: The game might be in a pretty balanced state, minus the few FOTM Champs, but those will be in every meta. But the community is in no way better. EVERY Loss in my match history goes back to someone inting or straight up AFKing. The matchmaking just fails at creating challenging games. Its allways one team dominating, that is what frustrates people so they don't give 100% anymore. The rare fair matches are REALLY fun though.
DemonikSoul (EUNE)
: and how are we supposed to see the fish moving inside the ult ? couse there is absolutly no way to see this thing circling - especially when the ulty moves. And there are alot of cases where this "gets close to you" is literally half way through the map
That my friend is where probably everyone agrees on. It's just not visible and Riot needs to fix that.

If you feel like this is inappropriate in a game, you may leave at any time, good sir. Nobody is forcing you to stay. I don't have problems with the rules Riot has set up, but people that have been permabanned do. Yes Insults can be legally sanctioned in certain scenarios, but I am not talking about legal sanctions but about the reaction of people when insulted. Most LoL players would probably kill some druggie that started insulting them on the street. Psychopaths.
I wouldn't kill anyone for insulting me, that much is certain. But I would tell that person, if he or she doesn't stop it I will call the police. Because that's going from insulting to harassing then. I know feelings can get out of control in some situations. But they shouldn't get the better of you for the whole game... and most flamers are like that. They start blaming you for arbitrary reasons that more often than not are their own faults and they will continue doing so on every single situation where you don't act like they expect you to. The very definition of being immature. I couldn't care less if permabanning is the right thing to do or not. I don't want these people in my games, period. And I believe most players feel like that.
: Comparing driver license confiscation to person flaming in-game even though the mute option exists. There is no excuse for permabanning flamers and there never will be. Bye

: The ult pretty much hits me with 100% accuracy and i do feel like if it hits you die which feels unfair because no other mage has this damage + mobility
No, other mages don't have that damage + mobility. That's why they are called assassins. If you pick a mage into an assassin, you should consider that dueling is not your way to win the lane. Mages are meant to deal huge blows in team fights and to provide utility. Assassins are meant to pick high priority targets and to clean up team fights. They skirmish, and they try to avoid going into full on 5v5s. Now comes the point where I agree Riot went a wrong way, and that is making Fizz a self engaging assassin with a long range ultimate. This is totally out of place theme wise and class wise. Instead of working into his nature of being slippery, playful, quick and agile, they gave him this ultimate that even emphasizes the long range aspect. LeBlanc, Zed and especially Yasuo provide everything for outplaying enemies and Fizz doesn't really come close to their potential... but that's just my 50 cents on the assassin update...
kullehh (EUW)
: yeah dude thats the hitbox its massive , have you been ganked by a fizz jungle from nowhere you see a mega shark atached to you he q into you E away and you are dead , not good he can throw that ult anywhere and atack it into someone
The hitbox is approximately that of Morganas Q. This feels clunky sometimes as well, but it's an ultimate after all, so it deserves some kind of "security". The projectile speed is slow enough to dodge it easily, if you are prepared for it. Again, it's not the actual hitbox of the "flying" fish that feels unfair, it's the "circling" fish that attaches to you after it landed on the ground. Also, if Fizz ganks you "out of nowhere", it's your fault for not having any vision or map awareness. This is not even a problem of the champion.
Neur0tiix (EUNE)
: Omg, I see now. Its the fish circling in the circle that gets attached to you. Sometimes the ult lands next to you, but it doesnt attach to you. Then even if you havent moved, ult can get attached to you as the fish circles and gets closer to you. Wow, you just gave me new knowledge, thank you. Its always been like that or its new after rework? 5 Years lol Veteran here without knowing this by the way. Thanks again.
It's always been like this, but I believe the changes to the AoE size (depending on the range), has also been applied to the attaching fish, which of course artificially increases the actual "range" to something that feels like getting cheated on. You often think "ha, I dodged that easily" and you certainly did... and then you get shat on by that circling fish, which almost has the radius of the old Fizz ultimate.
kullehh (EUW)
: did you see that hitbox , thats insane
The hitbox isn't the problem. It hasn't been changed as far as I know. The problem is the huge area it covers, after it lands on the floor. Most people actually complain about that without realizing it. You can see that here: https://youtu.be/Lcsa9mzrYas?t=16 It lands on the floor in front or next to Nidalee and after that it attaches to Nidalee, because the area of the circling fish is huge af. It's not a buggy or huge hitbox. It's an intentional feature.
: how did they manage to make fizz, the champion that everybody hates, EVEN MORE annoying?
"his ult is basically targeted because you can't miss it from melee range" And then it deals almost no damage at all... the whole point of this rework was to force Fizz into using it at the longest range possible in order to avoid melee ults. Fizz is supposed to be the only self-initiating assassin. But I agree that the ultimate feels off and Riot should do something about it. I seemingly missed many long range ultimates, but the HUGE circle in which the fish is swimming around will almost always attach to the enemy afterwards. I can imagine that it feels like cheating.
: It IS toxic behaviour. You don't need to point out a fact. Nobody wants you to point out obvious facts. Everyone knows how the current situation is and you don't need to tell demoralizing facts.
Exactly. It's like your sitting in a car with your friend, you are having an accident and your friend goes like "dude... you just wasted your car!" OH REALLY?!
: So what's your opinion? :/
If it were for me, anyone who says open mid and actually does so would be banned in my book. You people are the worst in this game at the moment. mimimi, my lane is lost, ff20, open mid, can't do shit. Dude, you are not the only player in your team. Just because you lost your lane doesn't mean the game is lost. If you can't handle losing your lane, even if it is not your fault, go play a single player game.

