: Client using way more resources that it should use, which causes a MAJOR FPS DROP
As a follow up for this thread, I just wanted to report that after we reverted the home page and had a look at what was causing the issue. We found a couple files relating to the pictures and videos that are loaded when the main page loads, these files ended up using more cpu then intended. This would continue even after the client was minimized and you were in game, potentially causing in game lag as well. These files actually have been present on the page for a while and just got worse as more were added. After tweaking the way they work, we're seeing a 25% decrease in cpu load and hopefully should lead to better performance after the rest of them are tweaked as well. Similar case, where the ms would go nuts, everyone went afk in the enemy team because ...well just look for yourself. It was from my recorded match. Occasionally this happens when a game server is bugs out or crashes during a game. Sorry you had to experience that.
: i sent you the logs. Firegirl edana sent you the logs on the same game, this feels relevant because i got all lag-related issues mentioned here while she didnt. we play on the same network, just 2 different comps. We'll do another game now and send you those logs as well, so you guys have a proper comparison. Edit: sorry for sending you doubles, i didnt pay attention to file names
Thanks I got the logs last night, will send them over to the engineers to have a look at. The only a couple things i can see offhand is what I told Die2Born last night, in the netlog the second to last number in the timeline shows app update delayed. I'm not sure if the number represented is number of packets or number of times delayed, but in the first log you sent maxed at 56, In the second log it maxed at 147. I'll need to check my own to see if this is normal or not, but honestly the engineers would have a better idea. The other number to look at is the 7th number in the list, which shows packet loss coming from network. The first set of logs sent to me by Firegil Edana (the wrong ones) had 0 packet loss the entire game. The second set that was sent to me maxed at 34 packets and the one i got from Die2Born maxed at 96. The numbers aren't terrible honestly but any packet loss will case game lag or hitching. Die2Born also mentioned that after installing Windows 7 updates the in game lag seems to have improved, so maybe that's something to try as well. We have seen this in the past where some Windows files or 3rd party files are causing either computer performance issues or network performance issues. If you run anything else while playing League(skype,curse voice, teamspeak), try shutting them down and playing a game. If it's better, try restarting them 1 by 1 and see if any of them makes a difference.

: No I don't think it has any to do with the 6.7 patch. Yesterday(12/04) I played some games, everything was ok. Today(13/04 till now), everything just lagged, only the client is fixed now since you guys updated something. Tried a reinstall, uninstalled some programmes, turned stuff off which was using cpu power. tried many things. And now I see my LoL client uses around 530.000 KB cpu power without playing a game. I don't think this is normal. and this is probarly the problem, because it is using so much CPU power. I have no idea why. And this is probarly why don't everyone has the same problem, some computers can actually handle this and others not.

Talked with our release team and nothing looks to be pushed out from their side yesterday that should be affecting the game performance, the only patch that was done was to the client side, which we reverted. If you feel comfortable doing so, your welcome to send \Riot Games\League of Legends\Logs\Game - R3d Logs\(latest date_r3dlog.txt) and \Riot Games\League of Legends\Logs\Network Logs\(latest date_netlog.txt), of your most recent game that had the fps drop to wulalowe@gmail.com. Nothing in these logs shows personal data but will help us determine what might be causing it.

: I just tried it, i had the same problems as all these guys here, the queue loads very slow and in game huge fps drops every minute. I can confirm the client works fine again. But I just tried 1 game and again... Huge fps drops and screen freezes every 30 seconds.
Thanks everyone for confirming the client at least behaving better. As for the in game lag, was this something that you noticed after the 6.7 patch or something that came about as of yesterday(13/04) when the client started lagging?

Hey guys, we think we might have figured out what was causing the lag and have reverted a change that was pushed out earlier. Can anyone confirm if the game/client lag is better?

We've been slowly adding routes for ISPs to directly connect to EUW but I don't believe that ISP has reached out to us yet for direct peering so unfortunately the packet loss could be anywhere along the path. Next time you start to experience lag feel free to run a MTR or a Tracert to 104.160.159.49 and that should give you an idea of where the problem might be.

The original post was taking into account our Turkey region which was enabled for a longer period due to further issues there, so your game that took place at 00:01am would not have been prevented. Sorry for the confusion.
