Now, this 30 minutes of waiting and not being able to ban costs me -3lp too! What the actual is wrong now ? I understand you're working on a remedy but this is too far off man.. Other servers don't need a week of repairs, we're just getting dix shoved up our asses.
Uh... There were not/are not any issues as of the time I posted, or as of now? If you are having issues, I would suggest reaching out to player support to make sure everything is fine on your side. :-( I really do not see any problems on our end?

We completely agree with you and it is something we are spending a lot of time investigating. As a matter of fact, we were supposed to work on EUNE and give it a new home, but this was delayed while we investigate potential new solutions that would make more sense and result in better experiences for players. It'll take a while for us to communicate properly on this, but watch this space - EUNE will certainly receive a new set of digs.

: Well some info still would be better like it will take some time or it will be fast. Like that people at last know not to wait for servers to play few more games before they... Waiting and expecting them to come online soon will it will actually take some time. Problem with sadness will be with kids or spoiled guys that dont know things in life are not always easy and as planed (Murphys law and all) rest of us will appreciate any info even if its not always accurate.

: Another update, I switched from Ziggo to KPN today, and played a few matches (also on a different acc). Experienced _**ZERO**_ lag. I think that says enough.
That was a really quick switch, Wolf In Tux! When I was living in Amsterdam, I was using KPN Fiber as well, and I have to say I did not regret it once, very cool service all around, even their support was top notch (given that I don't speak Dutch and all). :-)

Hm, this definitely would confirm the congested port theory. :-( Essentially, too much traffic is forced down there and it just results in poor experience for you guys. Their webcare team responded to one of our contact attempts and supposedly let their network operation center know that we were reaching out to help fix it. ... As of now however, they have not come back to us with anything.
: Everyone i asked about this, has an original Ziggo-account. UPC and ZIGGO fused last year (i think) and no-one i asked is from the old UPC-area.
We've been reaching out to them and to see if we can work together to resolve the issue, but they have yet to respond to our contact thus far, although Eambo has found that they are also stating we are at cause for the issue, oh well. Our network team has been looking into it and because we are peered with them in Amsterdam (which means we should receive traffic from them pretty early on), we believe they might be overloading the port being used for our traffic. This could be temporary and they may already be working on it - I'll update this thread if we get additional info with our attempts to reach out to them. PS: How is the situation today?

Unfortunately not - this issue is not related to the DNS (think DNS is like a phonebook where website = a number). It's probably something to do with their cables that transmit data, either they're being too loaded with data and it creates congestion OR they're having issues with their nodes (routers, etc). We can only do so much on our end, and we will try to reach out to them to see if they have issues, but nothing's guaranteed (even receiving an answer). If we get anything I'll come back here to report (or another Rioter), but no promises.

Well, it seems like people using Ziggo aren't having a fantastic time based on the reports we're seeing. I'd say your best bet is to reach out to them and see what can be done - given the current amount of reports coming in, it doesn't seem to be just an isolated issue (unless you're all playing from the same location).

Hi Wolf In Tux, The issue with Ziggo was from yesterday, I don't see them having issues this morning - outside of the regular noise. This message was for yesterday's event that a few players reported having, that is all. If you have issues "right now", I'd recommend reaching out to them and see if you're having slow internet on other products, too.

Hi guys, We've gone through our monitoring tools and none of our systems reported any issues - we can confirm however that Ziggo had a fair amount of reconnects, which can always affect Ziggo customers as well as ISPs that using the same lines than them. DNA Oy also seems to have been affected around the same time. If our systems do not report issues or if we do not notice large scale problems for a server, we generally do not have a Service Status update available - there are some occasions where we might have one, if a very large carrier with dozens of ISPs served is experiencing issues and we pick it up on our radar. There are hundreds of ISPs out there, each of them potentially with their own issues and connectivity hiccups every hour of the day, and what's more, each of them having ties with another ISP through shared data-carriage, partners, peerings, etc... This makes it extremely complicated to foresee and properly warn players in a targeted manner. Anyways, sorry you guys had a negative experience, and I hope this helps out reassuring you that it is not because we do not wish to rightfully inform you.

