: How to get out of silver
First game i looked at: match length 30:23; cs 95. My cs numbers are pretty crap, but 95 cs in over 30 minutes is just plain embarrassing. Avg approx 10 dpg. This says a lot. You are a typical walk around the map looking to kill your opponents regardless of cds or any concept of what fights you can/can't win player. Instead, push your lane and take towers. If you want to have fun killing people, go and play aram. If you want to climb then realize that it doesn't matter how many kills you get, it wont magically kill the nexus. If I sound like a %%%%, it's because you are the epitome of the type of mid-laner in my games that loses their tier 2 by 15 minutes because they wander aimlessly around the map creating negative pressure.
: 1. I just kind of made the (perhaps faulty) assumption kha had indicated his intention of ganking there about 10-30 secs prior to him actually walking into the lane, which should have left you with enough time. The problem with pings is that ppl don't take them seriously enough sometimes, chat is more effective. Just typing "Dont gank" "I wont help u" into chat is usually enough. 2. Even if you don't catch her, her backing out of the fight would still mean your jungler not dying. I agree that ganking in this situation is not smart in the first place, but if the gank is happening anyway it's better to assist your jungler than to leave him there to die.

I agree that ganking in this situation is not smart in the first place, but if the gank is happening anyway it's better to assist your jungler than to leave him there to die. 1. I checked this, because I can get sloppy in that regard. The time between the first ping from Kha and my warning ping was slightly less than 3 seconds. So I don't see the validity in this argument - 10-30 seconds? Help me understand where you got that timeframe. Are you saying that prior to where i cut the video he would/could have indicated? I'll go and check that - if so, then yeah, I see your point, thanks. 2. Yeah I kinda see that, but also then think of the loss of cs/gold and is it worth it...i guess you have to assume that the jungler will ignore your warning ping and decide to go in anyway making the double buff transfer and kill gold a lot worse than the loss of a few cs. Thanks for your thoughts.
: You should communicate to kha (via chat) that you will not be helping him if he comes to gank if you're determined to keep csing. That will usually result in him aborting mission and going back to jungling. In this case though, fiora wasn't in her minion wave and with your help it would have been an easy kill, so you should probably have gone for the kill and forfeited the cs (of which you wouldnt have lost all that much actually). If your jungler is determined to gank regardless of what you tell him, you should assist him in that situation (its not like fiora was overfed and could have 1v2d you or anything). This play both throws your jungler under the bus and ruins your lane and is a surefire to destroy morale across the team.

To type that in the 2 to 3 seconds before he commits and have him be reading that and responding accordingly is not feasible. It's just not enough time. Is this not the point of the pinging functionality? 2. You say it is an easy kill I'm guessing because of how close the fight is, but when you look at the distance between me and Fiora, as soon as I start moving towards her, she aborts the fight and I can never catch her given that my only movement speed over a Fiora is my W which I will never get off once she sees me coming.

: Riot you suck
I think I am playing this game wrong - I always thought that you win by destroying the glowy object in the enemies base first. Now i find out that doing the most damage to champions is the most important factor in winning. FML.
: Can someone from Riot just come and explain how this is 14 day ban material?
I like the bit where Braum doesn't get banned for choosing for himself if he wanted to continue the game. What goes on in people's heads...
: Promos for s3 afk top
Help him destroy his lane - roam/gank so that his lane opponent can't stop him taking towers/killing him. Don't fight 4 v 5 and then blame him for why the team is losing. Your team wanting to team fight doesn't make him wrong for not, nor does him wanting to crush his lane and take towers make your team wanting to fight wrong. It is just a different style of playing the game. Sure, if it was high elo then there are factors which tip the scale in one method being more optimal (and in some cases, the only way to win), such as team comp and individual lane match-ups, but at s3 this is negligible if not irrelevant.
: Strange black line in game
I get this strange effect on my screen intermittently throughout the game, where my screen just sorta goes all grey for like 15-60 seconds. What's really bizarre is that it's grey for longer, later into the game, and only happens when I die. Suffice to say my screen goes grey a lot.

Then I would say to forget about the concept of "meta". Instead, try to find a small set of champions that you like. Spam play them and learn their strengths and weaknesses by playing them a lot. Worry about meta once you get to diamond+. Below that you're unlikely to be impacted by playing a weaker champion - the bigger factor in winning/losing is decision making.

