: Exactly. New fresh account should start there.
People buying new lvl30 accounts also pay to get them elo boosted. The placement doesn't matter to these people, they'll just pay a bit more to get them where they want. Riot only bans them after they've spent some money in skins. This gets you banned from boards.
: Another schmuk bites the dust
Careful, last time I brought this stuff up, I got a ban from the boards.
: Mastery Levels
So you want to flex on people when you do something skillful, by showing an emote bought with currency instead of earned being skillful like it is now. Wat.
: Match up issues
You have to be brought down to the 50% winrate, so after some wins the system rigs it for you to lose. Such is LoL.

This is one of those things Riot says. You report a zero-tolerance word, see how quick you get an instant feedback message, and notice the offender doesn't play any more matches for at least 2 weeks. INSTANTANEOUS. The fact is most of your reports do NOTHING in the automated system. Those not in verbal or hate speech are virtually useless. But Riot doesn't want you to clearly see through the report system, doesn't want you to understand they do nothing against people that require manual review to be punished, doesn't want you to realize trolling is free.
: Mastery lvl bug
It's been going on for months, but you'll need to play MORE to compensate for it, so the bug is overall profitable for Riot and not likely to be fixed just yet.

: player agression
Not everyone... I only get salty when people do this in ranked. Because there's two modes, and normal is for fun and testing, and ranking is to compete. And I think most people understand this... Why they get mad in normal, or short of troll when picking in ranked, are different questions.

They only have an effect if you actually BUY the armour or MR, and the majority of players below Diamond are more concerned with building as much damage as possible regardless of the teamcomps. The OP is a classic example of this. Looking through the match history and in the last 20 matches on Vayne, the only defensive item he has built was a spirit visage. No QSS, NO GA, always building beserker's greaves even when faced with a team consisting of Elise, Nasus, Jhin and Thresh.

: « U ban my champ »
I'm with you on this one.
: The banning system is a joke (again)
Always keep your chat disabled in-game. Otherwise, ban, ban, BAN.
: Dear Riot - Can you punish AFK more please?
While I am all for increasing the punishment of people that deserve to be punished, because the game needs to get rid of a lot of people, or at least force them to behave... The biggest problem here is that their client is SO BAD, the moment I'm risking losing MORE lps and extra punishment due to a bugsplat at loading or a lagging champ select or a lag out... I am myself quitting LoL.
: Dodge.
This is basically all YOU can do. Dodge. Or if you stay, report them at the end (if you like wasting whatever the match lasts, the lps, and an extra minute writing the report or several writing a ticket, because it's unlikely Riot is doing anything about them). Don't let them get to you, because the moment you say in-chat two or three key words to trigger the automated system, YOU are banned... specially if there are more than one of them together reporting you. Now Riot? THEY could do a lot more than this. You have to wonder why they won't crack down on trolls, griefers and inters.

I was fully expecting 4 bots, that's why I pick a carry instead of testing champions, and play beginners to quickly win 1v5. My question was more "what is up with all 4 being disconnected at the beginning"? Are they being hosted together from a single server or something like that? How can they make it easier for Riot to shut them down by block? Ah, that's right, they won't get banned until they are sold to someone, and they get a good bunch of skins?
: Stop releasing new champions this fast-paced. New champion (after Aphelios) already announced.

: Thoughts about matchmaking
Matchmaking is rigged to hinder your progression and force you to play more, instead of allowing you to achieve your deserved rank quickly, stagnate, and play less. The more you play, the closer you'll get to an artificially forced 50% winrate. As time passes, more stable your rank becomes. Either you flash into a good rank quick, or you get hardstuck in elo hell forever.
Rioter Comments
: No grade after games

