: So, I started playing league in August 2018, but stopped playing because I didn’t understand the game. Then in early 2018 I started playing again, still as otp soraka (I got pushed into playing support and never learned how to cs or do anything else) I was really really bad, wouldn’t ward, or do anything useful. I did placements and got placed in b1 but sunk all the way down to b5. Been in b5 for a bit, until I wanted to have more control over the game, I wanted to learn mid but wasn’t sure how to pick a champ I was gonna learn, so I literally googled “midlane champs lol girls” and champs like ahri, lux etc showed up. (What a strat lmao, ya I’m a girl so gotta play a pretty champ u know) I went into the store and stumbled upon Katarina and immediately fell in love with her looks and skins and started playing her in like March or April 2018. I was really bad, thought my w and r were useless so I basically just did not use them, I also used exhaust in every game. I never gave up and kept playing kat. I managed to learn how to play her and now I few months later I own all of her skins and have over 600K mastery points on her spread over all of my accounts. I got from b5 to g5, which I’m proud of since this is my first season playing the game and I’m a girl who aren’t known for their skills lol. Anyway, now, I’m trying to get better so I can reach plat next season! I might make it, who knows. Well.. that’s my story. PS if anyone from riot reads this: we want a katarina emote! {{sticker:katarina-love}}

: I've returned to play League of Legends after 2.5 years of being away from this game (or log into for 1-2 games just to don't touch it for months again). I've been playing actively in the last ~2-2.5 months, and it was a blast how much this game changed. New runes, new additions to the map (Herald in Summoner rift, jungle fruits(?) or whatever these exploding/healing/vision giver things are), reworked and new champions. My friendlist when i returned, was mostly grey from the people who stopped playing aswell (I had something like 120 people), to the point i had only 20ish online whom from could ask. In boredom i was, i turned to SoloQ Ranked relatively quickly, as i became competitive in the years of absence from the game. I was that kind of guy you most likely wouldn't want in your ranked game in the first place, since i was experimenting with new items, runes and new/reworked champions (Don't worry, i didn't go AP Miss fortune). Yet, i got to Gold in soloq relatively easily, may it had to do with the fact i still played other MOBAs while being away from League of Legends. Switched to 3v3, as i really get bored if i don't play ranked and kept testing and trying out ideas with champions which was reworked, changed or just haven't played before and wanted to give it a try. Met a lot of people, who added me after the games and bound new friendship whom with i skyrocketed to Gold 5 in 5v5 Flex aswell. Fun fact: i was placed at Silver4 at every queue, may my MMR totally reseted over the years. Now i'm just waiting for pre-season for all these new changes to dive into Ranked once again and go for Platinum next season in SoloQ or even further.
Welcome back. Can't imagine experiencing all those map/gameplay changes at once!

