: Most likely you got penalized to low priority...
Since I was talking about restarting queue and it finding a match after 3-4 minutes, but only after restarting it several times, no I'm not.
: Cancelling the que puts you at the back making you wait extra long. Solution: 1. Download Teamviewer 2. Hook up your phone to your pc with Teamviewer 3. Go do real life shit until your que pops on your phone 4. Accept the que and hope you are not taking a shit by the time you load into the game. 5. Productivity. 6. Extremely useful for those 20 minute penalties. Nah but for real I just go on instagram or reddit while in que no reason to just stare at the league client while waiting.
Well, that is the whole point of resetting the queue, I don't want to wait for ages until matchmaking becomes so bad it's completely unbearable. It's bad enough as it is.

: > Now I have positive winrate, good games from my part which I still lose and I'm hard stuck S1, 80+ games. Being gold in previous seasons doesn't automatically mean you're gold right now. Each season brings big changes to the game, and requires players to adapt and relearn certain elements. If you don't adapt well enough, you won't climb. Being "hardstuck" simply means you're where your current skill belongs, not that anyone is holding you back. --- > One more thing. There have been proposals by people to make it easier for people to climb and make it less about luck. Like considering your own performance in the lp gain or loss, making a loss less drastic and a win more rewarding if you do well. None of these proposed systems actually work though, and only causes the game to be played more as a single player deathmatch rather than an objective oriented team game. If you can propose a system that actually works, go ahead.
In case you haven't noticed, it actually IS called SINGLE / duo queue, NOT Team 5v5. While it is a team game, it only really is when you play as 5v5 team with voice. Otherwise it always has been about single performance. And when you provide a SOLO queue, and play SOLO, you should be able to win with your skill, and not be dependent on the team trying their best to lose. When Riot offer a SOLO queue but says that solo actually doesn't matter because it's a team game, they should remove the solo part and make it team only. Oh wait they did that with flex already, and it backfired horribly. Too bad.
: >I'm not talking about 100% win rate. In pretty much every season, even I got placed S2/S1, I got back to gold within a few games. Now I have positive winrate, good games from my part which I still lose and I'm hard stuck S1, 80+ games. In low elo, your individual skill matters A LOT. It's VERY little about luck in your rank. Luck becomes a bigger part in high plat and above but in your skill level, it's not a real factor outside of real trolls.
Then please, explain this: https://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=senshi86 I get ACE/MVP in most games, I do most dmg/most kills, stomp lane opponent, go roam, and still lose consistently. The last 3 losses were 4 people running it down the lane, and those are just the last 3. With those numbers I should win not every game, but consistently enough, but the only thing I do consistently is lose. Because most of the time I see people on my team just dying left and right. Even when I tell them to just play safe and let me carry the completely ignore me. Up to telling me to shut up and then continue feeding. When you see something I need to improve on tell me, I would love to. I watch videos and try to implement it, the more roaming part is something I started just recently. It hasn't worked at all so far.

: Not a single person will hold a 100% win-rate, regardless of how good you are. You're not going to win every game, and you're really not intended to either. A game has 10 people, whom all want to win. 5 of them can only do so by having you lose.
I'm not talking about 100% win rate. In pretty much every season, even I got placed S2/S1, I got back to gold within a few games. Now I have positive winrate, good games from my part which I still lose and I'm hard stuck S1, 80+ games. The only decision you have left to make in this game is if you want to lose or not. Because you can't decide to win the game, as it is completely out of your hand. If you want to lose that's easy, and your team can't do anything about it. Keep on pretending there's no problem with the game and the people playing it. It's people like you, who make excuses for everything no matter how bad it is, that makes games like Fallout76 and Anthem possible - and even league at this point. One more thing. There have been proposals by people to make it easier for people to climb and make it less about luck. Like considering your own performance in the lp gain or loss, making a loss less drastic and a win more rewarding if you do well. But I guess it would be too easy to actually fix the problem, rather let people keep complaining, that's a much more relaxed atmosphere for a game.

