To be fair, in all my history on league, my Reports only resulted in stopping a "troller" twice.

: Riot, Soon to embrace extreme SJW ideologies
Riot has a god complex when it comes to morality. Now SJWs have become a thing, they want to hop onboard for virtue points.

: It kinda is, since it's directly related to the cause that's negatively impacting gamed, which is why ranked queue is down. But no, it doesn't specifically mention it.
Will making a new rune page corrupt my chances of getting my old ones back?
: This question shouldn't be relevant. The message of the ban is very clear: don't do this ever again. ------- I know for chat related bans, it is possible to drop punishment tiers after a very, very long time, but I'm not sure how it works for bans for intentionally feeding.
We are all human and we all get that one really bad game. A person can promise a month or months of good behaviour but asking for someone to never lose there temper ever is a bit much.
Hansiman (EUNE)
: Yes, it can happen without a warning. If you're breaking the rules to the extent it warrants a 14 day ban, Riot shouldn't warn you about it first. Or rather, you can say that it's a warning about an impending permaban if one doesn't improve.
That's just your opinion. A warning is always helpful.
GLurch (EUW)
: When you get the first chat restriction its around 3 months, for the second 6 months and for the 14 days ban 9 months.
9 months is way too long. You got any data to back that up?
: {{sticker:zombie-brand-facepalm}} We decide what is banned and what isn't....
"We" as in an AI Judge which can't understand sarcasm.
Gluck (EUW)
: The problem is the people who say "get cancer" seem to never get banned, the people who harrass team mates about deaths, the people who are racist, the people who use various swearing and insults... But then I would get 14 day or permaban for telling a tyler1 run it down mid 0-30-0 to just stop and play the game or for asking a flamer to shut up. I believe in banning people who are really toxic, but the system is broken and bans far too often people who weren't toxic and just got a little annoyed or angry about something and said some 'negative' things. The universe is filled with positives and negatives, as is society, and humanity. Riot needs to focus their system on the people who are genuinely nasty and toxic, and not some guys who just said some negative words or got in an argument.
This has been what I been trying to say.
: have you ever played world of Warcraft? I loved the WoW community, you could walk to a capital go to city general chat and just have banter for ages, even if it did get heated worst case you block the player and just carry on playing... here its like you block the player and carry on tilting as you cant exactly remove them from the game xD
I played WoW and that game is so chill. Toxicity is rare and even when if does happen its like no biggy.

