: Yeah, a rioter recommended the same thing to me in a ticket i made for the same reason, and it worked after that. I guess most people here are just too lazy to actually ask for help instead of just complaining. Also a side note: it works with windows 10 as well.
I don't think it's about being too lazy, I'm sure several people have sent a ticket, if this hadn't happened just before I went to bed I would have done so myself. I think the issue that makes people angry is that they are expected to do this. This is supposed to be a polished game, if there is an issue that effects players in such a drastic way as this they need to turn the feature off and run more tests. Would be nice as well to offer some kind of apology and explanation. This is breaking more ranked games than scripters do and also causing unfair bans.
: nice anti cheating software
seriously screw riot right now. im having a really bad time with terrible team matchups, smurfs %%%%ing everywhere, huge loosing streak and now this bullshit. ive honestly stopped enjoying the game. is scripting really so prolific they had to ruin the game for so many casual players just to root it out?

Interesting point about ryze. I think thats true for a lot of champs though. I play a lot of {{champion:133}} and people cry at it being a noob champ, which in some ways it is, but it's also super squishy and if not played right is useless.

He was not a good player, he didn't win lane against me, I didn't feed him myself for sure and he died constantly. I can't see how someone that had super low Cs, lost lane and died constantly can still be the primary threat.

I think in my experience if you get behind like if you get ganked several times and she gets ahead you may as well go afk cos the you either build full Mr and survive but offer nothing in team fights or you try and juke as best you can but get one shot if you make a mistake. If not one shot then near enough to make it impossible to hang about any longer. At least she requires skill. : player score to block ranked play
Interesting thoughts here. Firstly insulting people is never an ok thing to do regardless of how troll or bad they are. I'm guilty of it but if I get pulled up on it I only have myself to blame. Secondly I see that people spam reports all the time but that doesn't ban everyone currently because the system requires some logical explanation for reports. Say 3 or more player report the same person for the same reason then the system retracts points but only if it makes sense based on what the bans are for and how many bans they got. if everyone reports Everyone the system would see no logical correlation so would disregard it. Also if someone banned everyone for inting the same would happen. However if someone actively trolls chances are everyone will report for trolling so it's logical to assume it's legit and so the system will see this and deduct points.

It's about mindset really. There is an element of luck. It it's about understanding that if you play consistently well, and I mean play the meta game, as in focus on farm, lane control, vison and objectives, understanding tactics and what your opponents are up to then you will get out. You will always loose games but if you are consistent your win ratio will be high enough to get out

This is true but as a split pusher I don't get mad at my team loosing an engage under our turret, I do get frustrated when they loose an engage in the middle of nowhere for no obvious reason. You shouldn't really be engaging at all unless there is a clear purpose such as baron, dragon or towers.
: These are some decent tips, friendo. Especially the farming is a big deal. I'll throw in a few extra tips if you don't mind. * Actually PRACTICE csing. Not necessarily in customs, but really try to get better at it during your games. CS might not be as cool as 20 kills, but they help you getting those awesome 20 kills. * When leaving your lane for roams/objectives/ after the laning phase, also consider exp. A lot of people I play with don't seem tot hink about this. Don't take your jungler's red-buff when there's a massive wave under tower in the lane next to it. Go for the exp instead, it's worth more than trying to get dominance over your own jungle buffs. The exp (and gold) will go wasted, that red buff stays and it's likely tha SOMEONE in your team will get it, resulting in your team having more gold and exp than if you were to let that wave go to waste. When someone is farming a pushed in lane, don't go there with 3 people. You're denying eachother both gold and exp, go to another lane insteadm even if there's less minions there. This specifically tends to somewhat tilt me. It's so annoying and kinda stupid. * If you're a champion that's good at splitting and you end up being behind, ask your team to not force stupid fights. If you're a bruiser get a Hydra (or just Tiamat) if you're an ADC, consider a Statikk or a Runaan's, whichever is better on your champion. It helps you clear waves more eaisly and you can suddenly turn a fight as a 0/3 Sivir (because you have 80 mroe CS than everyone else!) * Lastly, it's a good idea to understand how every champion works. If you get beaten by something, check the wiki of the champions you didn't entirely get, read it thoroughly, google how things exactly work if you're curious. The enxt time you'll have a better idea of how to play against it. Even if you do understand how the champion works, don't be afraid to read it again. You might find something you didn't quite get yet, and even if you do, if you read it again you might understand it better. For example, you did know how it worked, but you didn't quite get how much damage it actually deals or how big the shield exactly was and you got surprised and died. The enxt time you'll be better at respecting those things and will have an easier time to play around it. I'm currently in my promos to Gold 3, have Gold 1 MMR (so most of my enemies tend to be Plat) and I still do this every time. Even if I won, even if I completely dumpstered them, if I got surprised by something, I read up on it. It helps a lot. I even have a fairly good understanding of every champion (there's a few small exceptions) and I still tend to get surprised sometimes. A good example is me not knowing how long Naut's shield lasts (10 seconds). I expected it to be 4-5 ish seconds since that is average and I engaged on a Naut expecting his shield to go away soon and I died. I now know how long it lasts and know how to respect it. Never fed a Nautilus after that game again.

