Wrong runes/masterys? I see your point however your implementation would strongly limit the game, and I don't think riot wants to do that. Players should be able to do what ever they want, play adc swain, why not, ap tryn? hell yeah. Is kennen ad or ap? what about teemo? I know it can be annoying however in champion select you litterally onnly have to do 3 things Bann pick and runes/masterys/summoners, I dont think tha is too much to ask and messing that up is proof of poor concentraition. Okay, so with adcs it's very simple. Auto attack based champions with aoe are strongest late. That is Kog with hurricanes, jinx with the bazooka and twitch with his ult. The reason for this is simply because spells cant crit ( the only example I can think of is MF ult and that doesn't scale particularly well with crit), lategame you will have an average crit chance of 70-80% around 1,8-2,1 attack speed (notice all 3 lategame champions I names have an attack speed buff which gets them up close to if not to max attack speed). The damage is generally 0,8K, that's a dps of 2,4k which is huge and results in the synergy of attack speed/damage/crit. --- Kassadins Ultimate scales extremely well with levels, not only does the cool down and damage get significant buffs, but also the range gets buffs. On top of that he scales very well, which brings me to my next point: scaling, Ability's usually have a set amount of damage and then an added bonus either ap/ad/mr or armour. --- Scaling on ability's: In the early / early mid game ability's get most of their damage from their base damage stat. How ever lategame when you ramp up more and more items the scaling becomes increasingly important, so that way champions with better scaling inherently have better lategame. --- Item builds: also play a factor, for instance trinity or lethality champions usually don't have as great of a late game (Corki, Lucian etc) you sacrifice a bit of the lategame scaling for a mid game power spike. There are also items who need to stack such as rod, who only unlock their true potential mid too late-midgame --- Item counters: some champions are easily countered by simply one item, however since people enerally dont want to rush that item early game since it would put them too far behind they chose to go for it mid-game, the qss to counter Malzahar for instence, the Zohnias or Ga vs assasins like Nocturne Anti healing vs champions such as Soraka --- Expensive Build: The classical adc crit build is {{item:3031}} 2 attackspeed items etc {{item:3085}} {{item:3087}} either {{item:3072}} or {{item:3139}} and then {{item:3036}} or {{item:3033}} That is 16k gold since two of the absolutely mandatory items are one of the most expensive in the game {{item:3031}} + {{item:3139}} or {{item:3072}} --- Champion type: Assassins are usually weaker in the late game since late game people tend to be in a group setting pushing an objective making it hard for an Assassin to do his thing (one of the reasons Pantheon is weak), Dps and aoe champions usually trumpfe lategame due to the team-fight nature of it

Then they are playing to their own loss. As a 5 man team you play flex, since only then you get a kinda fair enemy, playing normals is way to easy and nothing is learned from it. Also just because you have a certain rank doesn't mean you play that ranked in normals, you see so much flame because of rank because people are unable to understand that in normal games people don't necessarily play their main role or champion and don't concentrate as much. People play for fun and not for win

The winrate of 4 vs 5 is 11.55% however that is the stat if he is afk from the start, there are no open source statistics which can be directly applied to this thread.
