: Why do we factor CS in the ARAM grading system?
Cause it compares your champ with other players playing the same champ in that game mode. And Champs like Sivir clear waves with a single ability. So if you play Sivir for example and have bad cs, something is wrong.

: A Gnar Buff That Won't Harm Pro Play
That's the main point why he struggles... dmg is way too high and (mini) gnar is like the squishiest champion in the game. I used to play him a lot (even before he got popular) but now I get bursted before I can even stack my rage bar. So yeah, making him a bit tankier would fix him. Another thing would be nerfing dmg overall... But we all know that won't happen for atleast another year if it ever does.
: Hi BlacObsidian, Some more information regarding mmr can be found [here](https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/201752954-Matchmaking-Guide). Your lp has to do with several things, it can be something as simple as the team mmr of your enemies being a lot lower than your own team's mmr! As long as you're winning and doing well you will keep gaining lp. And yes, your mmr can get worse even if you win. If for example you end up going 1/13/1 but get carried to a win then your mmr will lower despite having won that game :) I hope this makes sense to you! Greetings, Kaya

That's not true at all. Adcs were dominating the game. You think these nerfs came out of nowhere?
: Current state of the game makes me wanna quit (ADC Main)
Just slightly ahead? lol He has 3 kills, 3 assists and 3 towers more than you. He built the right items against you (randuins + ninja tabi), while you have literally no armor pen except that 10% which is nothing. And you expect to kill him in few shots? It would be more surprising if you could at this state. On top of that: It's not your job to kill him solo. Yes, this is acceptable balancing. ADCs are not supposed to be the only gods in the game even when behind. You clearly didn't lose due to Amumu beeing tanky. They have 2 infernos, your jungler is 4/11 and your team is almost full squishy and full ad while they have huge (aoe) cc with malph + amumu and huge burst dmg generally.

Because i can't say anything without knowing much... Basically the same as now. His Q duration was 5 seconds at lvl 1 and a guarenteed crit tho. So he would always just appear behind you, backstab you (his passive), ignite and you were dead. So even if you ward, he could gank you without beeing seen. This is the definition of toxic for me.

: Why couldn't we swap champions with eachother during last weekend in ARURF?
It was a bug... Urf never was intended to release last weekend. Riot had issues with clash and they gave us urf to compensate so there was no time to check for bugs. If you noticed there were no champions banned too like Karthus or Teemo which are toxic to play against.

In urf you get a lot more attack speed from items. Lethal tempo disables attack speed cap. I think I don't have to say more.
: Lets all calm down about Clash.
It didn't work last time. It didn't work this time. What makes you confident it will work next time?
: I get it that those two are different in a way. But, as I said in a comment above yours :) : do you think that my MMR from those 10 provisional games that I (or some other unranked player) hypothetically play in the next couple of weeks reflect my player skill better than 5 years of playing normals with a wide variety of players? There could be many solutions to this: I know there will always be players that are left out, for some reasons, but I think you can set a frame that doesn't exclude people who don't like to play rankeds :D And I get it that Clash is competitve, but I would like to be able to be at least a substitute to help my friends from time to time, and to have fun with them!
The 10 provisional games do not say anything about your skill, I agree. But I don't think normals reflect your "real" skill either. The matchmaking is just too random. And as far as I know there is no reset on normal mmr like in ranked each season. And I think some of the reasons Riot decided not to include normals is because of the tiers and scouting. It's just easier to do: Give every rank a Tier and you're done. As for the scouting: If there is no data about the player (ranked stats) there is nothing to scout. And scouting is one of the core elements of clash. Edit: If you want to participate, why wouldn't you just play the 10 games? If you don't care about ranked anyway you have nothing to lose. Tbh I never understood why ppl make such a fuss about their rank. If you get ranked low, who cares?
: Clash - why can't I play as an unranked player?
Cause Normal play doesn't have the same restrictions as Ranked play. You can play with everyone (every rank) and this distorts your own skill lvl. Since Clash is competitive (even more than ranked I guess) you need something that displays your own skill lvl.

