They added Ranked mode, so it makes sense for the play button not working anymore. Because how is that button suppose to know whether you want to play normal or ranked?

: Frankly I see no issue with ARAM as it is. As for what you said: 1. 90% of ARAM games end at around 20 minutes so idk what you are even talking about. Can a game drag on? Sure but that can happen in every mode. 2. You want them to balance ARAM?! Are you sick? With over 140 champions balancing the normal game mode is impossible and you want them to pull it off with a RANDOM ONE? Like even more then they already have? The only way this could work would be by removing all champions except for, let's say, ADCs. You would get a random ADC and then you would all get the same items and stats. There balanced. The only issue is that now it is boring and not worth playing for more then 2-3 hours ever. ARAM is fine the way it is. The fun comes from you being forced into a situation and figuring out how to deal with it. The games tend to push you into thinking in a different way then SR would, early and late game mean more and because of the chaotic nature of it all you actually can win even with the worst comp. I think ARAM is fine the way it is. If you don't like it then just don't play it. Also I get that you really want Nexus Blitz back but I would be pissed if they would take out ARAM and replace it with that. Nexus Blitz is fun for a few hours and then it losses it's luster while many people play ARAM daily and have been for years now.

Oh hell I agree if the changes. Like one week ago I wrote I threat talking about possible ARAM changes and how much improvements are possible for the mode. People laughed at me and flamed me but all possible changes I mentioned are done in this test. Who is laughing now, huh?

: Aram games are generally over in about 20-25 mins depending on team comps. They are almost always fun to play and yea there is no balancing to be done in a random mode. You have to get lucky. You are forced in team fights where some champions excel at and others do not. Early game and late game make a larger difference as well as things can spiral out of control quickly. That's part of the charm. The most OP champion in ARAM is definitely Jinx. Has about 85% winrate. ADC's right now do really well because of the new itemization. Since it's a single lane it's very hard to flank someone or catch someone out. Asassins have a hard time. Talon for instance is one of my favorite champions, but he's utterly useless in ARAM no matter how fed he gets.
It's funny how both answers don't respond to my actual points at all. As I said in the comment, I am NOT CRITICISING the core concept. I have a problem with the fact that people just seemingly accept the problems of the mode, for whatever reason. Taking for example your point with Talon. Is there any reason why he has to be weak in the mode? They make champions better in other modes too. So why not Talon in ARAM? Do you get what I mean? And to correct somethings you said. Jinx has 57% winrate in ARAM, honestly no idea where you get this random and ridiculous number of 85%. And new items don't change the state of ADCs in that mode all. ADCs work with the right team comps and have some core weaknesses. Things like lifeline passive on PD don't do anything if you get hard engaged on.

Yeah, there is always the part of "why did their team win the lottery?" but that has been greatly balanced by addition of the health relics, Snowballs and the reliable rerolls. Moreover one should way more often consider building a Warmogs Armor. ARAM allows you to do often very wacky builds which then still someone work, but also to try hard and test your skills against great odds. The champions you mentioned are definetly strong picks, but nothing like blatantly overpowered. As with Summoners Rift, the biggest balance issue I see with it is the mental game of the players playing it. People giving up in the loading screen and then ingame. Besides, we are already flooded with ARURF and Nexus Blitz. What about Ascension? It hasn't been online in a long time. What about making the Rotating Game Mode and actual rotation and not a FOTM mode or more likely a live test mode.

I agree with the second point. I always felt that you should not lose at lot of LP if you did not well, even if you lose. Likewise people who contributed a lot to a victory should also earn more LP.

I think the change is uncalled for. Zoe is not a pressing issue at all, let alone overpowered. I honestly hope, they rethink this change and don't lrease it on the next patch instead of pushing her back into being unplayable again.

You think I didn't try that? Nothing worked. It didn't even fixed itself after I upgraded a second ability ( what I could for some reason) or after I died. I was completely blocked until the end of the game.

: People will always think tanks are op... firstly a lot of them think fighters are tanks, and secondly anything they can’t kill instantly must be op. Tanks are still struggling... riot buffed a few of them but the main issue of an over tuned anti tank system and too much true damage still exists.
It is not even about tanks being strong or weak, they are just unfun. There is nothing to outplay. Let's take Nautilus as an example. He just has to spam his shield and survives forever. Wow, great gameplay. If for example his shield would be strong at the start and gets weaker and has longer cd the more you use it in succession, that would be a mechanic you could play with. In general, at lost of abilites should not be spamable without a downside imao.