: Hopefully this is good enough for Dear Whiski's ever-so high standards (like Shakespeare was the best - not even knowing that of the vast Hungarian literature). lol "Wild Lands of Ranked and Disappointments On the darkest nights, all the curious minds wonder: am I good enough to wander into the wild lands of ranked; will I be skilled enough to hold myself as well as I hope to be with all my dreams, skills and beliefs? Does 5600 battles from the first snow to the leaves falling down on the _Broken Bridge_ above the ever _Howling Abyss_ that shallowed than have forgotten the „Watchers” (who even remembers their fight? – those few still alive shall never forget; keeping the gates forever shut) matter in the grand scheme of things? How can one’s nervousness and excitement stay alive for the longest time, when the road was accompanied by harrowing experiences thus far? Not only by feeling worthlessness reaching to the shine that of platina and gold, but also by the direct sabotage of those with a darker heart – many paving your climb with malicious _intent_. Winter-time has not come yet, but my road seems to end here, not Victorious in all three paths I could have chosen. But thus _that_ one question lies here: shall one go through and burn like a fragile flower in the dawn, and never come back here again, or just play for one’s own enjoyment?"
: Recently, i began to climb that ladder really fast when i picked up midlane{{champion:69}} {{champion:99}} and (I played adc for majority of the season) , got out of B3 to B2, then proceeded to climb even further up. After couple of good win streaks i managed to get to B1 with{{champion:145}} . Now im in B1 promos with 2 loses, my mmr is still pretty good at this point, but I think remaining promos will be hard. Give me your best advice on what should i do to win my promo series.
Redmercy made a video that might help. Good luck! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm84L4Otwck
: There I was, In promo to Gold V, 2 wins, 0 losses. Lookin' good i thought. I was chill, calm and ready to win the last game. But oh boy, did I not know what I was getting myself into. First game, i'm jungling. My ADC Vayne died twice in first two minutes, so she decided there is no point in trying, bought mobi boots and run it down mid. She ended 2-14 and didn't even manage to get enough gold to buy 5 tears lul. Oh well, can't win them all I said as I was sending ticket to Riot with running-it-down-mid footage. But alas, this Vayne didn't get punished and played happily ever after. Second game, jungling again. This time, my ADC Ezreal is at least trying. Ends up 3-10, his support with similar score - they were both unhappy so they blamed their jungle (me) all game long. Oh well. At least I have one more try. So I tried top instead. Didn't play that well, neither did my team. Game was close, but we lost. And that is my story on why I hate ranked. Is that what you wanted to hear Riot? Or is it a fable on how cool ranked is? Cuz it's a fcuking shitshow of grief, int and ragequit so i play normals instead :) It's bettter for my nerves.
Ouch, that hurts... bad. I had a similar experience in my promos to Silver. I kinda went on tilt as a result and lost a bunch of games. But I'm getting serious again and rebooting the climb.

: Goal: Gold for victorious skin. Placed in Silver 5 and spending the first part of the season pretty much stuck there with no real cares for maining a champion, I played anything I thought would be fun and I could perform well at. I was doing fine just playing what I felt like in every game, got to low silver 3 before season end was announced, decided I should probably start playing something seriously to get that sweet skin. As I'm writing this I'm in a promotion series to silver 1 with a win and no losses. Wish me luck getting to gold before the ranked season ends everyone! {{sticker:vlad-salute}}

: I have a dream that finally came true: Become Diamond! I had this goal since season 6, but I never ever got to Diamond. I was always struck in plat 3-5, but this year is different. Now, today, I managed to get to it! What a road, what a long trip to finally feel the prestige that you are _actually_ a good player. I got hit hard by the ADC changes mid season, so I almost thought that I wouldn't make it (I dropped a lot of tiers). Thanks, adc's got some individual buffs and I used those to get back! I think that I have to set new goals for the next seasons as it takes more than one!
Seriously impressive. How many years have you been playing? I've mained ADC the past couple seasons but switching back to Support has reignited my climb. My Bard is kinda scary. {{champion:432}}
: Goal: Gold+ Status: Achieved But jesus was it annoying due to the forced 50% win rate match making which rubberband punishes you for a winning streak so hard you start to question life. Started by being placed in Gold 3 after placements with high MMR, managing to go to gold 1 promos for Plat 5 then it all began downhill very fast and 20 game losing streak in a months time playing only 2/3 games per day to minimize fatigue and tilt (also because being busy with work). Ending up being stuck between S2 and S1 for 3/4 months duo to crazy rubberband and the occasional high elo smurf. Not to mention the constant nerfing of my main role, the Jungle and/or the champions I play/masteries they use due to another champion abusing it due to their kit. Every time I started a winning streak it would be followed by a losing one in games which could not be won due to afks or the opposing team being way more skilled/co-ordinated then mine. (smurfs, pre-mades, even sometimes 2 sets of pre-mades).
Yeah, I had a brutal losing slide after I narrowly missed getting promoted to Silver and then I decided it might be a good idea to start learning a new role without switching to Normal Draft. I will never do that again. Lesson learned!

