: Negativity and name calling. Report calling is also against the rules.

What is so pretty %%%%ey about "can you please respect your roles" ? That's legitly a polite answer, if someone is bumping your chair in the train isn't it " can you please stop that" an adequate answer? or do you proceed with your typical habit and tell him "can you cut the %%%% it off"? Don't tell me you're basically saying " Oh, i'm so sorry, but i really cannot do this for this game, i've waited a lot of matches to fill this specific role, my apologies "? Kek, is that really what you expect from someone you're asking things from? You guys have a lot of pretty %%%%ing much double standards.
: It's fine to perma ban the account. Once you register, you sign up to follow Riots rules, and if you fail to do so, you get punished. First is the minor punishments, then if the person keeps on being negative, then the punishment will get worse and so on. I think it's fair, even though you put money into the account. It's your own choice to buy stuff, but its not required as this game is not pay to win.
Question isnt about is it legal but is it morally right

Permanent bans are, well, **permanent.** Whether you have played for 3 months or 5 years, the same rules apply to you. If you have a valuable account that represents all the hours of gameplay you have put into League, shouldn't you be inclined to make sure you don't lose it? After all, you **do** get slaps on the wrist as a warning. Maybe that should spur a thought in your mind, that "oh, I'm at risk of losing my beloved account due to my behaviour. Perhaps I should consider making an effort at behaving better?" Permanent bans are deserved, and a cruel reminder of what you had and why you lost it.
Then just perma ban chat???? And THEN if they start to int or grief they perma ban. Basically I feel that OP is expressing how dumb it is that the ladder system they use, doesn't account for different negativity and outright increases that players hate for the game rather than helping them be less toxic. Its kinda just blocking your ex on twitter and not sorting it out.
: I never heard of that I never saw anyone getting punished because of those reports...and I read literally every ban related post on the forums. I suppose it's mostly a hypothetical scenario then.
Its extremely common in my gold elo. Especially if the champions have a notorious identity, like Teemo or Yas. People will just ban them, or if its a skill champ like kat or azir, bam banned their champ. And it IS a real problem

I mean then Riot gets kinda passive aggressive about it and tells you about how you can report in game. It works but they get annoyed lol.

When I did it they simply told me it wasn't proof of anything, and if he did anything use the report system. Yeah, it worked for me. I reported like 3 guys in the past, and they say me that they are going to make an case on it. But, they told me to do that, and report them via the report system at the end of the game. Yeah I reported a premade group of 4 that inted and trolled, but they just said "use the ingame report system"

: * The punishment system is explained right here under the "Punishments generally follow a basic escalation path": https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/207489286-Instant-Feedback-System-FAQ- Report calling is a bannable offense because it only creates a negative environment. You only need 1 report to get someone punished if its valid. So the result from 9 or 1 people report someone will be the exact same. Hence why its seen as negative.
A large problem is that Riot doesn't explain this to many people, and majority people think that More Reports = Quicker Ban, if everyone knew that only one report works then there would not be as many people saying for example "Report Alistar for trolling." This is on Riot's side for creating this problem, and all they would need to do to fix this is just make a public announcement, hell even just a side note in a "Plz Riot" video and it would spread. It isn't the public's fault for thinking this since it DOES make sense.
: No, that's the thing, I only said it because i was upset and tilted, I did not troll, I'm going for the best winrate possible, so I wouldnot troll
Had a talk with a riot employee, basically any "report calling" is toxic, whining is toxic, and even just saying "i'm gonna int" is toxic since it distracts from the game and is not positive, they are really cracking down on chat logs now.

: So im just wondering how you tell the difference between actual toxic behavior worth reporting and competitive bs which they state is allowed. And even more so, how does the honor system decide? The honor system refuses to rank you up if you are negative even without getting reported. How do you even tell these things anymore at this point.
Thats exactly my point, there isnt a clear factor/decider

: I don't think we have a language barrier issue. Report calling, justified or not, isn't ok. People simply don't care, and don't want to see it. Focus on the game, rather than threatening your allies.
So basically let people troll your games, don't say anything, be robots and be perfectly happy with garen running it down your mid? Its okay right, you can just report him afterwards right? Totally not like the damage has been done that could have been avoided completely if someone threatened with report and he would have stopped there right? Its like the mentality of letting someone rob your house and then report it afterwards and have the guy never get caught or stop it yourself. Nice going {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}