: > Game's main purpose is to win , person from Iron will have less chance to do that than Challenger one Not really. Since the system matches you up with equals, you'll have roughly the same chance of winning.
No it doesn't. I had two games going 18/5/6 and 16/6/11, with the score being even significantly better early in game. I tried to do everything that can be done, but the games were basically unwinnable. Even when stomping lane and roaming afterwards to help others. Those are games where the enemy gold players are literally replaced by low bronze (last game bronze 4 vs gold 4) on my team. Ranked has become meaningless, purely luck based.
: people apply too much value on their ranks
Well, it certainly doesn't mean anything anymore this season. Riot made sure of that. Ranked is basically normals.

: Lower ranked games matchmaking complete destroyed after "top tier reset"
Same here. I had 2 games I went 18/5/6 and 15/6/11. Both lost. Tried to roam and made things happen, but the enemy team got gold players while I got Bronze 4 (!!!!). Unwinnable matchmaking. This game is not about skill anymore, just pure luck. Ranked is a joke, literally non existent. Season %%%%ed completely. 80+ games with positive win rate and still stuck in S1 because I lose as much as I get. I don't know how a company who's done this for over a decade now can be so incompetent in making this game.

: > Besides the fact that you can easily fake an internet "blackout" to not receive any punishment You can fake a blackout on your computer, but not for an entire region. --- > If riot was so good at detecting whether someone ragequit or had a bad connection, they could do a remake any time in the game How would you proceed to detecting this? It's not an easy task, if at all possible. --- > Anyone who recently played should have noticed that League has become a super toxic place and that trolling is excused as "having a bad game". I haven't really encountered much toxicity in my recent games, and I can't remember the last time I had someone extremely toxic. Personal experience is anecdotal, and how you treat others is a big factor. --- > Ever since they closed down the tribunal it has become a lot worse. Algorithms just can't do the same humans do. Why can't it? IFS is faster than the Voting System, and handles far more cases at a higher accuracy rate. IFS is part of the Tribunal, btw.
It doesn't matter really. AFKs are not the biggest problem of the game anyway. The problems I pointed out remain, however you want to interpret the latest patch changes. Your skill in this game literally doesn't matter anymore. Every game is a coinflip. This makes ranked a farce. Same does the ability to queue with someone 2 tiers apart or putting people 2 tiers apart in a match in general. As I said, even popular streamers / ex pros say the same. No influence, coinflip ever game, Season 9 is over and can't be fixed anymore, even after the high ranked reset it remained the same.

: > I did read it. It makes LeaverBuster more lenient towards players. Clearly you didn't, because that's not what it says. Here's the text for you: > We took a pass at updating LeaverBuster to improve its accuracy and effectiveness. Overall, **it'll be more forgiving for those who are unintentionally leaving games** for reasons outside of their control > * BUGFIX Fixed a bug where the game would sometimes fail to detect a leaver * COMEBACK INCENTIVE Leaver detection is slightly more lenient if your team wins the game * FORGIVE AND FORGET LeaverBuster now takes regional connectivity into account * THEY WON'T MIND LeaverBuster penalties are reduced in most Co-op vs. AI and Premade 5's games Where does it say that it'll be more lenient towards people that ragequit?
It doesn't. That was not the point though. Besides the fact that you can easily fake an internet "blackout" to not receive any punishment, there remains the fact that 4 players get punished for 1 player having a bad connection or ragequit, whatever the reason for the afk. If riot was so good at detecting whether someone ragequit or had a bad connection, they could do a remake any time in the game, and make the one who ragequits take a big LP loss while they one with a bad connection receives no punishment (along with the other people in game). And this little part of afks does not even cover the rest of it. Anyone who recently played should have noticed that League has become a super toxic place and that trolling is excused as "having a bad game". Ever since they closed down the tribunal it has become a lot worse. Algorithms just can't do the same humans do.