: Hello Sorry to bother, but I'm still missing my second set of hextech rewards, and it's been 8 hours from your message. Should I send in a ticket with proof of doing all 6 missions? Anyways, this event was a blast. Thank you for organizing it!
Hrmm... not sure what the issue is but if you submit a Player Support ticket, one of our agents will be happy to look at your case. Before doing that, however, it might be worth just logging out of your client and logging back in (if you haven't already) to see if that helps. Sorry for the trouble!
Ninetales (EUNE)
: Is this going to be solved soon?
I've been told the issue has been resolved and you should see the rewards shortly. Thanks for your patience and taking part in ARAM-arama. {{sticker:galio-happy}}
: Any progress so far? It's been 2 hours and I didn't think this would be a big problem{{sticker:sg-lux-2}}
The Missions team works out of the LA office so we occasionally experience delays when technical issues pop up while it's still middle of the night where they are.
PaladinNO (EUNE)
: Using the "with, as or against"-principle, but not adding a win condition too, when on a 24-hour timer is a perfectly agreeable solution. I think I had all 6 missions nailed in the first go, whether I played solo or with a premade - which was way easier than I had expected it to be. Hence my suggestion for more "hardcore" mission alternatives in the future to challenge the ARAM no-lifers (such as myself, having played 8350+ matches there). :) _On that note, I LOVED the Star Guardian event missions - that brought some proper challenges!_
PaladinNO (EUNE)
: I'd definitely like to see more like this in the future! An as ARAM OTP, having fled from the toxicity on Summoner's Rift, this event was spot-on for me! Though I'd like the option of a little more challenging missions. For example: >Play on the Howling Abyss with, as or against a champion from the PROJECT line OR Win a game of ARAM with a premade, where you or your premade play with a PROJECT skin Rewards would be the same, but...just for the sake of spicing things up. Perhaps choosing before entering the queue which version of the mission we want to do. But possible to opt back to the easy one if we see we run out of time.
In our initial pass at the "Luck of the Draw" missions, we had a win condition in place but we were concerned that the luck element of rolling a particular champ was already raising the difficulty of being able to complete the mission. As it turned out, I personally had very little trouble getting one of the required champs in my game. It was a bit experimental since we've never had a champ-roll RNG component in a mission before but I found the 'blow on the dice' luck aspect pretty enjoyable.
: Second chest reward is missing
Hey guys, Whiski here, the project lead for the ARAM-arama event. We're aware of some technical issues with the granting of Missions rewards. We're working on a fix and all earned rewards will be granted after this is resolved. Thanks for letting us know. And if you have any other feedback on the event, we'd love to hear it so we can decide whether you'd like to see more content like this in the future.

: All I want to know is..... how did you come up with the name?
The name started as a bit of a joke to be honest based on this cheesy way of making a product sound futuristic or new-and-improved: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=O-Rama However, we changed the "O-rama" to "ARAMA" for reasons that are hopefully obvious ;)
Suffer (EUNE)
: Thank you so much! I'd definitely be ready to climb if not for the rage and arguing issues.
: If you think about it... none of these advices are actually constructive if you are toxic in chat. You are not gonna improve and run into less frustrating situations by thinking insults instead of saying them or trying to avoid stuff. Like if you get mad at Tibbers killing you how are you gonna avoid that situation? Not insulting the Annie player directly also doesn't change your mentality. You are just hiding it. You don't solve issues by ignoring them. EDit: What I mean is you need to reflect on that situation and confront yourself.
My problem is that when I get frustrated, even though I don't rage in chat or int/feed, I just start playing really badly, taking stupid fights, face-checking bushes, roaming without vision. I have to watch my own frustration levels because it directly impacts my performance. Tilt looks different for different people, but it never raises the chances of winning.
Suffer (EUNE)
: Thank you! I never really blame my teammates though, just argue with them from time to time, but I do get your point. Focusing on what I can improve instead of my score and if it was a victory or defeat really should be better than what I was doing so far.
I can't give much climbing advice since I'm still a Bronze scrub, but I think the simple fact that you're aware of the mental pattern in which you're struggling means that you're on the right track. As Torpedosheep mentioned above, it's clear that you're putting a lot of pressure on yourself and that's always going to make it easier to snap. Even when things don't go your way, we're always here to listen and let you know we've all been in your position. Good luck this season, we're just at the start after all!