: Chat restrictions hold a very high reform rate. In the past, there were smaller time bans for accounts punished with verbal toxicity, but it was swapped out with chat restrictions since more players reformed. That doesn't mean everyone will, but enough to warrant the use of this penalty. --- > 2nd, Most people who get a CR just end up trolling the games they are in. I'll need a source for this statement. It doesn't sound realistic. --- > 3rd, I have proved this before, and if needed, I will prove it again (when I have the time), CR's are given out based on the QUANTITY of reports you receive. I I don't see any evidence in your statement. If quantity of reports were what matters, you'd see tons of cases where people were punished with clean logs. We don't see this though, suggesting it's the behavior displayed that counts. --- > 4th, Once you are CR'd, your account goes to '0' honour No, it goes to honor 1. If you're already at honor 1 when you get a chat restriction, then it's set to 0. But that means you've been punished at least twice. --- > and it's impossible to get back thus you cannot earn rewards and so, like point 2, why would you bother trying to win games if you cannot get rewards. If you don't improve your behavior, you won't climb in honor. Those that do improve, climb back.
The only reform value of the ban system is players getting hit by flaming when someone ruins their matches, switch to ruining other people's games by inting/griefing/trolling instead of flaming (as not to get chat restricted and honor locked again), starting the cycle for someone else. In the end, you have a lot less flaming, sure, but the game is rapidly abandoned by anyone more concerned with ACTUAL GAMEPLAY than having a "clean" chat, effect that could've been easily reproduced by using the mute feature. Oh, and considering how quickly premades get you banned if you antagonize them, there's only a limited number of people believing what Riot says about number of reports having the same effect as a single one, as it is clearly to muddle things up, in order to avoid having people clearly understanding how the automated system works and more easily exploiting/avoiding it.

Riot support is totally separate from the company, you guys seem to put everyone on the same Pot, every single employee from the office has NOTHING to do with player support, they have different roles like: art, music, concept, management, animation, sound FX etc. Now when it comes down to support, Riot has specifically hired 3rd parties to take care of that matter, if there's someone to blame, then it's the support manager overseeing the activity (or supposed to), you cannot blame Riot as a company or every of it's own employees since they have nothing to do about it. Thus i feel the pain of your sittuation, it's never a good thing to see people getting special or different treatment.

Money. So much money in this.
: Just had a thought.
Because it's easier to give the appearance that you're moderating your game by using an automatic bot system to pick up key words and ban without context, than actually looking into negative behavior impacting the gameplay. But so many people in the boards will defend this, like muting wasn't possible. They wouldn't have survived 5 minutes in a 1st person shooter a couple years ago.

I mean I'm doing everything possible to win and yet i lose with 4 apes in my team. Actually that's the reason u 'higher elo guys' keep calling me 'hardstuck' Once again, rito should start punishing trolls, cuz they know no1 cares bout that elo and they can do whatever they want. I keep telling, this is the kind of bug that makes you play more to compensate, and as such will still be there come season 20. Same as the vods bug forcing you to watch more esports. By the way, this is not a client issue to fix with a patch (there have been at least 4 since I started seeing it), it's a tracking issue on their servers or whatever. It's not just that you don't get it visually displayed, the progression they keep of your champs on their side remains frozen, besides of tokens or chests not being granted... They could hot fix this without patching anything, dev'ing it up on their side.

Permanent mute, or IP bans (yes i know there are ways around it, but many people arent that savvy with it). Require some sort of identification to even make an account... The problem is Riot's approach, it only perpetuates the problem. They need to think outside the box and be creative, not use an account ban, and think that did ANYTHING. OR, fix the problems that make people so toxic in the first place.
Like a terrible matchmaking frustrating people until they say a bad word and get banned while blatant trolls and griefers get away with everything? I agree.
Leebac (EUW)
: Starting to be little frustrating
Let's see if I can say this without "inciting conflict" or "mocking" nobody in particular, so that they feel they have to remove my messages and ban me again! The matchmaking is designed to hinder your progression so you play more, instead of achieving your deserved rank quick, stagnate and play less as a result. That's why you get a forced 50% winrate, most matches decided by luck on the player distribution. It IS very frustrating indeed, but if you point it out you'll be quickly shot down here.
Majordx (EUW)
: Maybe players wont agree with this but i think solo que should be solo. Not duo.Im 100% sure that this will fix a lot for solo que. They can at least try it out. With evry year solo que becomes unstable as hell.
Or have the chance to opt out of games with premade duos. It's a death sentence, and to aggravate things, they block the surr vote together and keep you hostage.
: I got trolled and flamed during a game and also got chat restriction
Yeah, you said a few words that would trigger the automatic system filter, the context doesn't matter. The hilarious part is that griefers like this go unpunished as long as they keep the chat clean, if he flamed he's getting a chat restriction just like you, like if the offense was the same.
maxG100 (EUW)
: not being able to remake
With 1 afk, it takes 2 votes to remake. With 2 or more afk, just 1 vote. Yes, if only 1 person is missing, your 3 remaining teammates can keep you hostage in the match. That's why it's a vote, and not an automatic command triggered by a single person.
: Credit is due - appreciation thread
If you make an appreciation thread about a system so broken you're surprised when it works after a hundred failures, you're going to muddle the severity of the issue, and be counterproductive towards a needed improvement. Or you would, if any board but NA mattered, anyway.
: Yes, that's indeed inting. Inting basically means "intentional feeding". Try sending a ticket to [Riot support](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us) telling them about your case. They will have a person look into it. The boards only have players like you mainly.

