: Thank you for this. I've been playing this game for just over a year and have invested so mcg time and money (yes money, I actually pay to play) with the mindset of someone who wants to improve and climb up the ladder. I'm not going to complain about afks, trolls, inters, or flamers (god knows I've had my fair share of flaming) because everyone who's stuck in some elo cries about those (totally understandable and true) Instaed I'd like to stay im context here and say that your comments have answered a question I've had for quite sometime now, especially after having improved so much (and I say this because I can see the difference atm between my game play and that of friends of mine who have played the game for 3+ years). After losing a couple of games in S1 despite having 20+ kills and no more than 4-5 deaths and infact noticing how bad most of my teammates were performing I started checking profiles of teammates and enemies (so to say) and noticed the huge huge difference you are talking about. One example of this is a game where I had 2 unranked teammates with the enemy team ranging between S3-S2. This might not seem a lot but believe me if you watch the replays and the play style, game knowledge and objective control of both teams you would know what big of an impact it has on the game. I can keep talking about this for ages, believe me I can, with more than 700 wins and still in Silver 1 after getting to Gold 1 almost 2 months ago and them dropping straight to S5 (for all the aforementioned reasons) and now have made it back to S1. Just check my profile, my match history and pick a game where you see me having a majorly positive kda and still lose the game (you'll find plenty of those) I'm getting so frustrated from this game and I'm slowly but surely cutting down my gameplay hours. It's just not worh all this time, money, and effort.
Damn dude, you got determination. 800 wins in season 8, in silver/gold, one can only imagine the pain you went through. Definitely not worth the effort and time with current matchmaking. I used to play this game a lot until I realised its low elo matchmaking flaw. Now I play every now and then and will continue, unless they change matchmaking. FYI one time I was in promos and got an unranked player on my team. lol.

: it is you who dont understand how does it work for example if you have a player with 20 wins and 3000 loses and one with 20 wins and 10 loses then which one would be higher? ofc the one with less loses, so lookint at only wins is a terrible idea, if you are looking at winrate then we are at the current system on a different note, if you have a player that should be higher and is matched with lower ones then he should be using his experience to push his lead to other lanes as well, and thats called teamwork
You're going off topic with this comment but I will respond anyway, though if your next comment is irrelevant again I probably won't. >it is you who dont understand how does it work I know how the current matchmaking system works. I am saying it is unfair for those who have a high amount of wins for the reasons stated in previous comments. >for example if you have a player with 20 wins and 3000 loses and one with 20 wins and 10 loses then which one would be higher? ofc the one with less loses, so lookint at only wins is a terrible idea, if you are looking at win rate then we are at the current system This example is irrelevant to what I am talking about, I am not comparing losses which is what you are doing here. And I am not comparing who is going to be higher or not. Further more your example is beyond unrealistic, no player would ever have 20 wins and 3000 loses. THOUGH I THINK I FINALLY UNDERSTAND, you think, in the same elo, having a high win rate makes you better than a player with a lower win rate but has more games won. However this is not always the case which is what I've been trying to explain to you. Also I would take the 20 win and 3000 loss player over the 20 win and 10 loss player every time, the amount of game time/experience difference would be incomparable, which is what I am trying to stress to you. If both teams had 4 of the exact same players on them with the 5th player on team 1 being 20 wins and 3000 losses, whereas the team 2 player being 20 wins and 10 losses. Team 1 would have the higher chance of winning due to the game time/experience difference of the 5th player. This is where the current systems fails and is unfair to the 4 players on team 2. >on a different note, if you have a player that should be higher and is matched with lower ones then he should be using his experience to push his lead to other lanes as well, and thats called teamwork Thanks for stating it's off topic. First of all the player that is higher should not be matched with these lower players to begin with, which is my whole point. Moving on, you must live in a league fairy tale. You tell a low elo player not to push their lane 'As I am coming in for a gank' they will not listen to you. You tell a low elo player to play safe, they will die repeatedly. You tell a low elo player you're about to tp bot they will push or base. You tell a low elo player to group for team fight, they will farm jgl. You tell a low elo player come dragon they will continue farming. You tell a low elo player to come baron they will continue pushing lane. You tell a low elo player to end game they will continue chasing. AND THESE TEND TO BE THE PLAYERS WITH LOW AMOUNT OF WINS which lack the game time/experience to understand what the higher elo player is doing! I AM NOT SAYING ALL PLAYERS WITH LOW WINS ARE BAD, I'M SAYING THE CHANCES OF THEM NOT BEING ABLE TO KEEP UP ARE HIGHER THAN THAT OF PLAYERS WITH HIGH AMOUNT OF WINS DUE TO THE GAME TIME/EXPERIENCE DIFFERENCE, which is unfair matchmaking to those with high amount of wins. Also that is not called team work, that is called carrying.