: I just deleted LoL because of the community in this game
I really feel like it is getting worse as well... the amount of games I lost the last two weeks, because of people who are more into blaming and flaming than actually playing or because they tilt and open their lane, is like 400% higher compared to the beginning of last season... it's so not fun to play ranked at the moment, I am actually considering to wait things out for a few weeks... Maybe it's only in flex queue like that. Anyone having made different experiences in solo/duo?
: So I am forced to play ranked? **[rant and reason]**
Oh, it's that time of the year again... > But I really consider quitting this game after all these years. : Flex Queue = Place to practice new champions and new roles There is no way flex queue will be in any way, shape or form legit place where people play to earn high ranks. Its gonna be a place to test new stuff, new builds and new roles. Because where else can I practice new midlaner, without risk of affecting my solo q mmr and rank? That's the only option left, so Flex Queue will be a joke - as Riot designed it to be.
Huh? Excuse me, but what are normals for then?

: Advice for mid lane fizz.
Early game with Fizz always sucks, especially against ranged champions. But your E allows for some clever trades. If you want to go for a trade, try to dodge your enemies spell and hit your E on your enemy at the same time. Never use it just to avoid damage. It costs far too much mana for that. Maybe the only matchup where this is viable is against LeBlanc. Because otherwise her level 2 Q-W will just destroy you, no matter what. If you can side step a spell shot, and your enemy is close enough for a W-Q, you should almost always go full ham. Your enemy has now one spell on cooldown and you can still dodge another one with your E. If you don't completely screw up, you will most likely win the trade or maybe even get a kill out of it. Early power spikes with fizz are level 3 and level 6. Get to level 3 faster than your enemy and try to trade immediately. But always keep an eye on the enemy minions and the jungler. The moment you used your E to trade with your enemy is your most vulnerable to ganks, which also means, only ever use it to farm, if you are really sure, you won't be attacked. I usually only do that to clear a wave before going back. If you can't get to level 3 early enough, you continue to trade as described above. If you get to level 6 before your enemy, you can almost always get a kill easily. If not he will most likely at least flash. But it is crucial to hit your ultimate of course. If you miss, you are a sitting duck for the next two minutes. You may try to dive under the tower, but it will most likely cost you a flash and you should be sure that you'll end up with a kill. If you are up against a melee champ like Kata, you can try to start with W and max it first. They need to get close to deal serious damage and your W will usually outtrade them. You also have the means to stick to them with Q and E, to deal as much damage as possible with AAs while their skills are on cooldown. Always start with a corruption potion. The DoT really adds up in the beginning, together with W and Ignite. And you will need to keep your health bar up to stay in lane as long as possible, especially against ranged. If your enemy is on low health and doesn't come close enough to you, you can try to flash-WQ in order to make a quick kill. There are lots of people who don't respect the offensive flash range. You can by the way flash while Fizz is on his trident. Many people try to dodge your E with a flash, so you can try to just flash after them. Itemization, like always, depends very much on the matchup, but generally you want to aim for 45% cooldown and usually Lichbane as well as Hourglass. Against difficult magic damage matchups like LeBlanc, you want to go for an early Negatron Cloak into Abyssal. It's a lot of text and I feel like I generalized a bit too much on some parts, but I hope this is still of some help. :)
I am not a game dev, but I have been a software developer for the past seven years. I learned quite a few things about the gaming industry though, as I have aspired it once too. It didn't work out for me though, for a number of reasons. It's a good start, but what really matters is, that you can get stuff done. You should have a portfolio of games, so people can see, you are actually capable of finishing a game. You don't believe how many there are, talking about becoming a game developer, but they seriously lack dedication to learn the stuff that is necessary and to keep working on a project, until it is finished. Start with something small... like a flappy bird clone or a simple platformer. Don't be another guy that tries to do an MMO as his first game :P You also want to get involved in the game developer community, so people can get to know you. Dedication and networking are your two main sources of success in this industry. It's a "difficult" industry, where you probably have to deal with a number of setbacks. This is why you want to have a good network of people that can help you and possibly even employ you. And when the time comes, you'll help others in return! So for you this means to have it all, facebook, linkedin, twitter, you name it. Try to get involved in everything game dev related, that interests you. Maybe this is a good starting point for you: https://www.facebook.com/groups/GameDevBeginners/?fref=ts You should also be prepared to spend a few bucks on learning material. There are quite a lot of free resources, but the really good ones usually are not for free. I hope this is a bit of help! Good luck on your journey!

