iGaveUpAtLast (EUW) : I do believe that some people can change and that some just need a really hard punishment (like a perma) to realize that they can't go on like this but one day wouldn't be enough to prove all that. I mean let's say you get really lucky on that day and win every game with really good teammates. You aren't even able to prove yourself in this scenario because there's no reason for you to flame anybody compared to another player who goes on a 10 game losing streak with actual trolls, AFKs, flamers and people who are just having a bad game. You'd need to prolong the trial over weeks or even months with a certain amount of games played to balance all that out. We all know that usually the 14-day ban is your last chance BUT I wouldn't mind if you got a last last chance after you've proven yourself over several months on a smurf. Let's say you've not done anything ban worthy for 6 months with a certain amount of games played on your smurf and then apply for your last last chance on your main. If your smurf is clean Riot could unban your main but you will forever be walking on thin ice by which I mean that you will be perma banned for good after you've slipped up once. You do know that once upon a time Riot tried a Second Chance program with Permabanned players (that wanted a second chance) and only about 5% actually made it through, right ? ... And imo there is nothing to indicate that this percentage would have improved enough (potentially it might go to 7-8%?) to warrant a revisit. Anything beneath 10% (I would go as far as say anything below 25%) yield is something that no company would invest times and resources on. BlindAsh (EUW) : I am sure that you have totally reformed yourself and are now a great and none toxic person but what you suggest would allow the richer people who are toxic to get away with being so with a penalty which would not bother them but be more punishing to the poorer players. The remnant ban system treats the rich and the poor equally and so should not be changed. But if you make it big then what is the point in paying it when you can spend that money on clean account and get everything back. Are you willing to pay 1k to get your account one step back on punishment ladder? You will have to be crystal clear for a long time to not just throw that money away. Once a flamer, always a flamer in my book. How about not get banned in the first place? Febos (EUW) : Riot can't forbid players from making new accounts, because League of Legends is a Free To Play game. However, when an account is perma banned that's like Riot telling you "we don't want you to play our game". Toxic players get plenty of chances to reform. A lot of them do, even before they get to the 14 day suspension, but those that don't need to be removed. Leveling a new account is enough of a "punishment" for a lot of those, mainly because of the time they have invested on the other account (and possibly money).
