: Honestly, it`ll be long before you can make an actual MMO and afford the servers, in fact so long that by that time you`ll either lose interest or come up with your own idea. The thing is, also, you`ll need a good team and sponsors to afford the servers. Give it a few more years of learning, few years of programming , assemble a good team and create something awesome and promote the progress, make sponsors jump at you(offer some of them to co-op even before they jump at you, it takes boring someone to get him to do what you want just to get you off his neck some times) and then, in 10+ years you`ll have something you can call a real, proper MMO(at least what`s considered as such today). Taking into a count actual needed time maybe you`d wanna develop it for android though. Maybe MMO`s will be outdated or move to VR even. Sorry, I don`t want to bring you down but MMO is too enthusiastic at this point, alone, at your age and in the time we live today. If you want to make a game, start off with a single player game better, those well never die and I`d love to see even LoL based single player. It`s also way easier to make (you`ll still need a good tem for a more complicated game, but you can make an indie alone) and it`s cheaper, it doesn`t require servers. You can transform it into a multiplayer later on if people like it or you see that online gaming in today`s form isn`t gonna die out after you have already created a single player. Sorry again, I didn`t mean to bum you out, I`m just trying to give you a few devices as someone who had aspirations to make a game of his own , a big complicated game that I`d love playing, but ended settling for an indie and turned to other stuff like design. And I was around 15-16 when I started it (I`m not really a geezer, but I did go through basic finances and quite some programming languages). So...consider that. I`m not telling you to give up on your intent but be tactical about it, don`t let your will and love for it fade cause of frustrations. Don`t make the same mistake I did, don`t try rushing it. Cause of rushing that game I had and still have in mind, but I know I can`t make, I settled for design and gave up on learning any more programing cause of my past experiences.

: 1) No you will not make a MMO. You don't have the 10-20 programmers and 100-200 other employees for such a project. 2) You don't get a permission, because you will have to generate money for the server environment. 3) Fan-Based doesn't mean it's free or legal.
Its not legal thats why i ask for permission
: dont let youre hopes and dreams be hopes and dreams , you can do it

: If you want to build something like this, consider Neverwinter NIghts (1 is better). Its not MMO but its a good learning curve. Another option is to use Metin2 or Lineage and run the unofficial server which I have no experiences and both games might be already gone from players interest (which is Neverwinter Nights too). Making MMO is a problem, first you need an engine something thats not really available just like that anymore. There is unreal engine but thats a clean engine without anything and no current game allows you to build your own modification like Neverwinter Nights did. instead they allow you to make some quests and crap like this which is really poor replacement. If you are 15 yeas old, you should probably learn basics: 1) html /php /web design/web creation so you can have your own websites 2) programming in at least one language, Visual Basic is good starter, java, c++ more professional
Thanks for the tips, im currently learning at a website called codecademy and i also use unreal engine for doing maps and stuff. I thought about making a single player game of some sort i just want to make an MMO. https://www.codecademy.com/
: making an mmo means you need to have servers which means it will cost you money which means you need to make money with the game. Not gonna happen.
The purpose isnt to make money but ofcourse i will need it
: Exactly my question. We can all have dreams, but if you want to do an MMO entertaining without a dime and all by yourself, you'll need: -good programming skills -ability to do graphics and models -enough time to implement features in the game -host global servers Now you have ~140 champions which you'll have to design to be viable playable classes for an MMO, you'll need to do a huge open world Runeterra with dozens of different locations (Freljord, Shurima, Demacia city, Noxus city, Shadow Isles, Ionia, Bilgewater to name most of them), AND think of a fun way to make your MMO: PvP based? Maybe PvE? You'll have dungeons, a story for each character? Raids? Free PvP areas? Open world grinding? Oh, you'll also have to balance the items, gear and stuff. That, unless you want to do a cheap, generic game. No mean to offend you. Making a game is one of my dreams too, but you can't do it over night.
I am willing to put alot of time and effort into the game. I wanted to make my own game but it just seemed to be a too big "quest" right now. (i know this is really big too)