Its so easy to have one bad day on league. Whats the point serving your sentence if they still want to keep the rewards you earned from you? To teach kids self control
"How dare you fuck up once". Sorry but first offences don't really call for year long reward removals.
: > if you get a first offence 10 game chat restriction and serve your sentence, I can't see why you still deserve to not receive a reward [...] You **do receive** them if you have served your sentence. Are you sure you didn't misunderstand something ?
First off do you mean the sentence as in the ten games right? (Not the three months after). Second, according to support, Riot seems on the fence about the issue. They are yet to announce who will be officially allowed to get what. I hope they are not going to be draconian about things, cause frankly it will damage any incentive for reformation.
: The point is that players have to prove they are not toxic anymore. Simply serving your sentence is not enough, we want players to reform. And if you've only recently received a 14-day ban (which means you're quite toxic, not just had a bad day) you most likely haven't changed your behaivor yet. After 3 months without a punishment though, you're on a good path of reforming in Riot's eyes.
I'm not talking the 14 day ban. I'm talking the chat restrictions (I'm not he op). If it was offence three, I would understand the need for a three month reform period for end of year rewards. But offence one and two? I'm not entirely sure what the situation is with the first two chat restrictions since they have not fully announced it, but if you get a first offence 10 game chat restriction and serve your sentence, I can't see why you still deserve to not receive a reward which takes a whole year of waiting. Also why is the three months from the reward date so important? I mean isn't that going to make any attempt to reform redundant cause you fucked up a little too late in the year? (Keep in mind I am only referring to first and possibly second offenders. Third offenders usually seem to have a serious problem from the get go.)
: exactly, if a complicated enough AI was inserted in to it maybe.... maybe a human based ban system would be more reliable in terms of understanding context but the manpower involved in that would be too expensive for rito to even consider. that said maybe less UI updates/graphics packets and more essential parts of the game like the leaverbuster and ban system to be more thoroughly developed. I don't know, what do you think?
I think riot needs to chillax and bring back the real tribunal. You are never going to remove toxic players and frankly the crime does not really fit the punishment. Say "GG EZ" once and you loose chat privileges for ten games? Why do so many other games with softer punishments still have less toxic players than league. My theory is there is an aspect of the game itself making people toxic. Rather than a "lack of enforcement". Seriously Riot gives North Korea a run for its money, when it comes to their "new" tribunal. Instead of teaching people not to speak their mind, they should teach people to have thicker skin.
: I love those who instantly point out how much money they spend on the game.. IT DOESNT MATTER HOW MUCH
Tosti911 (EUNE)
: Why this keeps happening?
They stopped the tribunal cause riot got lazy.
Infernape (EUW)
: They're not using profanity to insult people though. Using profanity isn't against the rules. Using it to insult someone is. Context is important.
Can a computer understand context?
: Greetings Benny Senpai. Riot hasn't released any official information about who will be eligible for Ranked Rewards this Season, however, it will most likely be somewhat similar to last Season. If you had an **active** Chat Restricion at the end of the Season, or had a 14-day ban less than 3 months prior to the end of the Season, you would not get the Rewards. This means if you stay clear of any further punishments, you will most likely still receive your rewards. I hope you'll be able to reform and not get punished again. Good luck & Have fun !
Seems a bit excessive. Its so easy to have one bad day on league. Whats the point serving your sentence if they still want to keep the rewards you earned from you?
: Short version. Tribunal is down, the Report system is automatic. Reports only trigger a Investigation, the number of report doesnt matter. The Player gets punished if he really acted against the rules. Punishment can reach from Chat restriction to Permaban according to behaviour and strenght. If the Player was reported without him acting against rules, you report value is getting lowered.
Are behaviour alerts still a thing? Is it one bad game and you get insta punished?
: >People have no more power, like they had back then... Yeah, it's like people can't report toxic twats any more, right? And the system has always been _the Tribunal ™_, they just disabled the public voting section (cheers for that).
Automated justice is no justice at all.
: >People must get their lesson sometimes Uh-huh, yeah. You got yours.

: Upcoming Upgrades to Chat Restrictions
Does getting a past chat restriction remove the seasonal reward? Or is that only while active?

: Just roam around this section of boards, I guess you will find enough examples to sate your curiosity ;) By the way, any toxicity is punishable as it's not welcome at all. That means pretty much everything between "EVERYONE REPORT XYZ" and "DIE IN THE SEWER YOU @#%#^". The difference is only how fast you will get a permanent ban.
What about "EZ", "Please be quite", "Excuse me", "hell", "darn", "damn", "christ"? Is it the words or how you say it?
: Fuck Your bullshit Rito
I'm proud to have voted yes against adversity.

: Satisfaction Survey & Past Experience
Where is this survey, I want to give a piece of my mind.
: > Perhaps you will consider changing your mind about my account and giving me another chance Sorry, but there are no exceptions. If you really regret your behavior, just accept your punishment. You have no other choice anyway. You are very welcome to create a new account and prove that you improved, but your old account is gone forever, I'm afraid.

: There is some tolerance. You have to be an above average jerk to be punished.

: Upcoming Upgrades to Chat Restrictions
Do you still offer warnings?
: Good behavior is a matter of perspective, and there is nothing that specifies what "Good Behavior" is, i.e. Saying gg wp at the end of games etc., so this reform period can last forever!
You got a point.
: There has been no statement on it, but it seems like the behavior alerts don't exist anymore (for about half a year now).
So what, is it literally one bad game and you instantly loose chat and reward privileges. or do they need a few repeats before doing anything?