Andrey0345 (EUNE)
: Why? Seems to make perfect sense. The more you win, the higher you are. If you can't win, you probably are not good enough. Of course the game will try to stop you from having extremely high winrate, it will give enemy team better players and your team worse players. But will it stop your climb? Depends on how you play.
Look, a week ago i was 1-1 in gold promos, and the matchmaking started assigning me noobs and trolls to cool me right down. A week later i'm silver 4, 0lps, and testing the demotion shield. If a week ago I had won 2 matches, I'd be gold4, 50% winrate. If I lose 2 or 3 matches now, I'm bronze 1, 50% winrate. The only way to proclaim that you have the rank you deserve with 50% winrate stable is admitting anything under challenger is just the same rank, and you're just as bad as I am, just got luckier with teammates and ranked up faster.
: No bull here. You derank from 4th divisions to lower tiers based on your MMR. Your MMR must simply have been really low. Longest I went was about 8 losses in a row (at 0 LP, last seasons preseason) - and I didn't demote.
If you lose 10 matches after going down to 0lps your mmr is going to rise? No, it's going down as well. The shield isn't gonna last you 21 losses unless you got from iron 4 to silver 4 without losing a single match and THEN lose the 21 matches in a row while at 0lp and new in silver, because your mmr is so boosted it takes a time to catch up and drop below the demotion threshold. The point in any case was that the demotion exists and it's not hard under regular circumstances to go from silver to bronze, you just need to trust the matchmaking.
: > [{quoted}](name=PurpleOrk,realm=EUW,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=5VRfcG9x,comment-id=000000000000,timestamp=2019-11-24T13:52:08.650+0000) > > You say it like that doesn't exist already. This being said, Riot is also known for being extremely greedy AND poor decision makers, the only reason they aren't all asking for change on the street is that LoL has a base of money spending players that will never allow them to ruin themselves completely. If there was any money for them in changing the matchmaking, say, to compete with dota2 for example, they'd sure at least try. But while they are unchallenged, this matchmaking forcing you to play more and more just to approach 50% winrate regardless of what you actually deserve benefits them, while having no reason to change it. It took a friend of mine 21 losses in a row last season to demote to plat 1. Demoting in the 4th divisions is insanely hard. As to this topic, I don't think the ranked queue needs a rework, but maybe some tweaks. Especially to the placement ratings when preseason ends. Hopefully they learned from their mistakes last year.
I deranked I think two times season 8 and three times season 9 from silver to bronze. Get your bull out of here.
: Still, shouldn't we keep protesting? Riot is know for hearing out the player's feedback. 1 positive change could be, you can leave the game without a penalty or LP loss, when there is at least one person in either team that goes afk for more than 5 min. Another change I have in mind is: You cannot pick a champion in ranked, if you haven't played at least 10 pvp games with that champ in the last month. Another huge change would be: The LP gain or loss after each game, scale with how well you did in that game. For example, I win a game but I have D-, instead of getting 20 LP. I'd get around 8-10 LP. I lose a game but I have S+, instead of losing 15 LP, I lose 5-8 LP. A drastic change could also be: Delete promos. If I reach 100 LP I get promoted instantly. Also bring back DEMOTION. If I'm Silver IV and I lose 10 games in a row, I get demoted to bronze I. I feel like all these changes would make ranked a better experience, and people could actually feel that they play well and they deserve to climb every time they get LP.
> Also bring back DEMOTION. If I'm Silver IV and I lose 10 games in a row, I get demoted to bronze I. You say it like that doesn't exist already. Go 0lps in s4 and lose 10 matches in a row. : I'm pretty sure that Riot treats premade honors as if they didn't even exist. Meaning they're worth only fraction of a honor from a stranger. If it wasn't the case, people would be abusing the system and progressing very fast with honors.
Yeah but, as he points out, reports are much more rare between premades. Reports are what makes the difference. I get 1-2 honors per match playing support, 2k games a year, and I'm lucky leveling up honor rank twice, because in soloq reports fly around just for pointing out when someone is doing something wrong, let alone DOING something wrong in the eyes of someone else. And it doesn't matter if the reports are baseless and you don't get punished, your honor progress is slowed down to almost zero.
