Plans were to open around today, but last update I received was there are errors in the transfer service due to preseason changes, and it may take a significant amount of work to support these features in transfer. : LeagueClientux.exe consuming so much bandwidth before and after I log in
Hey guys, LeagueClientUx.exe is the UI part of league client, the piece that gives league client a window you can see and interact with. It uses "networking" to talk to LeagueClient.exe. LeagueClient.exe is what actually does most of the business such as patching, talking to our account/chat/matchmaking servers etc. This "networking" is from one program on your machine to another and never actually travels over a network, so shouldn't be eating in to your actual internet bandwidth. This networking is a connection on the "loopback" network interface to "localhost" (IP address 127.0.0.1) your own computer. However, depending on the tool that's measuring your network usage, you might be counting this kind of loopback network traffic towards your actual internet usage. That said, LeagueClientUx.exe does also use some real internet bandwidth for itself, where it fetches some things straight from the internet, such as news pages, without going through LeagueClient.exe. So it is possible that something could cause LeagueClientUx to be consuming too much bandwidth. We'll take a look on our end to see if we can spot an abnormal amount of internet bandwidth being used by LeagueClientUx.exe. I ask that on your end, in your own investigation you make sure that you are not counting the localhost, loopback kind of traffic in your measurement (or count it separately). Lastly, in case we can't reproduce the issue ourselves you might be able to help us investigate by sending us a capture of the network traffic in to and out of your computer. This can be gathered with a tool like wireshark (https://www.wireshark.org). If you try this please only share your packet capture privately by contacting our player support, as packet captures contain everything that goes over your computer's network connection. Additionally as a point of interest, have things been any better since the All-Star hub was removed?

Hey guys, I just wanna mention that this isn't being ignored. Our top priority is resolving the issue permanently as it's happening repeatedly. Hi Yiphobia, The "OR" condition determines whether you get the yellow "plus" portion or not. If you have no interest in Nexus Blitz, win 2 PvP games and you get 10 snowdown tokens. If you want the Nexus Blitz portion **also**, you need to do the "+" mission to complete it - win a game of nexus blitz. If you do the first part, it'll complete without the +1 nexus token. If you do the second part, you get both the snowdown and nexus blitz tokens.

Hey Fendokil, First I wanna say thank you for the calm and collected query here - it really is appreciated over some of the more aggressive posts we get. Secondly, apologies to you and the community for not messaging actively at the time, we were heads down on looking into the issue and had messaging posted in the client while we investigated - we don't always get time to give a breakdown, especially with so many languages on our European servers. We don't have any concrete information to give at the moment, we have teams looking into the causes rather than the symptoms - we managed to get things back up and running but the reason for the instability is still being investigated. The first night we believed Nexus Blitz was potentially a cause but later determined it as a symptom, which is why we need to continue digging deeper. As it has repeated we're on high alert for it potentially happening again unfortunately, but in the interim we're looking into how we can prevent it and the root cause to resolve it fully. Again I appreciate your patience and level headed question on this <3

Hey guys, Due to the adjustment of removal of Division V as well as introducing two new tiers, MMR ranges for each division and tier have shifted. Additionally some people were moved up and down to accommodate this artificial change. This will result in LP gains and losses being different from what you were getting before. Preseason is a time to implement changes while the ranked season is over - your tier will be reset, and your MMR remains adjusting as it always has (which will determine your 2019 season placing). We made some changes today to make this transition a little less painful, so some players will notice that today, their LP gains and losses aren't as extreme as they were yesterday. That said, however, they won't be exactly the same as pre 8.24 due to these adjustments :-)

Hey guys, wanted to provide an update to this. We have made a few adjustments to make this preseason change a little less painful feeling, so hopefully your LP gains and losses should feel a bit more normalised. Note that there will most likely still be some changes due to MMR boundaries and Division V removal causing adjustments, but this will not impact your MMR or Ranked 2019 season starting, and is purely a preseason "feel" due to how we've shifting things around. Hopefully these changes make the preseason ranked feel a little less janky! ^_^

I sorta answered it in my response just after you, however just to clarify - the loss is actually what caused the demotion. There is no protection from the "manual shift" up to Div4, and if you are in a promo you risk that drop if your MMR is expected to be below. The bump to Div4 is an artificial one which causes some MMR/Div instability. To give a more in depth example. - If you were Gold V with low MMR, close to demotion - Halfway through your promos - You got bumped up to Gold IV - Your MMR is actually low enough that you shouldn't be Gold IV, but Silver I - Lost your promo - You can no longer "drop" to Silver V - so you go to the next logical step down.

If you play enough games in preseason, you will see the LP gains normalize as your MMR and rank match up - but for now due to the adjustment of how MMR works and the removal of Division V, your MMR (which was unadjusted from the 5 division system) does not match up with your division expectation (which WAS adjusted). This is something that will be 100% corrected with reseeding in the new season, but does not happen in preseason as the ranked season is over at this point.