: Why do we have Solo/Duo & Flex instead of Solo & Flex (which can have duo premades)
LOL! I can't believe it took this long for a post about this. Couldn't agree more. It's kind of like a solo rating (rank/MMR) would actually make sense because everyone plays solo...crazy right?? I can only imagine that it is this was because Riot wants the game to be played NOT as Solo queue, and this is the compromise for the solo players.
: Zed vs tanks?
"In this meta". Um...so if we want assassins to beat tanks, what exactly do tanks do? You cant have a class of champion that doesn't have a weakness...

: The thing is two wrongs don't make a right. He got rightfully punished. There's no reason to intentionally sabotage a game. He might have done that to "punish" those who "trolled" him, but what about the people that didn't do anything and had their game ruined? What you say in champion select and in the end game lobby are taken into account by the punishment system but aren't included in your chat logs, so it's possible to get punished for being a dick in champion select.
I don't think you understand the OPs point; OP is stating the hipocracy in the outcome of this event, not that the reaction should be unpunished.

: Autofill on EUW = unnecessary
I'm finding the exact same problem, so I am left wondering how exactly this is improving queue times? A lot more dodges now, and the queue times are the same anyway - they weren't even high before this was implemented. Overall with the additional dodging, there is actually more time spent queuing, and I imagine this is the same for a lot of people who don't have extremely high non-ranked MMR.
: so when you fucking trashes gonna nerf yasuo?
I think you solved your own problem - "...unkillable untill our adc gets fed enough to kill him...". If that's the case, then support your ADC and play passive so that he can get to that point where he can deal with Yasuo.

Just a thought...might the times of day that are the worst, coincide with when you would expect the school kids to be playing, i.e.: early morning/evening? I find the best times to be late at night or early afternoon when they are less juveniles. Just a theory...
: This was a normal game and I wanted yasuo mid while I was 1st pick and the person that ban it took tf adc. Explain that.
You didn't add anything relevant in this response - as per the person who already responded to you, every player has a right to play the game in the manner they believe gives the best chance of victory (ranked or normal). It is completely logical to ban Yasuo purely on the basis that you do not want your team to play the champion, given how high a skill cap the champion has (and hence how poorly most players will play on high skill champion). This is no different from you Implying that TF adc is not appropriate.

Lol, sure, if you want to choose the parts that support your argument and ignore anything else then yeah you can justify anything. The mana cost is significantly less for heimerdinger, they dont expire after 60 seconds, and then there's the Apex turret. But i get it...the advantages of heimerdingers turrets with respect to jack in the box aren't relevant since they don't support your argument.

: Yeah I lost both games with these girls streamers one of which was ranked and we lost it because of her. And have you seen the viewer count of some of these girl streams? Plus I play League to enjoy myself not to be judged by some random twitch audience. Is that too hard to grasp? I personally enjoy my privacy. It s nice that you dont see a problem with it well I do.
As someone else has already mentioned, anyone can spectate your game or look at your match history, so I am guessing your objection relates more to negative comments made by the streamer about your game play. If that is the case then Riot's terms do acknowledge (and I imagine that this would be the same for the streaming company) that it is a breach of their terms of use to transmit or communicate content, which, in their discretion constitutes harassment.
: This May Just Be Me, But Heimer's Turrets Feel Really Weak.
Ok, if they buff heimer's turrets then I'm spamming Shaco, cause if heimer's turrets need a buff to their health, then the same is going to have to happen to Shaco's boxes.
: > Well for that, Riot could more balance the rating system, I know that right now its very based on farm, but thats something balanceable. Riot could also make a new system, which also looks for tower kills/assists, objective control, etc. When this system would be more balanced, than it would works. You are basically arguing against your own idea here without being aware of it. Want to know why? Because the improved rating system you describe here basically measures one thing: The ability to win a game. If the mastery system was perfect it would perfectly represent a players ability to win games. The ironic aspect about this idea is that the current system does exactly that. The only thing that matters is winning or losing, which is the result of your ability to win games. So the current system measures exactly the same thing as a perfect rating system would measure. And that's precisely the reason why nothing else but win or lose is important for your rank. Winning or losing is the perfect summary of all your important skills in LoL. In addition your idea has another problem: It encourages players not to focus on actually winning the game but tricking the system (like farming as a support) So as a result it would actually encourage behavior that is pretty close to trolling (i.e. not actually trying to win the game). And that's not even all of it. You said this system is supposed to prevent intentionally feeding. But the main victims of this system are players who just have a bad game. Playing badly already feels bad enough, but you want to punish them even more. Frustration is one of the main reasons for toxicity, so by increasing frustration this system might actually increase toxicity. That's exactly the opposite of what it is supposed to do! And what about intentional feeders? Do you think intentional feeder feed because they want to rank up? No, they don't care about ranking up, if they would they wouldn't feed intentionally. So a punishments that affects their LP/MMR doesn't bother them at all, this punishment is useless because they don't care about their rank anyway. So those who actually feed intentionally are not even really targeted while normal players who just have a bad game have to suffer. I hope you see that this is extremely problematic. And that's the reason why a system like this was never implemented and probably never will be. It doesn't help anyone but does a lot of harm.

