The raw, guttural voice drew her from her reverie. Their mark left the shack downhill, with a spring to his step that hadn’t been there the day previous. Under his arm he held a package wrapped in finest silk─had she brows, she would have frowned. “Now? Do I get him now?” “Patience, dear Wolf.” Lamb trotted after the man. “Do you not find it curious, dear Wolf? His clothes are ragged, but that package─” “Blah blah blah! When do we get to chase?!” “Not now. His fate has not ended yet.” She patted her companion. “But we will follow─quietly, and calmly.” Wolf growled at the prospect, but flitted around Lamb. Together, they followed the man down the old forest path. Lamb glided over the snow, leaving no trace of her passing; with every step the man took, the snow crisped. They passed a small creek. The man took a sip from the water, and ate some bread from his pack. Lamb passed that time by reciting a poem in her head; Wolf kept asking whether now was the time. It wasn’t. The sun was already high in the heavens when they reached the village. She heard them before she saw them: children playing in the fields. Their laughter carried far. “What are they playing? Do we know the game?” “We know the game well, dear Wolf.” Lamb patted Wolf’s snout. “You will play the game with them. With her, and him. But him,” she pointed to a chubby child who was watching them play, “he is mine. Yet, now is not the time. They will grow old before we meet.” The pair passed straight through the field of children, but they did not see the Kindred among them. When the man passed, the children crowded around him. They asked about the forest, and about the hunt. They asked about his plans for the day. The man answered them all. The chubby child tugged at the package. “What’s this ‘en, Pete?” he asked. The man pulled the package away with a start. “No, nothing! Nothing. Asvil, you shouldn’t touch! What did I teach you?” “Look, observe, decide. But it’s impossible to tell what’s in it.” “Then maybe you’re not meant to know.” The man smiled, patted the boy’s head. “Maybe later.” “Weren’t we going to the forest today?” a girl chimed in. Cheers of assent followed. The man shook his head. “Yes, we are, but… not right now. I have a delivery to make.” He patted the package. “After, all right? Promise.” A chorus of disappointment answered. The children asked him about the package again, but he refused to share. The Kindred waited by the town gate. Wolf watched the people pass him by, snapping at feet and hands. It was his own little sport. Each lunge was close, but he snapped his jaws shut right before every time. Lamb watched him, but did not interfere until the man passed them by. “Come, Wolf. We continue.” They passed through the village. Lamb and Wolf followed after the man more closely now; none looked to the strange duo. Their journey came at an end at a well-kept home. It had large, glass pane windows. The only in the village. The light within was abundant, showing the large mural in all its splendor. The man hurried on through the hallway, sneaking into one of the smaller rooms. “I came, as promised!” His shout wasn’t answered, but he made himself at home still. He closed the curtains, and from his pack took five candles. He arrayed them in the room, lighting them each in turn. He cleared the table first, then took from his pack a white cloth and draped it over it. He put the package on top, pinching at its sides until it slid open. The scent of musk filled the room. “Will you come? You will, won’t you?” he called again. He took two chairs, placing each opposite the other on the table. Then he sat down in one of them, folding his hands in front of his chest. Shadows danced around the candles. He drew shapes on the table with his finger. “I love you. I love you, so you’ll come, right? This was your favourite place...” he mumbled. "I'll succeed this time. I'll succeed." *Thud.* Lamb vaulted onto the table, raising up to her full height. Wolf circled around her. The chair clattered to the floor. “Wh- what? Who? You’re-- who are you?!” The man jabbed a trembling finger at them, inched back. “What are you doing here?!” The shadows had stopped their dance, cowering under Lamb's gaze. “Is he yours, Lamb? Is he mine? Mine?” Wolf drifted closer to the man’s face, until he was inches away. “I can smell it. This one’s mine.” “So he is, dear Wolf.” “Wh, what are you talking about? Who are you?!” Lamb’s voice went cold. “We are the Kindred. You seek to take what is already ours." “You killed her?” “Her time had come. She accepted it with grace.” Lamb crouched down, draping the soft silk back over the corpse’s head. “You wish to take from us. Then, we will take everything from you." The man thudded over the wooden floor, barrelling through the door. “Now, Wolf!” He disappeared in a flurry of movement, howling with excitement. She knew already how this would end. As it always would. The eternal huntress squatted onto the table. Took the precious package into her arms. “Never weep for love that’s dead, as love is seldom true, but changes fashion from blue to red, from brightest red to blue… how did it go, again?” A blood-curdling cry, then the rustle of fur. He smelled of fresh blood. “That was fun! Are we done? Or are more to come?” “Just the one, dear Wolf. Other prey wait in other places.” He sniffed at the package she held. “She’s dead. Why’d he carry her?” “Love makes fools of mortals, dear Wolf. They fear loneliness, and so they wish to share their life with someone. It makes it hard to accept their passing.” “Loneliness… They don’t want to be alone?” “They do not. And yet, they must.” “Because they aren’t us! We’ll be together forever, won’t we, little Lamb?” She placed the package onto the table, snuffing out each candle. “Forever, and ever, and ever, dear Wolf. Forever, and ever, and ever.” Theirs was a companionship without end.