If you think a champ is broken or OP pick or ban him. Otherwise try to figure out what works against him. In this case for example I can guarantee you that the fact alone of being able to dodge turret shots with Fizz won't make you play him well. And to the point that "You can't let a champion get away for free like that": - either squishy (if building AP) or not much dmg (if building tank) - throw CC at him (and no, not just the one ability he can dodge) and focus him after he used his e (bait it out) - force him to use e and waste mana - buy MR or rush dmg if you spike before he does - poke/ deny farm - out-trade/ all-in him when his ult is on cd - respect his lvl 6 and play accordingly - dodge his ult (a skillshot btw) or buy {{item:3102}} - avoid playing low mobility champs against him - ping if he roams - play {{champion:8}} {{champion:26}} {{champion:3}} {{champion:13}} {{champion:127}} {{champion:131}} against him - buy {{item:3157}} if you can - don't play {{champion:41}} + {{summoner:11}} So to summarize: Fizz is not OP - he can be really strong if played right though (same goes for about 99% of all the other champs). The trade-off for having an untargetability spell is he can only use it either for dmg (other champs have higher dmg spells with lower cd) or to dodge/ escape (again, other champs have lower cd dodges/ escapes). There is quite a bit of counterplay to Fizz. And if all else fails - just ban him.
I agree with you on most things, but tank Fizz really needed some nerfs. Unfortunately Riot doesn't know how to address this problem. The recent nerfs are probably worse for AP Fizz than for tank Fizz. And tank Fizz is still going to be a pain in the arse after these changes.
: We didn't want to let Yasuo's W block turret shots because that would be just to OP. -Phreak {{sticker:slayer-pantheon-thumbs}}

It actually is his W that is toxic on tank Fizz. The damage of this skill is not really visible to an opponent and is also the main reason (together with the ultimate mark) for tank Fizz to deal so much damage without actually building damage.
: That joke is really old. Season 3 at the latest old.

: It wouldn't solve the problem you mentioned, it would just conceal it. There are quite many players like me, who only play enough ranked to get the season rewards, so we stop in gold each season, while we have significantly higher normal MMR. For all intents and purposes, people like us would ruin the game for silver and bronze players just as much as a diamond player would, you just wouldn't see a diamond border on the loading screen, only a gold one. Also, this is pretty much a mistake on the new dynamic queue's side, and Riot is admittedly working on it. For details look up the dynamic queue round table video by Riot. Personally before the dynamic queue i never had people under lvl30 in my team for at least 3 years, and now with the longer queue times at night and the new system, i have at least one such game every week. The official statement of Riot in that they know and they are working on it.
I was about to say that. The amount of normal games I do succeed the amount of ranked games by far.
DJarpa (EUW)
: I think some of the damage should be redistributed from mobility abilities on LeBlank and Fizz
What people still don't understand about Fizz: His E is overloaded, because it forces you to make a conscious decision whether you need your spell to deal damage or for dodging/gap closing. If you move the damage from E, to his Q or W, you'll end up with a champion that most likely will not need his E at all for damage, so you'll always keep it up for dodging spells, even in an all-in. The way it is now (provided you are not fed as hell), you HAVE to use E offensively to burst someone down. Now, it is very much debatable if his cooldown on E is actually healthy or not. I'd say the 45% CDR cap has made it slightly unhealthy, but that is something Riot seems to be addressing already on PBE. I'd advise watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2LR3T6MgbI I don't agree on all points he makes, but the general idea seems right. The point about the wave clear has already been made, so I am not elaborating that.

It's certainly not as bad as Yorik, but I've got to agree here. The last three games I played against Zyra were extremely anti fun. It's not even her kit, you can somewhat play around that. But the unreal damage, that she can do without even a single AP item, doesn't feel right.

: Let me correct myself : There are high risk high reward champions like {{champion:268}} . There are low risk low reward champions. {{champion:163}} . I'm talking about the third tier in my comment.
Which is funny, because if I look at your match history, you seem to have lost your last two games with Fizz, your last four games with Yi and your last three games with Annie, with an overall winrate on all three of them, which is not exactly astonishing... I am not trying to mock you or anything, I just want you to see that saying "you almost cant mess up but solo carry games" is massively exaggerated... as it is very often in these kinds of threads.

: no, we cry because he, like yi or jax, require 0 skill and give very high reward
Let's be honest here.... there are few champions that actually require any kind of "skill" to be played. It's the game knowledge that wins games, not the more than simplistic mechanics most champions in LoL have.
: He IS being nerfed. His E specifically :)
Not yet. It's only on PBE and it can still be changed. I do think however, that his E could use a one second nerf, because of the 45% CDR cap that has been introduced with the new masteries.