It also gives ad, especially on champs like Yasuo or Trynd (or even Xin) who go for crits the ad bonus is huge. So it is strong against tanks due to true dmg and it is strong against squishys cause of the pure ad it offers.

: He's a support assassin - just take a closer look at his kit - he's unlikely to have damage to solo kill a target and he certainly doesn't have the defense to stay in there for a longer trade. He can't burst them alone and he can't take a longer trade, which solidifies his support role - he needs adc to do the constant damage before he jumps in for the kill. Same for his roaming - he can get there and surprise them, but without other laner's help he'll quickly end up shark bait, unless assassinating an already very low health target. Also his kill share is only on ult. Which means that unless he goes full ks mode he can't snowball pre 6, and after 6 he will have only certain windows of opportunity to grow without hampering his adc. And assassins are all about snowballing if they wanna solo carry. Kinda hard when you're on support budget and have only limited windows for grabbing kills without being a %%%% to your adc... Also normal assassins don't have hard cc, he has two. He is a support assassin and the way i see it - pretty balanced one.
> [{quoted}](name=Tsumirez,realm=EUNE,application-id=39gqIYVI,discussion-id=MPfArNea,comment-id=0001,timestamp=2018-05-15T06:37:14.994+0000) > Same for his roaming - he can get there and surprise them, but without other laner's help he'll quickly end up shark bait, unless assassinating an already very low health target. > Also normal assassins don't have hard cc, he has two. He is a support assassin and the way i see it - pretty balanced one. And that's the problem imo: He will get help from the other laners/adc in 90% of cases. He got a hook and a stun, so enough time for a follow up. And with the invisibility he can always gank and surprise the enemy, chain cc and get free kills. We will see when he releases.

My friends in teamspeak just laughed when I said the new champion got Invisibility + Hook + dash with a stun + AoE execute. Like he will either be busted or totally useless. Invis into hook into stun - > counterplay? And then the execute.
: it's always your fault if you lose
People feed, it happens. In one of my last games I had 0/5/0 top Urgot against a Nautilus... No jungle pressure at all and we still won somehow. That's not the reason you can't climb tho. It happens to everyone, how do others climb? If someone has negative winrate (as in below 50%) with over 500 games played, it clearly shows where he belongs. And it would be good if you accept that, so you can improve and finally rank up.

What annoys me about those junglers you are talking about is that they take all your cs and make YOU fall behind too. Not so much in laning phase but once botlane leaves their lane and you are the midlaner, you can't properly farm anymore. Either you try to take objectives which doesn't work cause top is in his own world and ur jungler either jungles or farms bot and your bot and you try to get something done but all you do is fight over the cs.

You will have 5 seperate lp ladders. They change it for soloq only, not for flex. They call it "positional matchmaking" 7 if you count flex and 3v3 too. That's what they say about the borders: > Next season, you’ll unlock your rank border as soon as you finish your provisional games for a position. You’ll be able to see it grow and change as you climb the ladder. In addition to the loading screen, the current design adds your live rank to your profile, hovercard, and lobby, so your friends will be able to marvel at your skill. So I guess you will get a border for each position? It's not clear. But it will change instantly once you rank up, not at the end of season. PS: You should read the whole article, just click on the link above.
: It is an interesting idea but I am quite sceptical. How is the initial rank when you play your first game of the new role? Like I'm an adc main and I'm Silver in Season 8, so I'll probably start with Bronze elo in my placements in Season 9 and work my way up to Silver after the 10 placement games - adc only. Now I get my secondary role, jungle, for the first time. What is my MMR? Bronze, like no placement match played? That seems unfair as I am now much more skilled than the poor Bronze players I get paired with. Also it seems really easy to gain LP with this system. Let's say I work myself up to Silver II with adc/jungle only. But I can't get into Gold because I'm too bad. Now I just choose mid as primary role and get matched with Bronze players because I have Bronze MMR on midlane. But I'm a midlaner with Silver skill. I win every game and gain enough LP to get from Silver II to Gold IV before my midlane MMR adjusts to my real level. And yeah, now I just choose support as my primary role and get paired with Bronze players again and easily carry my way to Gold II before my support MMR adjusts to my real level. Now I pick toplane and go from Gold II to Platinum IV. My real skill is still Silver II, I just exploited the system.