: What else can I do to stop my teammates from flaming
You have two options, 1. /mute all. Solves all your in-game problems. 2. Play enough games that you get to the point where you've been flamed so much that you just find it funny. Come back with a clever retort when you think of it. I enjoy correcting their spelling when they flame, it seems to piss them off so much xD.

: Matchmaking is fair...
You died 4 times - so that's 4 mistakes, you didn't use pink wards, you built full damage but your support virtually did the same amount of damage as you. Seems like you need to improve a lot in your own game.
: Jungle Yasuo
Sure, there are champions which are good in the LCS, but which are not good in low Elo Solo Queue, but these are mainly champions which are highly dependant on good teamwork. Implying that because champions are used in the LCS, they are not as optimal in Solo Queue though, is just wrong, and many of the junglers played in the LCS are done so because they are the strongest champions in areas that are also important in Solo Queue (clear speed, early gank pressure, etc.). Yasuo jungle against any average or higher jungler is just garbage.
: Because unranked MMR has nothing to do with ranked MMR, which is soooo retarded. So even a challenger player has 1200 (default) elo as a fresh level 30 account. Honestly ranked games should also alter the unranked MMR, so that those MMR values are usually close.
I don't necessarily disagree with a change to make the ranked mmr impact on the unranked mmr, but your comment about a Challenger player having the default mmr on a fresh account, makes no sense. Unless multiple accounts for a player are changed so that they are linked, there is no way that the system can identify that this "new" player is a Challenger player, so it makes complete sense for this to be how it is.
: Can someone please tell me why?
In my opinion, a combination of ego and knowledge. Knowledge: For instance...most players don't understand how experience/levels works in the game beyond "oh I can skill up an ability". The amount of times I've tried as a support, to get the adc to do a camp if the jungler starts on the other side (and is okay with it), so that we can rush lvl 2 and all in due to better base stats plus an extra ability skilled up (if the matchup is good) and the adc player has no idea what I mean...I've lost count. Another example being denying cs to the tower when forcing the opposition out of lane. The lack of knowledge on when and how to fight based on how strong you and your team are versus the opposition, involves a level of knowledge that most players just don't have. Ego: How many times a game do you watch your team chase that one low opposition into their jungle, with no vision, only to be killed (which you predicted knowing that no enemy was showing on the mini-map and warned them off via incessant pings). How many times have you seen that player lose a 1v1, come straight back to lane and instantly fight them again at an item disadvantage in an unfavourable matchup to try and "square the ledger". Most players cannot accept not being a or the carry, and need to "get one back" if someone betters them. A lot of this is likely to do with the mean age of players. So yeah, in my opinion, it boils down to ego and knowledge.
: just a question about the mmr and lp gain and loss.
In a perfect world yes, you would end up with a 5 v 5 where all players had an identical mmr making the match a pure 50/50, and so the gain/loss would be a flat amount (probably 20...not really sure). The problem with this is, the queue times would be ridiculously long while the system waits for 10 identical Mmr players to get into queue. So it tries to get as close as possible based on the players found in queue, and your mmr gain/loss is based on the average mmr of your team against the opposition - i.e.: if the average mmr for your team is higher than the opposition, then you will gain less than that flat amount if you win, and lose more if you lose, since you are expected to win (your team has a higher mmr and is hence a "better team"). The opposite if your team has a lower average mmr. The concept behind this is that as the number of games you play increases, you will naturally move into your appropriate mmr (and division/tier). So whilst it sucks if you look at individual or small numbers of games (due to afk's, trolls, bad days, etc.), over time the outliers will become relatively meaningless and you'll end up where you belong. Hope this helps, I'm sure others will correct anything in here that could be phrased better.
