: Because ignoring stuff doesn't solve anything.
And based on the amount of toxic players, which remains unchanged for the last 10 years, neither does that system.

: Because it easier to make a filter to catch toxic chat. You cant make a filter to catch bad plays or inting. Thats why it so slow. Old system was even slower. People got banned for toxicity 1-2 months after they said that thing. Probably they already have forgot what they said but got banned. Atleast now chat ban system is good.
Why would you even need a system to ban verbally toxic players when you can simply mute them? Seems like wasted resources to me.

: CS:GO isn't a paid queue, not strictly. Anyone can join as long as they have hit the level requirement which isn't high if someone as casual as me got into it. Also it requires phone number which will be banned from reuse i presume if the acc is banned. Unless they changed it for whatever reason but i didnt hear about it. Would it lower toxicity? Even on prime accounts i saw hacks and i mean the hardcore ones. Hard to tell how Tencent would implement it. I'm sceptical because microtransactions never stop, it's a matter of players to accept them into game elements or not. I know i wouldn't spend even 5 minutes on a tribunal. Time is of the essence. It can't do any harm for those that wish to participate tho. I guess it depends how much Riot wants to retain those <2 players, and how many of them are there. Current system, in theory, is to allow you to get the honor back, even tho i heard it's a slog. It would be interesting to throw there even players with a chat restrict until they clear it off, to let them taste hell {{champion:17}}. Some games already do this, even with hackers. Wonder if it would actually improve matches. I never checked honor of players.

Even on prime accounts i saw hacks and i mean the hardcore ones. It's also paid since you need to pay for prime at least for accounts made after that change. I believe its 10ish Euro. I played before and after the change and i felt a noticeable difference in the experience. League of Legends only suffers from AFK,ers and players being verbally toxic. In all fairness the toxic behavior can be solved simply by muting. No system will ever get rid of bad people, but its moving in the right direction, it benefits the developers and the community with higher(not perfect) quality games. > I know i wouldn't spend even 5 minutes on a tribunal. Time is of the essence. It can't do any harm for those that wish to participate tho. That's true, a lot of people would probably not bother with it, i however love doing it as i have been a mod/admin on many game servers in the past. There could also be blue essence rewards to speed up the process of getting champs. Im unsure how fast that goes these days. > > I guess it depends how much Riot wants to retain those <2 players, and how many of them are there. Current system, in theory, is to allow you to get the honor back, even tho i heard it's a slog. It indeed takes ages to get it back. First your honor level have to unlock which can take anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks. THEN you have to grind all the way from 0 or 1 back to 2 which takes weeks if not months. To me the system is flawed and the rewards are not worth it, at least not for old players. >It would be interesting to throw there even players with a chat restrict until they clear it off, to let them taste hell {{champion:17}}. Some games already do this, even with hackers. Wonder if it would actually improve matches. I never checked honor of players. They already claim they did this once and it didn't work, but to be honest i wouldn't mind the system existing to get rid of toxic players from serious matches, at least i believe its worth redeveloping that type of system for league.

: Well this might work... But in the end we don`t know which part of the player base is motivated enough to play the games without trolling them. At the same time we don`t how much % of player base would be willing to buy this service, I know i would give it a try it it worked 100%, because the way it is now its just i got no words simply... I cant simply understand where this hidden aggression and evil is coming from and why people act the way they act.. Well I guess its hard to call these teenagers a real "human" since it is clear that majority of the player base here are not grown up enough to play the game as it is intended to be played... And I would strongly support the ideas on how to improve overall player base behavior, but I cant seem to find a any good examples on how to improve it... Like people troll your game these days just because you have unusually high mastery score.... Like for this reason they troll your game...

At the same time we don`t how much % of player base would be willing to buy this service, That is indeed true, but if its reasonably prized i dont think its going to be much of an issue, especially if they market it right and it promises a better experience considering how frustrating the current ranked experience is. > I know i would give it a try it it worked 100%, because the way it is now its just i got no words simply... Well I guess its hard to call these teenagers a real "human" since it is clear that majority of the player base here are not grown up enough to play the game as it is intended to be played... From what i remember some surveys proved that the toxic player base were actually in their 20's and above. So basically grown ups. Another issue is that accounts have almost no value and they are way too easy to make. You can simply flame on a smurf, disconnect and log into one of the other 8 ones you have. I already made a topic a while back on how to make it much harder to make accounts, but Riot never gave it any thought.

