: Yeah and you should do it often. I once didn't and the ticket remained opened for a month without an answer. Actually it happened twice with the same ticket.
They just closed the ticket, still clinging to the fact there was no mistake and still not providing me with any proof to back up their claims. They even responded "We cannot provide you with any evidence." That was a literal sentence coming from Riot support after me asking for proof to show me that I was clearly holding a name the community found toxic. How far does one's head have to be up their own ass for them to type this? Riot support is a joke.

: >Still, the name was in dutch and if you can read that, it means you're either from Belgium or The Netherlands. I'm pretty sure that surname has French pronunciation regardless where you're from. >Also Google. It would have taken that employee 2 seconds to confirm my story and claim, yet he or she could not be bothered. When it comes to punishments, they rarely do bother unless you prod them at least 3 times.
> When it comes to punishments, they rarely do bother unless you prod them at least 3 times. If true, that's honestly as pathetic as it gets.

: According to the support staff, none of those responses _(except the literal "Blitzcrank Bot")_ are 'automated', but they are all copy-pastas anyway. If that's the response you were given, it means the person assigned the ticket did not actually bother reading the entire thing and certainly did not anyhow investigate it and you should bump the ticket again. Bonus points if you ask them to finally give you a human response, then they usually start talking like actual human beings. As for the system, I wouldn't give it that much credit, considering it is still a normal surname and the whole story is actually over a decade old. I for one have never heard about that dude.
Belgium's a small country and the Dutroux name isn't know much further than some neighboring countries. Still, the name was in dutch and if you can read that, it means you're either from Belgium or The Netherlands. 2 Countries in which he is quite known. Easy to make the link afterwards. Also Google. It would have taken that employee 2 seconds to confirm my story and claim, yet he or she could not be bothered.
: i mean not gonna lie i'm on your side but eedtspasjent in dutch phonetically translates to "aids patient" if you read it like a dutchman would. This being said it's way to subtle to be bannable in my opinion since you won't notice if you're not looking for it. I mean leagues tribunal system is programmed by idiots. I've seen people with names like n2ggerh4nter or shit like that get let through.
When it comes to toxic names, it's all about perspective. My first name was indeed toxic considering it references a man responsible for the kidnapping and death of numerous children. And in a small counrty like Belgium, that kinda puts everyone against you. But there's people running around with names like 'Stalin', 'Leopold II' or funky phonetical writings of historical mass-murderers. Yet the community mostly seems to find this 'funny' or 'amusing' due to it being so obvious. I'm partially to blame too, like all of us I assume, because I would definitely chuckle when I saw a name like 'Stalin' in the loading screen, yet be rather suprised when I saw 'Dutroux' asking myself how it got accepted. I guess there is an argument for blanket bans or for the 'Report a Summoner's name' feature to be removed but I can't be bothered.

: What was the response from the support? Their first copy-pasted response is ALWAYS that whatever the system decided is correct and unless you bump the ticket like 3 times, you're not going to get a human response, at least when it comes to questions related to punishments. And if you include proper keywords, you will get a literal bot response. I once had a bot tell me the number of times I got reported over a number of games... when I specifically asked about **_a suspension on the Boards_**.
My first response may have been automated, but I did get in touch with a human afterwards. At least I think I did. To quote from my support ticket; "Perhaps the community found your second name to be as equally offensive." I don't believe the automated message system is capaple of compiling something like that. Also, an automated system isn't as delusional to suggest the name of convict is less toxic than something completely incomprehensible.

This was pointed out to me before. Creative but not my intent, I mashed at least 3 words together to create the name and none of them translate to either 'aids' or 'patient'. EDIT: See this as a poor excuse if you will. Most of our purposefully misspelled words are derived from numerous Belgian dialects, thus a Dutchman may read it differently. The dutch language and Belgian dialects are miles apart. The latter is almost not understandable by the former, even I don't understand half of the dialects spoken in my country and that's saying something considering Belgium is the size of a small town.
: the amount of system errors are so low that riots support team is capable of handling that work load the actions taken are based on strict criteria like trigger words repeated offenses and frequency of being reported to name a few the amount of variables that the system considers sometimes leads to a false positive ban and in those cases it's strictly advised to contact the support team but this way is infinitely better than being chat restricted for 500 games because 1000 people voted to punish just so they can get 150 ip in game
And here I am sitting at the wrong end of a system error. They may happen very infrequently and Riot's support team may very well be capable of handling the work load but I have yet to see proof of that. Certainly since the delusional response I recieved.

: Don't get it wrong. I do not say you lie to me or anything like that. Its not my job to decide it :) I honestly think that your case is most interesting. And hope more people will upvote like me, maybe someone of riot will look at it and take action. If I was you, I would write to them again... Explain the situation, but very shortly. And see what happens. I had carried the name Stalin1942 for S2, S3 and part of S4... Never seen a problem with it... I transfered my account, and after months it got deleted for inactivity. Last year, I had a problem with one of my account names, a rioter agreed to resolve it, without making me any problems. I asked him to pick new name he/she likes, and for more than a year, I see no more harass about it. (I'm sorry good guy or girl, I forgot your name) Most rioters resolve problems instead of making them... Try again.
I made two tickets. One is already closed and the other, still open, is recieving the 'your suspension is fair' treatment. Riot employees solve more problems than they create, but they do seem to follow the automated sytem quite blindly without attempting to further investigate where necessary. I did however find the delusional assumption my assigned Riot supporter made to be quite unprofessional. Depending on the final verdict of said ticket, I might make a new one even though the ban will have most likely passed by then.

: Well , I upvote this. Because its interesting case. In case this really translates "feeding frenzy" I do not see how anyone who is not completely %%%%%%ed will find it offensive. The problem is, is the punishment you got for this name, or for the one before...
It's hard for me to explain as I can't prove it to anyone that either isn't Dutch or isn't in my close group of friends that it actually translates to 'feeding frenzy'. You'll just have to take my word for it this time. I can prove the other name though, as you simply have to google 'Dutroux' to find out how toxic of a name choice that actually was. I cannot comprehend a Riot employee deemed me delusional enough to believe people would go out of their way to report a name they can't possibly understand rather than the name of a horrendous convict.
: the human factor made an immeasurable amount of false positives "the amount of people wrongly banned during the tribunal days"
For claimed toxicity, yes. Because not everyone's view on toxicity is equal. But for claimed system errors?