: Not sure if you read what you say yourself. By your logic all champions are OP and Katarina is the only balanced, because she cant beat anyone 1v1 pre level 4... even 4 is too early, but there's special exceptions... And I personally need to learn nothing. I'm mostly first pick and when people see me picking Kata they always pick 0 CC and 0 tanks, so basically I am forced to play on my own every single time. So spikes mikes pikes whatever... They don't need to rework Kat, but the mentality of people to quit playing stupidly... There's time when enemy takes 0 tanks, 0 CC and later flames how OP I am just cuz they got 0 counter play picks... only damage and more damage...
I'm unsure what your underlying point is in the most recent comment, but my mistake, I didn't realise I was talking to Rank 1 Challenger, since as you say, you "personally need to learn nothing.". Happy gaming!
SatomiKun (EUW)
: No, that is exaggerating and I bet you know that. Skills which are able to deny last hits on creeps are indeed unhealthy for the game, why do you think Gangplank's skill, which basically did this, got changed? And tell me why this should actually be a problem to change it that way that enemies are still able to hit minions. I just thought this would be a nice change since it would reduce the frustration playing against teemo as a melee champion.
Yes, I am exaggerating, but the principle still remains - a lot of cc abilities (i.e.: knock-ups/stuns) can be used to prevent CSing, are you going to remove these abilities? I'm not familiar with Gangplank, but based on your post, it sounds like you have made an assumption about the reasoning behind the change you mention - did Riot specifically state that this change was to eliminate the ability to deny CS? I'm not sure I agree with the concept of rule changes being made to "reduce the frustration". Each champion has strengths and weaknesses, and you should focus on that rather than expecting the rules to change.
: Why do players rage after a niche pick?
I think you answered your own question - they blame you because they played poorly and need to find a way to justify in their own mind, how they did fine but the team still lost. You are the easy scapegoat, since you played something unusual and something that is not typically played by the best players (LCS/Challenger). As you said, the "meta" picks are close to meaningless at lower Elo, where the games are utter chaos and optimal team comps, counter-picks etc. aren't the deciding factor. Ignore them, play what you want, continue to learn how to and rely on yourself to carry games. If It were me, and I saw a 76% win rate on a Caitlyn mid main in ranked, I would be picking a tank, peeling for you the whole game and taking the free win!
: Oh really? I know how to play vs the new Malza, but doesn't mean he aint broken. He can summon 1000 little void crappers that can burst me down in 1-2 secs at level 2, which has 0 counter play cuz they got 600 MS. Same time his passive blocks all 3 spells in my combo, because I do them too quick, if I do them slower. I'm dead... Basically my instant delete or die tactic vs him is dead and he's unbeatable 1v1 anymore... Next example is ryze, who is just wtf after 1 item... Release graves (after rework) next example, he is still strong, but ppl that know how to play him, got bored and the others are too lazy to leanr so he felt down a bit of the pick rate... Yorick atm is a bit wtf aswell... even if I know how to play vs him and pretty much counter his movement, his base damage is pretty unstable... ANd don't make me even speak about Kog or Brand... These 2 are just wrong... especially Brands hit boxes, that hit without touching you. And clearly none of you know what's gonna happen to Kata and you claim she's broken and needs rework. Her E gets lower CD, her W is moved to one of her other skills which means it can be at her passive and trigger every 1-2 secs, her Q and W get reworked into FULL DAMAGE spells, which means her combo will have WAAAAAAAAY more damage and it will have less counter play. Only nerf in that is her 15% reduction and ward jump... I prefer to keep my low uselss kit than getting a broken one and feel a shamed every time I play her and win my game... Which will be hard, because the first 1-2 months the actual mains wont be able to play her, because of kiddos who hate her but wanna abuse her while OP... Clearly you got no idea what's behind the reworks yourself.. .EH?
Sounds like you are too focused on having to fight, and if one champion is stronger, then they are immediately OP. Here's a crazy counter-play you may not have thought of...if you can't 1 v 1 Malz at level 2, then just don't be in range of the voidlings, or any other abilities...don't fight. Start to learn power spikes for champions and match-ups and only fight when you are stronger.