: **Premium Queue: This is the more extreme one but i feel it could be a great addition for serious players. Create a reasonably priced pass for a premium sort of queue. These games will have a much stricter filter in terms of toxic behavior and AFK behavior. This queue should also only be available for honor level 2 or 3 and above. I believe this could be a good addition in lower elo as i believe this is where the problem is biggest. So perhaps spanding from Iron 4 up until you hit Masters where you are then put in the regular queue again.** I was thinking about it too... But there is another matter regarding those who pay for it, some might think that if they paid for the service they can do whatever they want with it, including their behavior we see now... Higher filter for these kind of players sounds nice, but the company that gets money from them, can not really ban a lot of those players...

Even if that is the case it would hardly matter, as soon as they get punished they are unable to play in that queue again. They can ban those players similar to how other games you pay for (back in the day CS:GO) could also get banned for cheating despite paying for the game. It would mean a slight policy change, but even then Riot have a policy that states they can ban any account for any reason regardless of how much they spend on skins and other services. I would say that the current token pass is a service, and they can still ban people even after paying for it.

: Pay to get better basic system of any sort... No, never even think of going in this direction. Tribunal, however you would implement it again, shouldin't be able to apply punishments. At most it should qualify it for a review for a Riot employee. And the problem of it being slow still applies, even more so if you had to watch entire games. Watching only bits at a time won't give you a proper image of how someone behaved. I don't think we have any data on how many players have honor<2. It could make their queue times impossible based on a server and the time they play.

It could make their queue times impossible based on a server and the time they play. Paying 10 or so euro for a queue would reduce the toxic behavior/afk behavior you encounter. CS:GO did it and it works just fine, even without a restriction to toxic behavior other than cheating. Yes the player base is smaller but the method would be the same. The Tribunal is slow yes, but the Tribunal focused on Toxic behavior rather than AFK behavior, 2 different things with 1 being way worse (toxic behavior) than the other. I could agree that once the players voted it could go to a Riot employee and action is taken, however that would slow it down even further, respectable people are also found amongst regular community people, and those are the ones who should have access to this voting system. AFK behavior is fairly easy to spot, especially sitting in the fountain, you would of course have the regular menu so you can fast forward. Note that we are not looking for toxic behavior in the chat, but simply if this person is actually playing the game, this is why i want experienced players to have access, so they know exactly what to look for and based on detailed reports it should be fairly easy to see when and where it happens. Honor level 2 is what everyone starts on. Honor level 0-1 are for those who received punishments. Queue times for honor level 0-1 players would most likely be longer, but that simply adds to the punishment. It does promote the "prisoners island" but i fail to see why we should cater to the toxic minority, instead we should make the experience better for those who are nice.

: As i main jungler i do want to give a other opinion. Sometimes as jungler you do have a bad start and you NEED that farm to stay relevant in level. In some cases it really happens you loose the camps/drakes etc because of your team. You have scuttle you have lane prio, you see your enemy move to drake -> You ping your team to have a 4 vs 3 while ahead and they do not show or late. Same goes for some other games where every gank is a fail because of the lanes not commiting or even reacting. This is the moment you have to choose for your own XP and Items to have any of an impact 10 minutes later. I noticed if i dont and i keep trying to help my team i will fall off.

I noticed if i dont and i keep trying to help my team i will fall off. 100% agree with your points, but these junglers are those who just straight up refuse to play the game. They die once, then "im going to afk farm" despite having easily gankable lanes. or they lose 1 or 2 drakes, and at that point they straight up refuse to contest any drakes, heralds or barons. I have nothing against Junglers who visibly try their best, but i feel that this season its especially bad in the jungle and the lane itself have way too much influence on the outcome of the game.