: >BTW how to you box text? lol use the > symbol before the text >Change duo que setting to where you can only duo if you're both in the same elo. Or just remove duo que, the majority of players que solo, plus it's unfair if only one team has a duo and the other has not. People that want to duo should just go ranked flex. duos are always put vs other duos, thats a fact, plus if you queue with a duo you get higher mmr opponents >This just proves my point, I refuse to believe a player with 2000 wins is bronze skilled, i have 38 wins in ranked and currently in silver 1 0 lp, there is a guy in silver 1 with 223 wins, so tell me how is he more skilled? with that much wins he should be way higher following your logic or a different example: when i started ranked a few seasons ago i played 138 games the whole season, and got from bronze 3 to gold promos, and i saw ppl in bronze with 500+ games >It will make it harder to get to gold, plat and dime, meaning trolls will hopefully be further down the elo, won't change much but will help as trolls skill levels are usually that of the lower elo. divisions doesnt work that way, its not like you need to have 1500 mmr and that is gold... divisions are based on % of players, the bottom x% of players are bronze, so lets say if the playerbase is 100 the bottom 10 is bronze, even if they have 10000 mmr, so adding more divisions wont make it harder to get to certain division, you just see the progression better
>i have 38 wins in ranked and currently in silver 1 0 lp, there is a guy in silver 1 with 223 wins, so tell me how is he more skilled? with that much wins he should be way higher following your logic You're not understanding the point. The reason they are not in a higher elo is because the current matchmaking puts players with 20 wins on their team and those players have a much higher chance of not be able to keep up with the rest of the players in the game, compared to if it was a 200 win player, meaning more loses, resulting low elo. Reason being they cant keep up is 180 wins difference is a lot of game time/experience difference, which results in the skill difference. I would take that 223 win player over your 38 every time. >or a different example: when i started ranked a few seasons ago i played 138 games the whole season, and got from bronze 3 to gold promos, and i saw ppl in bronze with 500+ games Again you don't understand the point, because of current matchmaking those players in bronze with 500+ wins are getting those players with 20 wins on their team, causing them to lose more games than they would if those players were 200 win players, resulting in a 50/50 or worse win ratio. I think you don't wish to understand the point because you have a small amount of wins maybe, but that's irrelevant I guess. The main thing is **_20 win players will have a higher chance_** of not being able to keep up with every one else in the game compared to 200 win players, due to 180 wins being a lot of game time/experience difference, which is unfair for the player with 200 wins trying to climb as they tend to lose games cause of these 20 win players. Finally, maybe this will change your mind about current match making, players listed are in the same elo, 200win, 200win, 200win, 200win, 200win VS 200win, 200win, 200win, 20win, 20win, this is fair matchmaking? Unless the elo is masters+ this is not fair matchmaking. You run this game 10 times the first team will win majority of the games unless they throw, facts. This matchmaking occurs a lot from personal experience. Shit I've played a game where enemy team 150+win, 150+win, 150+win, 150+win, 150+win VS 200+win(me), 50+win, 20+win, 20+win, 20+win. Which team you think got hard clapped? Mine. You run this game 10 times 1st team will win 8 maybe 9 /10 times. Can you see how the chances of winning decrease due to less wins, as less wins means lower game time/experience, which results in the skill difference. IT IS CLEARLY UNFAIR.