: Matchmaking is based on MMR, not current visible ranking. MMR is a more accurate representation of current skill, which is why it's better for this to be used. --- > Latest patch notes (9.6): Leaver buster is more generous towards players. Right. Make them leave even more often. You haven't actually read the improvements to LeaverBuster I suppose, because it doesn't say what you claim it says. The change is targetted to make it more accurate, and be a little more lenient if you come back and help your team win the game.
I did read it. It makes LeaverBuster more lenient towards players. I don't really care the reason people are afk for. If Riot wants to be more forthcoming they should not only lessen punishment for the ones who are afk, but also the ones who remain in game, have to endure the situation and lose LP for free.

: How to make League ranked less frustrating
Except for the honor part, I can fully agree with your points, I feel the same. As for the honor, you start at 2, so you can't exclude people from the beginning. I also have a hard time actually climbing in honor. I don't know how long it takes for honor 3, I played around 60 games this season and sit around step 1 to honor 3. I also don't think people take it seriously, and it is poorly implemented as well. Even if many people perform well, you can honor just one. The old system was way better in that regard. And I've had games in which I didn't say anything, hard carried the game and didn't get one single honor for it. I have to admit, in many games I don't give any honor as well, especially losses. Usually because there is no honor to give. Though sometimes I feel like I should've honored a particular player anyway since they did well, and can't do it anymore when I skipped it already. So it's very poorly reflecting your actual behavior. If the report system would work (which it doesn't seem to do), you could prevent people below honor 2 from playing ranked I guess. But honestly, the system would have to get completely overhauled to be even remotely representative.

: Client buggy and laggy af just as of now (not only me)
Nothing works anymore. Looks like servers crashed or whatever.
: Where's kennen? Anyway you shouldn't have stopped the ult. It seemed like yasuo was being dragged back in, or if this isn't the case maybe it's got something to do with bushes. They're so bugged.
Maybe. I only cancelled my ult after he went through the wall since I didn't want to give up on the kill. Game and client are pretty buggy in general right now ...

: Black screen of champ select
Don't want to create a new topic for this, but since the pinned thread is closed, I put it in here. The black screen doesn't only happen for people with big friends lists. Mine is pretty small (maybe around 20?) and I still got that bug. Completely dark, not even a delay. Skipped me from Champ Select. You should at least consider restoring the lost LP for people this happened to ...

: I don't want to be rude, but pls guys check out the boards for posts that allready exist. It feels like there is the same post from different players several times a day, every day.
Well, I haven't found any recent posts on this topic though, but I only used the search so I might have missed threads that don't contain leveling bots. It doesn't change the problem though, that leveling bots apparently start to take over coop vs ai games lately, starting a few weeks ago. Until this year, I barly noticed any leveling bots at all. Then, some time during the first half of the year, I began to encounter suicide bots, just buying boots and perma running down midlane. Even though I had them frequently, it still wasn't that often. All that changed a couple of weeks ago, when a new generation of leveling bots seemed to have taken over. They usually have strange summoners (mostly ghost flash or heal flash on any champ there is) which they use randomly, start with crap (no starting items), build crap (items that are not even in the recommended ones, so you can't argue new players), usually go mid, only take free rotation champs, don't communicate (of course not), don't cs, still die permanently and usually you can see it in the match history as well. They're not as easy to distinguish from real players / beginners anymore though as the suicide bots, still there's a clear pattern that you'll start to recognize when you encounter them often enough. And often enough I do, almost every game now 1-2 of them (and I usually only play 1 AI game a day for fast first win). It doesn't cause me to lose, but it's annoying as hell nevertheless.
: Can Riot tell me when do i get next gold quality players in my team????
Well, I'm pretty much with you on that. Especially since S6 with dynamic queue I've got the feeling it makes it impossible to climb unless you're already some high ranked player who levels a smurf or have 3-4 premades carrying you (even if "carrying" only means not feedling like hell). Got 2-3 extreme feeders on pretty much every game, so even if I do well it's impossible to carry. Add to that the nice matchmaking (stuff like g5 queuing with p5 getting matched vs max g4, resulting in the average ranking of both teams being at least 2-3 divisions apart) and you have a game that is less and less fun playing.