: Hey all. I don't specifically work on the team that deals with reports, but hopefully I can provide some clarity. To address point one of the OP - Calling for others to report a player is a punishable offense. It is a form of bullying and as such is against the summoner code. It should always be a personal decision for each player as to whether or not they feel another player warrants a report. In fact, do feel free to tell your team mates that "report calling" in itself counts as harassment. Flaming and bullying a player will never help them to improve their game mechanics, communication etc. Take five minutes to add someone and talk to them after game. Perhaps do some customs to help them learn a champion, or how to gank or how to use vision. To the second point of the OP - Don't worry about how many reports a player receives at the end of a given game. What's important is that if you feel a player truly deserves to be reported, that you do so. Don't feel pressured in to doing something by your team mates asking you to report a player. It's all recorded and all counts. As for the specifics of how the system deals with reports, I can't go in to detail. As always, the report system is a continually in development and will continue to evolve to be as useful as possible. Hope this helps!

Top lane becomes exasperated and threatens to AFK if Nunu won't stop trolling. Nunu does not, but once top goes AFK moves mid to do the same. Top meanwhile flames Nunu repeatedly. In this situation, is telling top, "Just report in post-game" 'report calling' or would it be considered a legitimate comment meant to calm the flaming top laner down?

: yes, i got lowprior for 5 mins ~15-20 games ago associated with my ragequit, but today it was problem with netprovider.. and we won that game..
The system makes no distinction whether you disconnected because of net issues, because your mother unplugged the router to plug in the vacuum cleaner or because you had to run out to help your neighbour carry a heavy couch up the stairs. Regardless of circumstances, if you disconnect and there are no issues with Riot's servers, it will count against you. Generally, you are "allowed" to disconnect once or twice every so often because special circumstances do arise, but if you habitually disconnect from games, you habitually provide a negative impact on your team mates and so you get punished. Whether you win or not also doesn't matter.

But LoL has micro-transactions. Consider the following: When you're thirsty, it's possible to drink water from any faucet. Water is, essentially, free-to-drink for everyone involved─except those who handle the water bills. But the end-user, the one drinking, drinks free. Now, imagine that you don't want water. You want something with flavour. But everything with flavour, you have to pay for: you have to buy a bottle of cola, for example. Don't you see? It's a micro-transaction. Cola is Life's pay2win item. Micro-transactions aren't just corporate planning. Micro-transactions are an integral part of life.

The Support employee told me they couldn't do that, but encouraged me to look past my current placement and focus on climbing up towards the rank I did play at, because as long as I kept on playing with confidence and optimism I would eventually reach that stage.