: >The first easy one is place players into correct elo they cant do that without you playing, and they cant do that if you ask your friends to boost you >Fix for this would be to give LP according to game kda score, damage dealt/taken, objective damage etc... not viable, there are so many variables that makes you win and there are tactics that involve bad kda etc and still make you win (for example proxy singed, if its played right it takes 2 ppl to deal with singed and the rest of the team can win 4v3, but the only positive stat that comes with proxy singed is farm) >Stop basing matchmaking soley off mmr and instead lean more towards games won. thats how mmr works, its based only on the outcome of the match and its calculated on the average mmr of the players in that match >No way should a player with 200 wins be put on the same team with a player with 20 wins (this happens a lot, from personal experience). i know ppl who won 2000 games but are still bronze skilled and i know ppl who won 20 games and skipped 2-3 divisions >Fourth, adding elos below bronze. They are planning to do this next season although it looks like it's a season too late. i dont see the point in that, we get 2 more elo because silver and what was it dia? have the most players, so there are huge differences in silver 5 vs silver 1 while on other elos the difference is not that big
'they cant do that without you playing, and they cant do that if you ask your friends to boost you' Change duo que setting to where you can only duo if you're both in the same elo. For your Singed example LP will be based off farm/ gold income, objective damage and damage taken etc, plus a good singed will have deaths but not a shit load. Stop basing matchmaking soley off mmr and instead lean more towards games won. My bad I should re-phrase this to 'Stop basing matchmaking soley off mmr and instead lean more towards (AMOUNT OF) games won.' 'i know ppl who won 2000 games but are still bronze skilled and i know ppl who won 20 games and skipped 2-3 divisions' This just proves my point, I refuse to believe a player with 2000 wins is bronze skilled, those players with 2000 wins are getting those players with 20 wins on their team, thus not letting them climb. Meaning their win ratio is 50/50 due to matchmaking. Plus my point was the chances of the player with 20 wins being on the same skill level with that of the 200 win player is highly unlikely which is unfair for the player with 200 wins. Further more it don't even make sense unless that 20 win player has an extremely high win ratio, as 180 wins difference is a lot of game time/experience difference. And I would take that 2000 win player over that 20 win player every time. 'i dont see the point in that, we get 2 more elo because silver and what was it dia? have the most players, so there are huge differences in silver 5 vs silver 1 while on other elos the difference is not that big' It will make it harder to get to gold, plat and dime, meaning trolls will hopefully be further down the elo, won't change much but will help as trolls skill levels are usually that of the lower elo. : and what can riot do to players wanting to throw games? they dont have mind controlling devices (i hope{{sticker:sg-lulu}} ) to control ppl to not troll etc or if you are at it suggest a good thing that will eliminate all the trolls without punishing innocent ppl
There's a lot of things riot can do. The first easy one is place players into correct elo, so many players(including trolls) are in elos they shouldn't be. Fix for this would be to give LP according to game kda score, damage dealt/taken, objective damage etc... Second thing they could do is make matchmaking better/fairer... Stop basing matchmaking soley off mmr and instead lean more towards amount of games won. No way should a player with 200 wins be put on the same team with a player with 20 wins (this happens a lot, from personal experience). The chances of the player with 20 wins not having the skill level to keep up with everyone else in the match is so high that I'd rather take my chances with a bot. Also trolls usually have lower games played than the serious players. Thirdly, they could do is a voting system. At end game lobby put a poll option for whether a player was trolling or not if all 4 players agree yes to that one player, then riot can search further into it. Fourth, adding elos below bronze. They are planning to do this next season although it looks like it's a season too late. Anyway no one will probably see this post as a riot mod will probably delete this comment. TBH I'm surprised they didn't delete the main post 'Ranked games are unplayable' but I agree. BTW all this is coming from a player in silver elo xD. Side note, check out my youtube :D LOL! I post league.

: Partly as a joke, partly because I prefer more _calm_ and less raging personalities in YouTube videos (personal preference). Also no trailer should be three minutes long.
I see. IMO a channel trailer shouldn't have your calm side but w/e... Also it's funny as most of my content is calm, this is just 30second clips from 7min episodes combined together. And calm content is not as entertaining so I couldn't/wouldn't put that in the trailer. 3 minutes is just a bit too long, was going for 2 but felt like it didn't capture the channel well enough.
