Since I got rid of the Nvidia HDMI Audio Driver and I rolled back my drivers I'm not getting the stutter. Use latencymon as I did in my screenshot. MThe driver causing the stutters was related to Nvidia, but in the stats tab it showed other driver such as the HDMI audio. You might have a LAN or wireless driver causing it or something else. You have to go through that list looking for what might be the cause of the latency issue.

: Yeah, I've seen it...it's a disgrace. There should be _some_ consistent Red activity on the EU Boards. The NA Boards got plenty of them. And I utterly refuse to believe ALL EU Reds are busy with Worlds. Support would be a waste of time, I promise. Not only are most of them tehcnically clueless, but they also just give basic replies like "try updating your GPU driver." Or "Reduce your graphics settings." Which I promise you they would say even if you put in a "I got dual RTX Titans" in your first sentence.

SOLVED - The issue is either one of these 2 things. First, I rolled back my Nvidia drivers to a version from 6 months ago, I'm using version 430.86. Second, I uninstalled the Nvidia HDMI audio driver.

The newest driver could be the problem, I've rolled back to some 6 months old drivers and also uninstalled the HDMI Audio Driver as it may be causing higher DPC latency, I'm currently testing but I've had no stutters yet.

This is not an FPS issue. The FPS drop is a symptom, it is not a lack of performance.

: Without going into the long, technical discussion, I have a question which I feel is the underlaying one: How come this issue started randomly some 3 patches ago? Can we get some technical feedback or possible reasons from the developers on that? With all these random spikes occuring only since the past few weeks, wouldn't it be more interesting to know what changes has been done server side or with the game coding that suddenly provoked these issues? Other than troubleshooting client side, I mean. Because I don't think that's where the problem lies. For example, what's this "Riot Games"-folder tha suddenly appeared on my Games SSD? Yes, I know what it does, it's the auto-login launcher, but why is it there? Were we ever told it would be there as another pass-through item to get ingame? And can that somehow be responsible for a CPU bug? Coding is a complicated matter, and I doubt they know how to do it properly, else the majority of issues occuring ever since the new client got released (which is still in Beta btw.) would have been avoided. When no change is done client side, with hardware or software, but something suddenly occurs with a game...why would that even suddenly be a client side issue?

But only once per unique action per match. For example opening the store, perfom a ping, even just see certain abilities being used (seemingly no pattern), I get a 4-5 second 0 FPS spike. I am frankly quite bored of having to repeat this information as all threads on the subject just withers and dies, especially on EUNE, and NEVER with any official response or seemingly any ingame change. My specs: Asus Z77 motherboard GTX 1080 i7 3770K @ 4,2 GHz Dedicated SSDs for OS and Games 32 GB RAM I play windowed mode. Settings maxed, because, damn it, my PC can handle it. It handles Doom 4 on Ultra just fine. No spikes at all. Dying Light with graphics settings maxed out? No problem. Tried reinstalling League completely, and updated my drivers. Which, frankly, shouldn't matter, because this issue was first introduced some 3 patches ago while I weren't doing any system changes. However, I have noticed something interesting on the CPU usage. Having Task Manager open on another screen while playing, I can see a massive CPU drop on all cores when the lag spike occurs. After the drop spike, the CPU usage then spikes almost to the roof before going back to normal. This behaviour has been consistent with every ingame spike I have seen since I began monitoring yesterday.

I agree it is not an FPS problem, the FPS dropping is just a side effect of whatever is causing the issue. My hunch is it is either a problem with the game loading something(SSD), the CPU throttling or the audio being buggy and causing a stutter. How can we get Riot to look at this? I died in lane in ranked because everything bugged out for a few seconds and I walked into the enemy tower and my team reported me for inting.

None of this helps. Uncapped I have 470 FPS but I already cap it to 120 with vsync. I don't think this is an issue to do with the graphics settings in the game.

Before adding the logs here, let's try a couple of things first (_if you haven't tried them already_). --- To reduce some possibilities, please navigate to a Custom Game and retry the abilities to check the FPS (it is needed to compare the result after changing some settings). 🢖 From _Settings > Sound_ > check the "_Disable all Sound_" box 🢖 Retry using the abilities and see whether there's more FPS now _Usually in Custom Games you have more FPS because it's only you. _ --- As a first step, let's check the V-Sync settings and Anti-Aliasing. Have you modified them by now? 🢖 **V-sync** should be** Unchecked ** 🢖 **Anti-Aliasing** also **Unchecked** 🢖 Cap the **Frame-rate** to **60 FPS ** _You can also play a bit with the other settings, like setting the Shadows: No Shadow, Effects Quality: move them a bit lower than you have them. _ ---- Have you tried setting League of Legends to Borderless? This can help a lot. None of that worked unfortunately. My FPS drops for about 3 seconds and the audio is distorted, it seems kind of random. It doesn't happen in other games.

i5-8500 GTX 770 - Runs at about 200-300 FPS even through heavy fighting. The stutter occours at any point in the game.

: I got the same thing. Happens once every game with every unique action I do (open the shop, make a ping etc.). Only once, but consistently every game. And with with a dedicated SSD for games (albeit not the best of random read performance), it shouldn't be like that. Especially as it began happening some 3 patches ago. But from what I can tell, it's (in my case at least) all down to the CPU spiking.