PS: Note this affected both EUW & EUNE, but EUW was hit the hardest.

If a skin made it to your personalized shop BUT was intended to go on sale sometime this month, it would simply get replaced by another one. This is the reason for the issue seen by Delde115, Dunkbringer, Altiverse & Pater Gascoigne (nice summoner name, fellow hunter ;)). : How can you say this is resolved? Since last big patch 6.1 I still get disconnected from PVP.net but I can still see friends online and invite them. This isn't the real problem though. When I'm in Team Builder with a friend I can create and join a game but only if I have restarted the game. After 3-5 min I can't see the invite from my friend. And if I'm inside the Team Builder often I can't see if people join in so I can't accept them. So I often leave it to my friend to do the invites and accept people. But when we're all ready the to go and people press the Ready button I don't even get a Ready button to press. Similar things happens when I play 3v3 ranked. All have picked their champs and tell me to hurry upp only 5 seconds left but I can see 40 seconds aaaand its too late, insta loss. I also get lag ingame with 100-mb/s 28ms cable and 300+ FPS. Didn't have that before 6.1. I have done Port Forwarding now http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Asus/RT-N56U/League_of_Legends.htm , uninstalled League of Legends, deleted all files from it in AppData. Reinstalled the game. Uninstalled the graphic driver and updated that one.
Hey Ironmad, It definitely reads like you're having issues with your connection towards the platform. The patch really has not changed the way any of this is handled; but it is possible your ISP is having issues at the moment - I'd suggest reaching out to them to see if you might not be toggled to be using IPV6. Alternatively, you can try and disable it on your side to make sure it's not your PC causing the hiccup, but your ISP *could* be enforcing it on your (we've seen this increase in frequency with several ISPs over Europe throughout the last months). Additionally, reach out to player support to try and see what they can do to help you out, or at least run through the proper troubleshooting steps they have (though it does seem like you've run through a chunk of it already).

It took longer that expected to verify and push it to players.

While we're not sure how many of you guys are affected, we haven't taken any platform wide mitigation, so I'd recommend staying away from Ranked if you're having this issue. The situation should be much better now, and for many may look like there isn't any issues at all. We're still investigating & fixing, but we're expecting this to have little to no impact as of now. Players that were affected by this earlier may still have the Reconnect option stuck, but as it goes away, no new problems should be faced (hopefully!). Will update if resolution is confirmed.

A lot of work went into this, that's awesome! Good job - sent you a little something for your work there! :-) I like the depth you put in to the different parts about your idea and the reasoning for each. :-) I'm not entirely sure about the jungle, but I'm really liking your anti-backdoor idea - though the door to sneak/hiding strategies would still be open. How about vision control for it, what would you see be as options? The items would likely result in tough balancing work, but you I could see a recycle and re-use of the ARAM/TT special items work out OK too. Also a big fan of removing the summoner spells that would mitigate/cancel engage work. You can definitely feel good about yourself, that's cool stuff! Be proud and keep it up!

You're right, actions should be taken much faster in many cases. That being said, getting to that point takes time, data, reports etc, and there will occasionally be cases where our systems are not fast enough, oddities that slip by and do not receive timely actions. But at the end of the day, reports do matter, and add up to cases that get taken into account for systems to get refined and perfected, which should one day mean that actions are taken swiftly, and not just for a portion of the population. As it had been showcased in an article a few weeks back, we have a system in place that takes care of this, but it is new and needs to be tweaked, refined, etc.

Really appreciate the detailed report and in general during the incident having hourly updates even if they were mostly "still working on it!" if finding these obscure issues that have been lurking also helps remove some of the lag spikes i've been having for a while in the evenings (i suspect also something to do with a route clog) then this crash might have a silver lining there is nothing so bad that it isnt good for something
Hey Candoodle, It definitely sounds like you might be victim of your ISP having route congestion if you're facing lags in the evenings. :-( Generally, this is a clear indicator of whichever backbone you're taking to reach the servers. I don't really have a solution that I could offer, but you could reach out to them and ask about the evening congestion and if it could be avoided/resolved, in the worst case, you can consider alternative ISPs if that's an option for you (and have people around you not experiencing these issues you can rely on!).