Well I understand the reasons. I guess it's just really controversial because for some, short queues are important and for others it's a real tilter. I would love to be able to practise support role until I'm gold level but I hate that role in bronze and even good supports have limited success I find in low Elo. Just my experience, I've heard others have a very different time.

: I don't think the problem is actually Auto Fill itself. Let's apply a problem solving technique from project management. It's called "the 5W's"; when you observe a problem, don't try to solve it by taking the immediate cause (asking why once) and change that. Instead, iterate the why-question 5 times to get a lot closer to the actual root of the problem. Let's do this, shall we? Observation: I am stuck in Bronze a lot longer than I used to. 1. Why? Because I lose significatly more games when I am auto filled than when I'm not. 2. Why? Because I am not good at the position I am auto filled. 3. Why? Because I am lacking experience since I hardly ever play it. 4. Why? Because I don't like that position. 5. Why? Because <...> So whatever that is for each individual player (too difficult, too much responsibility, getting flamed, not feeling rewarded, boring, ...), that could be a root-cause. I for example never get auto filled, because I main support, and apparently that role is so sparsely chosen that I can get it every game. Personally I love that role. But I can understand why other people hate it. It's utterly different from other positions, because every single task of yours is one you can't do alone. Even if you go to ward somewhere, you need your other lanes to have their wards planted so you can hopefully see at least 3 enemies to know whether it's safe or not to go off the lane to ward. For this role specifically, I feel the problem is that people have too little experience in playing support. The afforementioned difference is what I think makes it difficult to succeed at it for auto filled people. Nevertheless even those who got auto filled don't use those opportunities to learn something about it or at least learn to appreciate good supports. They rather play half hearted, and are just glad that it's over if they win or otherwise blame auto fill for the loss. If they are back on their primary roles however, they often continue to rant about the other players playing half hearted auto fill support, or - if they got a dedicated support - still don't really appreciate it. ---- Two examples (you can skip these if you're not into story telling): Lately I played a Normal as Janna support. I'm far from awesome, but better than half heartedly playing auto fillers I guess. My ADC was Ashe who took Flash and TP, which is an unconventional choice, but I don't judge. I took Flash and Heal to make up for the lack of Heal. At one point we got ganked from the enemy jungler Elise, and we burn both ults, both flashes and my heal there - but we both stay alive after all. I back behind out turret, but Ashe stays with merely 120 HP and no mana left. She goes back to farming, just to die 8 seconds later because the enemy turned around as soon as the wave shed vision on Ashe. So I did everything I could and actually kept us both alive, but she doesn't appreciate that but rather takes it for granted before throwing the whole play's gains away. This is what makes playing support so frustrating at times. Same match, in the end... Our Veigar mid is pretty fed, and while in front of the enemy mid lane's inhibitor, he flashes backwards into wolf camp camp to kill off Elise who's looping around from the base gate in direction of the blue buff. I turn around from midlane, running after him to support him, as he'll also face two additional enemies there - Lulu and Sion. As soon as he's between the walls of the wolves and the blue buff, the enemy Sion is ulting towards Veigar. I stand before him, but try to flash behind him so he'll take the ult and not me. I plan to abort the Sion knockup with my Q, and reset a potential chase with my ult if necessary. Unfortunately I get caught on the brink of the knockup radius, and am stunned with him, into knockup, into death because their "ADC" Lulu (in fact they didn't have a proper ADC) collapses on us together with Elise who did of course not die from Veigar's attempt. While still dead, he begins to flame in chat like "OMG Janna why flash behind me you killed us both" etc. Actually I supposed he wouldn't survive even if I took the ult, because as soon as I was dead he'd be chased down by a Sion sped up by Lulu, and since he had just used his Flash to get over the wall, he would not have gotten away anyway. So instead I tried a play to keep me alive a bit to get him safely out of there. He doesn't know that (which I don't blame him for, it was a split second decision). He cannot possibly know my plan. But at that point I was 0/5/17, my warding had prohibited a Baron attempt, any my Baron call had worked out for us. It could've been noticed that I wasn't just doing random stuff. Yet it was super obvious to him that it was my fault he died after flashing into three people to pursue his plan... That kind of reaction is what I guess drives away a lot of players from the support role. Because if a carry flashes offensively for a kill, it's okay, if the support afterwards flashes defensively to survive and maybe save the carry, and that play doesn't work out, the carry's death is clearly the support's fault. ;) ---- So after all, using the 5 W's technique, I do not locate the problem at the auto fill. For me, the problem is rather the frequency that auto fill needs to be used to make up for a lack of interest in a certain role at a certain ELO level, which is usually caused by unproper appreciation for those who would maybe play that role if they were actually appreciated for doing that.