My real skill is still Silver II, I just exploited the system. What are you talking about? In your example you keep the rank and just reset the mmr, that's not how it works. You have a seperate ranking and mmr for each position. If you reach silver 2 as adc and decide to play support you will start at 0 again. Your adc rank won't change. Now you are bronze 4 support with bronze 4 mmr. If you reach gold you are gold support but still silver 2 adc. That's the whole idea: If you have a position you are good at you deserve a higher rank in that position. It won't affect the other roles.

Yea, have fun defending from a Rengar that can jump to wherever tf he wants. None said it has to be a skillshot. Just change the moment the basic attack is counted. Instead of start of jump you make it happen at the end. Your jump "trigger" is still the basic attack command. And you still need a bush/ult. So what's the problem? It won't make a difference in 90% of the cases, just get rid of these weird moments where you get killed even if you are 100 teemos away. This has nothing to do with Wukong, and why would you make his dash a skillshot because of this? Just look at Fizz (and there are other examples too), his Q works just as I told you. You can flash his point and click dash, the dmg is only counted when he really hits you. And Wukongs dash is AoE/multi target not single target btw and not counted as basic attack either. What has his knockup or Animation cancel to do with this?

: When you are melee and basic attack someone, and that someone flashes before your attack deals damage and you don't cancle it, then your basic attack will hit. Try it with your friends in practice tool: Pick a melee champion, channel a basic attack, enemy flashes and the attack should finnish and damage the enemy. With ranged champions this is even more obvious, as the basic attack is a projectile with traveltime after it is channeled. Once a basicattack is channeled and not cancled, it cannot be dodged whatsoever. Rengar basic attacked Wukong. Because of Rengar passive Rengar jumps ontop of Wukong. However it's still a basic attack, so it will hit no matter if Wukong had flashed or not over the wall. You can argue if it is fair or not, that Rengars jump should be changed. And on top of it, it is 200g cheaper.

: What you just calculated is the chance to get A SPECIFIC SKIN 3 times in a row, for example getting Cottontail Teemo 3 times in a row. Any other champ you would get 3 times in a row would not count as a streak in your calculation, but only this one skin. What you actually need to calculate is the chance to get ANY skin 3 times in a row, which is waaaaaaaay more likely. Also keep in mind that League has over 100 million players, so even very unlikely things tend to happen to SOMEONE at some point ;) And, last but not least: Keep in mind that the OP didn't even say he got those skins in a row. He just go them in general, not necessarily in a row. This, again, makes it waaaaaaaay more likely to happen.

The chance should be 0.0000015625 (0.00015625%) not 0,000000195% since the 1. "draw" doesn't matter. But still, it's rare and I didn't say it never happens, just the comment above was: "So yeah there is a good chance you get some skins many times BECAUSE it is random". And that's plain wrong. The chance is not "good" and if that happens a lot to a single player chances are good that the system is flawed. (not saying it is)

: People don't understand what random means. For example: If you have 1 to 5 numbers, and you pick 20 numbers people would expect around 4 of each number. In fact with random it means you can get stuff like: 3 2 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 2 4 4 4 4 4 4 5 5 5. So when it's 'random' there is a chance you might get a lot of the same in a row. Only if you pick 300 numbers 1-5 it will get more average. So yeah there is a good chance you get some skins many times BECAUSE it is random

It's clear that you get a certain number multiple time. But LoL has about 800 skins? That means a chance of 1/800 or 0.00125 or 0,125% for a single random skin. Now multiplicate that 3 times to get a specific skin 3 times (e.g championship kalista): (1/800)x(1/800)x(1/800). That's a chance of 0.00000000195 or 0,000000195%. The chance to win the jackpot in the (german) lottery is 0,00000072 % btw. To get a "random" skin 3 times in a row see comment below.
