XBlade312 (EUNE)
: > Back to the current time, since his rework, it doesn't feel powerfull. It might deal true damage a lot of the times, however, it doesn't feel strong. What a useless wall of text. This guy is complaining about Vel'Koz not doing enough damage while saying that he actually does deal 'massive damage'. I don't even...what? > Vel'koz in my opinion is a rather mana-hungry champion, But then you went on a rant on how his Q giving back mana 'doesn't fit', 'doesn't make sense on him'. Uhhhhhh okay...?....? (You see the contradiction in there right?) > Life form disintergration ray The ability Vel'koz is most known for. I am still kind of confused why the rework department would change this, or change Vel'koz in the first place, but it was perfect as it was. I am very, very opposed to the changes to it, since it doesn't seem like Vel'koz. Vel'koz in lore would use this beam to deconstruct them, with his passive in-game. That's the sole reason Vel'koz kills. He wants "The ultimate knowledge", but can most likely only get this using his learn beam. I think that researching an opponent would allready give him the knowledge he seeks, thus lorewise it would be weird for him to use his beam. Are you confused because it actually takes more skill to just delete an enemy? > He doesn't fit it anymore, since his passive lets him learn about the opponent before using his ult to finish them, but thematically it would make more sense if he continued to learn about his opponents while using his ultimate, Man THIS doesn't even make sense...imo 'learning about the champion' and then killing with his ult makes MUCH more sense than the old velkoz. Conclusion? This post is kind of stupid, no offense to you or anything if you don't like the 'new' velkoz. You're complaining about so much of his shit and then saying a different thing in the next sentence i'm surprised i didn't get whiplash from this post.

I'm not contradicting myself at all, I am saying it doesn't fit him, because he is a mana hungry champion, and I think he should feel like one. > [{quoted}](name=XBlade312,realm=EUNE,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=nXLngccL,comment-id=0002,timestamp=2016-05-06T00:06:06.868+0000) >Are you confused because it actually takes more skill to just delete an enemy? Not at all, I think it took about as much skill as the old passive, since you could hit one or two stacks, and then ult at the enemy to hit the third, you have to constantly know how many stacks you can hit at least, and how many at max, which makes it more of a mindgame between you and the enemy. Now you first have to hit three stacks to unleash the full potential, so I think the skill level is the same. The theme just doesn't hit the mark with this in my opinion. > [{quoted}](name=XBlade312,realm=EUNE,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=nXLngccL,comment-id=0002,timestamp=2016-05-06T00:06:06.868+0000) >Man THIS doesn't even make sense...imo 'learning about the champion' and then killing with his ult makes MUCH more sense than the old velkoz. Not to me. His ult was _the_ thing Vel'koz used to learn with, thus it would only make sense if he learned through the ult, which means applying passive stacks. Vel'koz main goal is learning, and in game this used to be well represented. The ultimate in the current form wouldn't let him 'learn', it would just do more damage if you allready researched the target. Doesn't make sense to me with his quotes. For instance, "Knowledge through disintergration" His ultimate happens to be called Life Form Disintergration Ray, and he's stating he's learning thanks to it, but in the current state, he isn't, since it doesn't give him the stacks. > [{quoted}](name=XBlade312,realm=EUNE,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=nXLngccL,comment-id=0002,timestamp=2016-05-06T00:06:06.868+0000) >Conclusion? You're complaining about so much of his shit and then saying a different thing in the next sentence i'm surprised i didn't get whiplash from this post. Never said I wasn't complaining. I'm just seeing some problems, which I also give possible solutions for later in the post. Also, I said things to elaborate more on them a bit later in the post, so before you do try to give critisism, please read the entire post and at least try to understand it. Thanks for the feedback though!
: I stopped reading about in the middle but you say with researching as his ult but his ult isnt for researching, life form disintegration ray<--- the name makes it seem more like a defensive type of ability to use on life forms that are agressive to him, his passive is just spot on, organic deconstruction<--- deconstructing something organic just means taking it apart into smaller pieces, and this is how he researches them, also if velkoz can get his passive off and then his ult he just does MASSIVE true damage, the base damage of the ult + 100% ap scaling now, 1000 ap? then you deal 1950 true damage with his ult and 569 true damage from his passive, easily melting any squishy target and tanks. Im really surprised velkoz isnt played more since the patch.
I'm not saying the ultimate isn't strong, I'm just saying it feels clunky, and it feels less powerfull. He indeed deals massive damage, but the problem is that the ult might be too strong for the rest of his kit. The fact that his ultimate is so strong means that riot had to cut short on other abilities to compensate for it. His W and E got pretty hard nerfs, plus Vel'koz was very, very weak last patch. The power budget thus takes power of the medium-cooldown abilities, and puts the power on a long-cooldown ability. This eventually means that without his ultimate Vel'koz becomes extremely weak, even when fed. Edit: I also disagree on you when you say it makes it seem more like a defensive type, look at the cinematic, he uses it to beam Helmet Bro when he doesn't see Vel'koz yet, meaning that he does use it as an offensive ability, and most likely to research the target.
