: Everybody's toxic and trolls?
I sometimes get gold players in my team (I get a mix of high silver and low gold usually), and usually the games are fine. There's the odd child now and then, but tonight has honestly been terrible for me. Most of my games have been full of racism, intentional feeding and general toxicity. I guess some parents forgot to hide the booze this weekend. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}

I'm envious of you, I've had several games were people are spamming racist remarks for their own amusement...

: > One thing I would like to see in the ranked games, is that if there is someone who leaves the game or sits idly by and does nothing at all to contribute to the team overall, they should be receiving a bigger loss of points compared to those who play genuinely. I initially thought about reducing the points loss for everyone else if they're faced with someone being afk in their team, but I think that might be exploited because you can pair up and duo in the same queue. Or possibly even basing the points gains and losses on both the overall team victory/loss as well as the actual gameplay scores from individual players (this way at least people who are in the lowest leagues but play genuinely will eventually be split from those who intentionally ruin it). I figured that because the "stats" section on the client can pull up so much information about the data of your games, that it might be possible to accomplish this? This would've been enough text to underpin your issue. So basically you want 2 things: 1) Harsher punishment for people leaving the game 2) Counting in individual performance To 1) I think it would be the best solution to simply tighten the already existing "Leaver Buster": 1st infraction: 30 min. 2nd infraction: 2 hours. 3rd infraction: 24 hours 4th infraction: 7 days Basically like they do it in CS:GO To 2) This one is a lot harder to implement and it was discussed on these boards a lot already. I believe it is nearly impossible to factor in individual performance to a satisfactory degree. It would take a lot of time to explain why, so this link below should answer your questions, the discussion is rather old and about overwatch, but i think it is relatable to LoL. https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/4sgx1w/how_mmrrank_is_calculated_should_individual/

Just some more options that could be implemented to push away those who want to intentionally ruin games, so that the rest of us can continue with hopefully more genuine games! ^^ I wasn't sure if it could be done, but I just assumed that because they have the information about the stats on each game there might be something they could do for that. : So here's the deal. Your team has 4+you players. Enemy team has 5 players. 9 variables, 1 constant. Out of the 9 variables there's equal chance for a player to be inting or not right? Alright So each player has 20% impact in their teams (in a perfect scenario). **** Suppose : Out of the 5 enemy variables all of them can be trolls. Out of the 4 team-mates all of them can be trolls. If you NEVER troll, and ALWAYS play PERFECTLY - even if 9 people are trolling, you should win. There is no such thing as "only my team trolls" - if you take a normal sample-size. Yea, we all had 20+ loss streaks, we also had 20+ win-streaks due to "not too smart" enemy players. Silver is an ELO, where you can easily 1v9 - most of the smurfs I know (me included), had 90%+ win-rates until we reached plat 5. You're overthinking the whole scenario. Improve, adapt, overcome - and you'll climb IF YOU DESERVE TO.

: Why am I only gaining 18+ LP?
I think it is to do with your MMR or the MMR of your opponents compared to your own team. If your MMR is higher than your current league or lower than your opponents, you gain more LP for a win and vice versa less if the enemy team is lower or your MMR is lower than your actual rank. I think that's how it works but I might be wrong!

: Need chat block option, for my self!
In all honesty, I sometimes find myself hoping there was this option as well - or at least an option for players to voluntary request a permanent mute placed on their account by Riot. Each person is their own character, and as partially true as it may be for people here saying that it's only a matter of "self-control", unfortunately it's not a privilege everyone has straight off the bat. For example: I have bipolar disorder but the diagnosis was well into my adulthood, and although I manage it relatively well these days (though I still have my moments here and there), I remember the times when I could not. Other times it may not be due to any condition at all and simply just the personality of the individual, but the common theme between it all is that self-awareness comes before self-control. Only you know how your mind works at the end of the day, so while others may criticise you for having a lack of self-control currently, I just want to drop a post by saying kudos to you for having self-awareness; at least you're heading in the right direction! :) {{sticker:slayer-jinx-catface}}

I've only had it in a couple of games, but I recently done my 10 placements for ranked, and ended up losing the majority of them because others were getting constant high ping spikes throughout the whole game, so it's definitely an issue.

: What should I do to climb in rankeds?
Hiya! I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do, but I wanted to find out how to play my role (support) better this morning, so I spent a couple of hours watching some videos of master/challenger teams playing in Korea on YouTube. Picked up a lot of tips about Soraka and Morgana, and when I went back to try it out, I ended up getting S+ and honour from my teammates in all 3 games. I wanted to do it because I was looking at the "stats" section on the client and noticed that compared to other support players, I do really well in the "income" section, but other parts I wasn't doing so great in, like "utility" and "roam" and stuff. But since I tested out what I had watched and picked up, all of them ended up much, much higher now. I was watching videos from a channel called "DomisumReplay". I don't know who they are, but the videos on there are really good if you're wanting to watch someone else playing your champion and see what items they buy, how they play around the map and how they trade in lane and team fights. ^^

There is this phrase that was drilled into me when I was a child, and it has stuck with me ever since: "a foolish man speaks and a wise man listens". If you read back on your own chat logs, you will see that you actually had the right idea at one point when you said "muted". Granted, you didn't actually need to say it in the first place, and you could have just went ahead and muted them and thereafter engaged in no further discussion, but you are caught in the terrible habit of "having the last word" which is present in so, so many people. The sooner you break that habit, the better. Punishment goes hand in hand with rehabilitation, so take in what went wrong and identify it. Not everyone out there will constantly put you down for a few bad decisions here and there - because we all make them. So, the next time when you find yourself in a similar predicament, choose to be the wise person rather than the foolish one. Have a good day! {{sticker:vlad-salute}}

: Do you think that my PERMAMENT ban was deserved?
I think a lot of it comes down to personal preference really whether someone takes offence to someone being mildly "passive aggressive" or not. Personally, it doesn't bother me so long as it doesn't go over the line and out of control. The world has adapted into a place for the politically correct, and video gaming is a nice escape (most of the time) from it. There's also the issue of ambiguity in context; a lot of the time it can be difficult to gauge the intended tone in regards to things people may say. Owing partially to that reason, I tend not to get myself in a fluster over what others say on the internet. Furthermore, there's also the issue with language barriers. There are plentiful of words and phrases that will be received in different ways, "useless" is a good example of precisely that. I assume it's one of the words flagged up in the automated system, but it's not always necessarily a bad word subject to the context it's used in. One other factor I often see as well is the behaviour of some streamers, though not all, including some of the more popular channels. They can often become quite abrupt when reacting to their games and blow off steam with several profanities. I imagine the majority of the player base for League are teenagers and young adults, all of whom are not fully matured and easily influenced. They may think they're not - as we all did at that age - but they truly are. I rarely see or hear of in-game punishments being handed out to those streamers, yet at the same time I would understand why a younger person would compare their situations to others and beg to ask the question: "Why?". I'm not too familiar with how the punishment system works, but a permanent ban in respect of the chat logs you attached to me personally seems excessive if there has been a considerable amount of time passed since your previous punishment; though to others, it may not. If someone finds themselves on their last warning, and it has been quite a while since their account had any punishment against it, and the issue was relatively mild and chat-based yet they still played within the rules for everything else, I don't quite understand what the harm would be in issuing a permanent chat restriction in place of a permanent ban. Not everything is gloomy the older you get, thankfully!