Now I'm not expert but Janna is kinda one of those champs you can play decent with even if your not overly skilled, very supportive like. We lanes against a draven, Zyra. I even said to my ADC, this lane is horrendously difficult, I'm average at best and both them have disgusting early game damage and out range us, please focus on farming and late game and try not to feed. She spent the whole time trying to make pro level vayne plays and ended up going 0/9 by the end of the landing phase despite me constantly shielding and knocking up etc. I hate feeling that you have no control, if your team can't understand matchups or game basics then as a support you can't do anything to win that game. I main top lane, mostly carries so I can at least split and force objectives and stuff or come support the team if they need help but as a support of people want to play like idiots and feed, the best you can do is try and stop them dying as much, you can force objectives yourself or create map pressure. In a good team I love playing support but auto fill is too risky for me.

: Fill means support, usually. Just because they don't want extended que times doesn't mean they only play support. All role que times were cut down (By almost 3/4) by autofill. I'm not sure how long you've been playing, but when Teambuilder was implemented you'd expect to be in que for about 20 minutes before being put in a game. The que time was so long that it'd often take several attempts because many people got distracted while waiting and miss the ready check.

Been playing since season 2 but I've never had queues that long. Team builder beats the old school style of crossing your fingers people didn't troll pick I guess.

: Camille nerf??
I'm no expert at champ balancing but I just played against a Camille. I was kassadin, I had 10 stack rod, lichbane and halfway to hourglass. I had a fully charged R and tuft walked into her face and unleaded hell. This would normally one shot a marksmen or maybe like 60-80%hp if they are building semi tank and do a large chunk of damage to a more tanky champ. She took about 3% hp and then killed me in about 3 seconds. Just thinking there's something in that. Her ult is also yet another point and click win which I hate.
: You play one game a week? First off if that were true when whining about not being able to win is utterly ridiculous. Secondly that's a lie because you've played 11 games in the past 6 days. If you wanna win get better at the game by playing more. If you can't play more then play a game that isn't based on skill. League is a competitive game it's not gonna change itself because your life can't accommodate putting the time in to do what the very game was designed for.
I think what op is getting at is he wants to play fair games, not have to raise his level to that of a platinum player. rlo isn't very accurate.

: Actaully finding it hard in bronze
Dude I'm so glad I'm not only one! I was going to start my own thread. I feel that bronze III tends to be populated by the following: mongs And Really good players with no map awareness or teamwork. I find I am an average player but I work fantastic in a good team. I understand the meta, vision, towed, wave control etc, but my own mechanics are average at best. Bronze is hard for me because although the lanes are either even or maybe the other players are stronger then me, so often my team has no idea how not to loose. I see jugglers farming for 30mins, sups going all in when we are way behind and have no hope of winning a fight, people chasing lee for days, flashing for ks etc... I'm stuck in bronze hell!!
