What we do have in Sofia is a PoP (Point of Presence), where ISP's can send their traffic to Riot Direct - taking it off the "internet" and more direct to our servers in Frankfurt. It would be fairly unfeasible to have servers in every single country unfortunately - but we can do what we can to make it quicker/easier to get to Frankfurt, where the servers are located at the moment.

Right now it's looking like an issue with our peering in BIX (Bulgaria Internet Exchange) - this is where traffic from ISP's in Bulgaria and surrounding regions enters the Riot Direct network. Our Riot Direct networking team are currently investigating those ports to see if they can confirm this is the case, and mitigate in some way. This may result in us removing peering temporarily, which would result in a small increase in ping - but hopefully alleviate the issue.

Generally each week on a Wednesday morning there are alternations between hardware maintenance (where we perform necessary hardware repairs and maintenance to try to ensure stability) and patches. There's sometimes an odd exception where a patch is delayed or we don't feel the need to perform a hardware maintenance, however we generally advise that most Wednesday mornings will probably have some form of impact - whether that be ranked disabled or entire game downtime (Depending on what needs to be done)

Hi 49Undefeated, When there are large scale server issues affecting a large amount of players, loss prevented is enabled. This results in ranked being disabled, LP gains being reduced, and LP loss being disabled for losing a game.

This is the expected behaviour, as: - A lot of wins are gained from the opposition experiencing problems (so giving full LP is kinda gross) - The losses aren't necessarily because of skill (instead, due to technical problems) So LP gains are halved, and LP loss is disabled, for the duration of "loss prevented" being enabled.

Hey DrAnders, I can confirm your game no longer exists (un?) fortunately. This is usually caused by a game server experiencing issues and taking itself offline to prevent further problems - these games do not show in match history and do not incur any LP changes etc. - it's as if they never existed. You should be free to continue and join another game, hopefully with 100% less disappearing!

You're welcome to open a post in the Help and Support sub board with your LeagueClient logs the next time this happens (you get an update in the middle of a match) and we can take a further look - however as I've already explained the client is literally designed to prevent such actions from occurring unless it has no other choice. The moment you enter a game, a "patcher lock" is created which tells the client "I'm currently ingame - if I relaunch, do not check for patches". This bypasses patch checks temporarily, for the duration of your game or until a certain amount of time has expired. While I understand from your perspective you're experiencing this, the client is designed to avoid this unless it absolutely has to. While you indicate you have a Patriot SSD etc, I can only speak for how the client is designed and functions - it will not patch mid game unless it absolutely **has** to, and the only reason I can think of for this to happen is file corruption. Again, please feel free to upload your latest LeagueClient logs to Help and Support if/when this issue occurs, and we can take a deeper look at the cause.

Hi vlad1989, Part of the new client is actually that you will **not** receive patches while in a game. The only way you would receive an update is if your client found corrupt files that it *required* to repair. When you enter a game, patcher is disabled until your game has finished unless it absolutely cannot continue without it. If this is something you're encountering regularly, I'd advise checking for third party programs or hard drive issues that may be causing the client to require repairing/redownloading essential files.

I'll be honest I'm not 100% versed in the ways of the API but I'm pretty sure it's on a per-match basis on purpose (aggregate sites do their own work from single game ID's)

I can't say for sure, but a majority of this definitely is already exposed via the API as has been mentioned. You can find out more about the Developer API [HERE](https://developer.riotgames.com). As an example, MATCH-V3 definitely exposes things like "First Tower Kill", Bans, etc.

I think you may have an incorrect IP set up in your hosts file (editing hosts is a bad idea X-D) Can you try opening your hosts file with a text editor, such as notepad. Do you see any entries in there for l3cdn.riotgames.com? If you did not receive these, please check your spam folder - it sounds like you're not getting our emails for some reason - which is usually due to a spam filter being used. : Yesterday i had no problems anymore on euw (only on other servers) with the resolution but after testing it today i have problems in euw aswell

I find it most interesting that it's: A) Intermittent B) Doesn't carry across all servers We use the same game files across each server (just with language differences), so that's really weird... As mentioned in that thread we are investigating it - unfortunately I'm not aware of any ETA at this time, but it does seem to be a known issue with that native resolution :-(
